The Book Of The Generation Of Jesus Christ. Matthew 1
The term "gospel" (which means "good tidings") refers to a book that contains the good news of Jesus Christ's salvation for us. St. Matthew specifically highlights how the Jews' conviction was brought about by the predictions coming true. Christ's conception, His life afterward, and His lineage back to King David.
