Paul's appeal to Philemon is founded in the Gospel. Each element of the appeal comes from what God's has gifted us through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

As the church, our common unity is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We as the body of Christ are a community that gathers together and works together for the glory of God.

Faith can be a struggle to accomplish in our lives. When God reveals Himself, we need to be willing to lean into faith and answer His calling on our lives.

Easter Sermon: Everything about the faith centers around this one truth that Jesus Christ is alive! He has resurrected from death to give us life.

Faithfulness is seen in our actions when no one else is watching or when no one else is willing. We are called to be faithful because Christ was faithful to us.

At the time of Jesus' death, 3 cries are heard. They teach us much about the work of Christ on the cross.

The final days of Jesus' time on the earth were filled with mockery. We know that those who follow Christ will also face mockery.

Jesus Christ took our place. Even as people willfully reject the work and salvation of Jesus, He was still willing to be our substitute.

What happens when God removes us from our comforts?

Christ fulfills all the festivals God established in the Levitical law. The things observed by the Jews, Christ fulfilled to its fullest for us.

Every date God chooses is intentional. God works His purpose for His glory. We are offered freedom and renewal because of the things that take place 50 days following the Passover.

Do we give our best to God? What does that actually look like? Are we willing to give our best to the Lord?

What do the Feasts of Passover and Unleavened Bread teach us about Jesus and the process of salvation?

The Bible calls us to rest. What is that supposed to look like? How does Jesus fulfill the Sabbath?

What does it mean to serve? How can we serve? Why should we serve?

The expectation of the Messiah King of the Old Testament helps us as we wait in expectation for the King of kings.

We can find ourselves at Christmas wanting to receive more than we give. We find ourselves not content in the place that God has us. We as believers must think differently.

Every journey begins with a single step. To find peace, Paul gives us 2 basic steps.

In a culture that can feel chaotic, we long for peace. Where is the source of that peace and what power can this peace have in our lives?

We know we will be glorified one day after our time on this earth but what do we do while we wait for that day?

Have we reached perfection? Have we reached glorification? Not yet so what do we do to pursue that day of glorification?

Have you ever lost something that turned out to be a gain? When does losing something turn out for the better?

What does it mean to serve the church? How can we be used by God to serve the church faithfully?

As individuals and as the church, we are called to pursue holiness. We are able to do so because of the work of Christ in his death and resurrection.

Whether you accept Jesus now or reject Him, one day every knee will bow and every tongue will confess Christ as Lord. Sadly for many it will be too little too late. How can we humble ourselves to the Lord now before we are forced into humility later?

How do I live a life that is worthy of the Gospel? How do we as a church walk in a manner that is worthy of the Gospel?

How should Christians view life and death? Which is better? Paul contemplates both options.

When life gets hard, do you see it as a moment to advance the Gospel? Paul saw his time in prison as an opportunity and rejoiced when the Gospel was proclaimed.

The Gospel provides so much for our lives including salvation. The Gospel works for us in more way than just our salvation experience. Come hear what the Gospel can do for you.

There are many who claim to belong to Jesus Christ but what does it truly mean to be a follower and servant of Jesus Christ?

What do these 3 minor judges teach us about living life how we want? What happens when we focus more on our own desires instead of the will of God?

The church is one big family. While we love our families, there will be conflict at times. Most of the time that is due to pride. What happens when we let pride lead our lives?

Have you ever said something you later regretted? Did you make a promise to God that you could not keep? What happens when we confused the things of God with the things of idols?

What happens when we do not submit to God as our leader? What path does that lead my life toward?

When God responds in judgment against our sins, how should we respond? When God convicts us, how should we respond?

Peace is not something we are used to. Life seems more chaotic than peaceful. So what do we do when we are given peace?

What happens when we are outside God's will? Is there really any harm doing life how we want?

Our decisions affect more than just us. When we choose the world, we are making an impact that hurts our children and grandchildren. The world makes empty promises but God fulfills all of His promises.

Your salvation came at a cost. Your freedom from sin was bought by the suffering of Jesus Christ. His suffering, death and resurrection leads to eternal life for those who believe.

There are somethings in life that occur due to our depraved nature as humans. There is good news through Jesus who frees us from the penalty of a sinful life.
