The Tampa Bay Buccaneers got a steal in Rueben Bain when the talented defensive lineman fell to them in the first round of the NFL Draft. Bain is so talented, he can change the momentum of the pirate ship in Tampa and get this team back to it's winning ways in the NFC South. The New Orleans Saints needed to support their young quarterback in Tyler Shough and that's exactly what they did by adding Jordyn Tyson and Malachi Fields in the draft. The Carolina Panthers were smart to snag Monroe Freeling in the first round and they continued adding nice pieces throughout the draft that now put all of the onus on Bryce Young as he enters Year 4. Finally, the Atlanta Falcons did not have many picks, but what they did have they did well with in the NFL Draft and they also got excellent news when second-year talent James Pearce Jr. avoided serious consequences for his incident earlier this year. The Los Angeles Rams shocked the world in round one when they selected quarterback Ty Simpson out of Alabama and this may prove to be a prudent moves for the Rams, but it certainly does nothing to help their 2026 unless the Rams shock the world twice. The Jacksonville Jaguars didn't have a first rounder, but they found a way to shock the world anyways with their confusing selections. Jacksonville went way against the consensus board to get their targets and it could leave them looking like the smartest in the room, but it could also leave egg on their face as well.
