In our walk with God, compromise is the enemy of consecration. Consecration means being 'set apart,' but compromise is when we blur those lines. It’s when we relax our standards just to be comfortable or to be liked, effectively handing back to the world what we already dedicated to God." We see that happen a lot with the Israelites in the old testaments- the constant abandoning of the precepts of God. It is also visible in the life of the modern day Christian.
