Wild Truth: A Mustang Journey for the Warrior Spirit
This documentary produced by Coach Rex takes viewers behind the scenes of the Mustang Mission for Warriors retreat, focusing on the coaches and equine learners who bring this work to life. Through intimate footage of Coach Rex, Linda (Resilient Warriors), and Troy (Mustang Journey), the film reveals the intentional coaching, the emotional intelligence of the mustangs, and the deep internal shifts that happen when veterans step into the arena. As the story unfolds, veterans share their own powerful reflections — honest, vulnerable, and deeply affirming of why this mission matters. Wild Truth shows not just what happened, but why it stays with you.

Religion and Your Identity
“Welcome back to the Identity series. Today we’re stepping into a topic that hits deep for a lot of people — especially veterans, high performers, and anyone raised in a strong faith environment. What do you do when your entire identity is wrapped in God, Christ, or your spiritual beliefs… but you don’t actually know who you are?
-

Identity is something You Train Not Find
Today we’re talking about becoming — the truth that identity isn’t something you discover, it’s something you train. Most people wait for clarity, confidence, or motivation before they act. But identity doesn’t show up first. Action does. And the person you become is built through the reps you choose every single day.”
-

Your Identity is NOT the Role You're Assigned
Today we’re talking about one of the biggest traps men fall into — confusing who they are with the roles they play. Roles change. Roles end. Roles evolve. But identity is the constant underneath all of it. If you’ve ever felt lost after a breakup, a job change, leaving the military, or losing a title, this episode is going to hit home.”

“Identity Theft: 7 Things You Should *NOT* Build Your Identity On”
“Identity Theft: What You Should *NOT* Build Your Identity On”**Core Mission:** Strip away the false identities men cling to so they can rebuild from truth, not performance.🔥 EPISODE INTRO“Welcome back to *Identity*. Today we’re talking about identity theft — not the kind that hits your bank account, but the kind that hits your soul. Most men are walking around with identities built on things that can be taken away, changed, or destroyed. And when those things fall apart, so do they. This episode is about reclaiming who you are by letting go of what you’re not.”

"Identity" Ep2 Political identifying isn't just limiting-it's dangerous to your personal identity.
THE COACHING TAKEAWAYIdentifying with a political party isn’t just limiting — it’s dangerous to your personal identity.Because when you attach your identity to a party, you risk:Adopting values that aren’t yoursBelieving stories you didn’t writeReinforcing habits that don’t serve youStaying in environments that limit your growthReducing your life experiences to a political stereotypePolitical parties are tools. They’re not identities.Your identity should be built on your values, your beliefs, your habits, your environment, and your experiences — not on a label created by someone else.

No Vision = No Future! Find out why everyday feels like the last.
It's because when you have no goals, or vision your life will go in circles. My next guest Mary Hill has the helped many veterans transitioning from Active Duty service and has the perfect debrief from what she has learned and applied in coaching.Lacking a vision for yourself can indeed lead to a sense of having "no future" because a vision acts as a roadmap, guiding your decisions and actions toward a desired destination. Without it, you're essentially adrift, susceptible to external forces and lacking internal motivation. Here's how:* **Lack of Direction and Purpose:** A vision provides direction and purpose. It answers the fundamental question: "Where am I going?" Without a vision, you may feel lost, unmotivated, and without a clear sense of what you want to achieve. This can lead to a feeling of aimlessness and stagnation.* **Procrastination and Inaction:** Without a compelling vision, there's little incentive to take action. Goals seem arbitrary and lack the emotional weight to spur you into consistent effort. Procrastination becomes the norm as tasks feel meaningless.* **Vulnerability to External Influences:** Without an internal compass, you become more susceptible to external pressures and distractions. Others' opinions or societal expectations can easily dictate your choices, leading to a life that feels less authentic and fulfilling.* **Missed Opportunities:** A vision helps you identify and seize opportunities aligned with your aspirations. Without it, you may miss opportunities because you lack the awareness of what you're seeking and how to recognize it.* **Lowered Self-Esteem and Motivation:** Constantly drifting without direction can lead to decreased self-esteem and motivation. The lack of progress and accomplishment can create feelings of failure and inadequacy.* **Difficulty in Decision-Making:** Every choice, big or small, requires context. A vision provides that context, making decisions easier and more aligned with your long-term goals. Without a vision, decision-making becomes arbitrary and often leads to dissatisfaction.* **Increased Stress and Anxiety:** The uncertainty of not knowing where you're heading can cause chronic stress and anxiety. The lack of control over your life’s trajectory can be overwhelming and emotionally draining. In essence, a vision provides the framework for a fulfilling future. It's the engine driving ambition, fueling motivation and resilience, and guiding you towards a life you designed rather than one imposed upon you. The absence of a vision leaves a void, hindering both progress and the sense of a purposeful future. It's not about having a perfectly detailed plan, but about having a general direction and aspirations that provide a sense of meaning and purpose.

Why do you think Superman has his fortress of Solitude.
In our hyper-connected world, the ability to be alone, truly alone, and thrive in that space is a superpower.Think about it: when you're alone, free from the demands of external input, you create the space for profound self-discovery. You tap into your creativity, you become more in tune with your emotions, and develop superior self-regulation skills. It’s where breakthroughs happen, not in a crowded room.many people mistake solitude for loneliness. Loneliness is an emotional state of feeling isolated and disconnected despite being surrounded by people. Solitude, on the other hand, is a conscious choice. It's carving out intentional time for self-reflection, self-care, and self-renewal. It’s about choosing to connect with yourself first. This isn't anti-social; it's self-prioritization. The healthier your relationship with yourself is, will allow for higher quality external relationships.Even 15 minutes of intentional solitude a day—reading, meditating, working out, just being present with yourself—can make a huge difference. “I used to think online gaming was a waste of time but I gave it a try and I love it! It’s a great source to emotionally let go and enter a universe of imagination whilst still being by myself.” Let your solitude be a source of strength. The more comfortable you become with your own company, the more fulfilled you'll become in all areas of your life.

Emotional Triggers
Once you identify your triggers, you can start to understand their root cause—past experiences, unmet needs, or ingrained beliefs. This awareness allows you to communicate your needs and to develop coping strategies for managing difficult moments in the relationship rather than reacting impulsively. For example, if criticism triggers feelings of inadequacy, you can work on building self-esteem and learning to respond constructively to feedback instead of becoming defensive.
