Monday Mornin'

A lot of the times, we will be very cautious of what we are saying because we don't want to hurt someones feelings. I have found myself guilty of this when it comes to professing my faith. Our God deserves to be talked about and praised!! He is an Almighty God and we should want everyone possible to know about Him and what He's done!! Let's make it our goal to not be afraid to talk about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Wouldn't you rather offend somebody towards heaven than affirm them towards hell?

God puts people in our lives for a reason! It's easy to overlook that, and take it for granted. Every single person that is a part of your life is there because they were hand picked by God to be there. That doesn't mean they'll be there forever, but they may be. Join us this week as we talk about how who you surround yourself with is so important!! Those are the people that are going to motivate you, celebrate you and pick you up when you fall. Take a second and thank God for your people today!

At some point throughout our lives, we will all experience the pain of disappointment. This week we talk all about finding comfort in knowing, Jesus disappointed people too!

Being obedient to God and what He's called us to do is not an easy task. Obedience takes effort, determination, sacrifice, love and most importantly, TRUST!! Obedience and trust run hand in hand. You can't have one without the other. This week let's focus on trusting the Lord and the plan He has for our life!! Let's be a reflection of who Jesus is and obey what He has called us to do! No matter what season you're facing, He will NOT fail!!! There is a purpose for the pain, just let Him work on HIS time!!

When we think of God's blessings, we often think that they should look perfect! If your life looks perfect, then you are so blessed! WRONG!!! Gods definition of perfection is much different than ours. Sometimes blessings come in the form of a mess! Join us this week as we continue our conversation on being a Control Freak!

Last weeks conversation just stuckkkk with us. This bible study that we are doing is POWERFUL!!! We are going to let this fuel our conversations over the next few weeks and we would love if you all wanted to follow along with us! This week we are continuing to talk about how we try to control things in our lives that are only in Gods control! Sometimes we get so caught up in focusing on things that God hasn't even asked us to do/carry, that we aren't focusing on the things he HAS asked us to do. Let's let go of some things this week and hand some of that control over to Him!!!! The bible study we are doing is called "It's All Under Control" by Jennifer Dukes Lee.

We are all guilty of being a control freak in some form or fashion, am I right?? Well, this weeks convo was CONVICTING!!!! There are so many situations we go through that we feel like we don't hear God, or that he's absent. Join us in this episode as we realize that He's not absent, He's just not telling us what we want to hear, so we (sometimes unknowingly) CHOOSE not to hear Him!! It is time for us to put our full trust in God and His plan for our life, but in order to do that, we have to let go of the control!! The only person who needs to be a control freak is God! This week lets LET GO and LET GOD!!!

That is something that is so hard to learn and understand when it comes to our spiritual life. We can't serve both. We can't live in Christ AND in the world. There is going to be phases of life where we do that subconsciously, but this is our reminder to be more aware of not only how we are living, but WHO we are living for! Let's live life for the Lord, not the world!!!

I think we can all agree that parenthood is one of the hardest, yet most rewarding jobs on the face of the earth. Parenting is often so hard and confusing because there are so many outside influences, the biggest one being the Devil. Whether it's him telling you that you could've done better, or you're not good enough, or comparing yourself to other parents. Something that brings us so much peace is knowing that our babies are a true gift from the Lord and He is with us in every single step of parenthood! Motivation is something that drives us to get a task done. Some people may think that it's embarrassing to admit that sometimes we need a little bit of motivation to get in Gods word, but it's not!! We're human, and sometimes that motivation runs a little low! In this episode we talk about things that reignite our spark to dive into Gods word! If anyone has done 75 Hard, you know that it requires a LOT of discipline. Raley claims that it jump started a whole new lifestyle for her. It really taught her how to prioritize her time. After talking about it, we got to thinking. Why don't we have that discipline when it comes to our Jesus!? Imagine the relationship we could have with Him if we prioritized our time with Him!! Let's prioritize our spiritual health just like we do our physical and mental health!!

Are you in a time of silence? Or a time of devastation? Let this holiday always be a reminder that your Sunday IS coming!!! The day that Jesus Christ was crucified was the most devastating day in history, but just 2 days after that was the most JOYOUS day in history!!!! Our God is alive, faithful and chasing after YOU!! On todays episode we are talking about social media and the affects that it has on our world today. While social media is wildly popular these days, we talk a little deeper about how it could be one of the greatest tools in our spiritual walk, or possibly one of the worst.

Who else is guilty of being a perfectionist in some way, shape or form?! I think we allll have something that sends us over the edge if it isn't perfect. Whether it be your house, car, plans you had, etc. We all strive to be as perfect as possible in some area of our lives. Well, news flash, you're actually not perfect!! And that's OKAY!!!!! Join us this week as we talk about how we aren't perfect, but that's okay because that's exactly how God created us! Let's start accepting our "imperfections" and use them to better ourselves and shine God's light!!

How often do you have a dream or goal in mind, but automatically feel like you can't do it? Or how often do you feel like you're not good enough for someone/something? Join us this week as we talk about how we disqualify ourselves before we even give ourselves the chance to do something! We are standing in our own way, and so often don't even realize it. We assume that we aren't qualified right off the bat. Remember, God doesn't call the qualified; He qualifies the called!! He will qualify you for whatever you're facing!!!!

Have y'all ever stopped and truly thought about the power behind prayer? Most people would say yes because it's pretty well known that prayers are powerful. But, prayers aren't just powerful in a sense of healing the sick. Though that is an absolute miracle, prayers are so powerful in so many different ways. If you truly think about the depth of prayer, it is absolutely mind blowing. When we pray, we open a direct line of communication with God and bring just a little bit of Heaven on earth!!! How powerful is that!? To literally be able to bring a piece of Heaven to earth. Join us in this episode as we talk about taking advantage of the power of prayer!!

We are all guilty of being people pleasers at some point or another. Nothing to be ashamed of! Trust me, we get it! We're only human. Join us as we talk about how sometimes being a people pleaser can stand in the way of us getting closer to Jesus! Sometimes the enemy tries to keep us silent in order to keep us from fulfilling Gods purpose for our lives. Have you ever wanted to lift your hands so high during worship at church, but are too embarrassed? Join the club!!! From now on, we are striving to be Jesus pleasers, NOT people pleasers!!!

Often times whenever someone really starts to dive into their faith and their relationship with God, it can look so easy and seamless from the outside. When you're on the inside of that scenario, it can look a little different. When you dive deeper into your faith, and start living a life to follow God, it's not always sunshine and rainbows! Trust me, we get it!! Whether it be a relationship, friendship, job, etc., things start to look a little different because your mindset and the way you live your life is changing! That relationship may not jive like it used to, and that hurts! This week we just want to talk about normalizing those pains and making them POSITIVE! Sometimes Faith has growing pains, and that's okay!!!!

The name Oh Honey will always hold a special place in our hearts, because that's how it all started, butttt this name change is going to be so good for the soul!! New year, new goals, new name, and a stronger FAITH!! We are so excited to hang out with y'all on Monday Mornin's! Our episodes will now be airing every Monday at 9am CST! This past week Raley and I have spent a lot of time reflecting on this past year. It may not seem like much, but we have truly grown so much just since starting this podcast. In the beginning we were so nervous to take on this new adventure and follow Gods voice, but we are SO glad we did!! Your support has kept us going! We hope that as we continue this podcast that you all know that you have a friend in us. While reflecting on our journey thus far, we realized we never really let you all get to know us! Sooo, this weeks episode is definitely a throwback, LOL. Watch one of our very first episodes we ever recorded, but never aired! Whenever the New Year rolls around, most people decide that they are going to focus on their physical health in the upcoming year. Well, this year we are not only going to work on our physical health, but our SPIRITUAL health!! Sometimes our spiritual health tends to get pushed aside as we focus on other things. Not this year! In this episode we talk about a few things we are going to do to improve our spiritual health in 2024, and just how good our God is. He is creating miracles every single day that we don't even realize. Reflect with us on some of the miracles that may get overlooked so we can start to give our God the praise and glory He deserves!! Christmas is our favorite time of year! This week we talk about some of our favorite Christmas traditions as a child, and our favorite traditions as adults! It is so easy to overlook the true meaning of this season, so this year lets remember that because of our Lord and Savior, we get to celebrate CHRISTmas! Take a moment this weekend and remember just how blessed you truly are. Our God is good ALL of the time!! Merry Christmas!!!!

As we get older, we start to notice just how much we have changed over the years. Whether that be our interests, personality, or habits, they are probably a lot different from when we were younger. In this episode we reflect on how much we have changed as we've gotten older, and some of the things we have learned along the way. If you could go back and talk to your younger self, what is one piece of advice you would give?

The Christmas season has us wanting to take a trip down memory lane! In this episode we talk about some of our best and funniest memories from our childhood. We hope this brings you joy and helps you reflect on some of your favorite memories growing up!

Everyone knows that our hearts are a vital part of our physical well being, but it is also so crucial for our emotional well being. What we let into our hearts is what is going to flow from it. It is so important for us to be very cautious of what we are letting into our hearts. Fill it with positivity and love so those are the things flowing from YOU! We hope everyone had the happiest Thanksgiving! We are so thankful for you all and your support. We love you so much, but don't forget that Jesus loves you more! :)

The Devil will always try to chain you to your choices. Don't let him!!! It is so important for us to live a life to Follow God and know that Jesus loves us so much and died for our sins! Whatever it is that you are holding onto, know that Jesus has already forgiven it. Let that be motivation to follow Him even closer!

In sports you spend all week practicing for game day. In school, you spend time studying before a test. You do these things so you are prepared for that certain day! Apply this to your faith and continue to practice so you can be prepared for the blessings God has for you!

Are you walking by faith or feedback? It's easy for us to say that we are walking by faith, when we are receiving positive feedback from others. What is truly guiding your walk with Christ? Faith in Him or feedback from others?

No matter what season you are going through, we hope that this brings you a laugh! Find joy in the little things, laugh, and love this life that Jesus has given us! Choose to see God in the season you are facing. He has blessed us beyond words! Always remember, Jesus loves you (and so do Dwayne and Joe) :)

Sometimes when we are waiting, that's all we do is wait. When we just wait, we can get aggravated, tired, and annoyed by the waiting. Don't waste the waiting! Instead, prepare while you wait!! You may be in a season of waiting because God is trying to prepare you for the blessing He is about to give you! Be proactive and help God prepare you for what's to come!

"But there are some things that you cannot be sure of. You must take a chance. If you wait for perfect weather, you will never plant your seeds. If you are afraid that every cloud will bring rain, you will never harvest your crops." Ecclesiastes 11:4

Not everything in life has to be so serious! We can see Jesus even in the fun, laid back stuff we do! I think we all know that celebrities have a really big impact on their fans. It is a breath of fresh air when we see celebs talking about how much they love God, praying, and using their platform to spread the love of Jesus!!

A lot of us tend to overlook just how important our friends are. The gift of friendship is a role that we should take seriously! We are all going to fall at some point in our lives, but our friends determine how far we fall. In Mark 2, Jesus healed a paralyzed man because of his friends' faith. This is why our circle matters!!

It's so easy to get caught up in worldly satisfaction, that we overlook spiritual satisfaction. This week we are talking about the importance of living a life according to God's word!!

It is so hard to be patient when everything is right at your fingertips. Sometimes we feel like God isn't moving or working in our lives, when really He is just telling us to slow down and be patient! He will make it happen when the time is right!!

Many of us struggle to figure out what Gods calling is for our life. Naturally, we overcomplicate it so much! This week we are going to talk about exactly what God calls each of us to do in this life!!

Comparison is one of the Devil's greatest weapons.. This week we will talk about how he uses it against us, and how to be grateful for everything God has given us!!!

I think we can all agree that it is so hard to love yourself sometimes. This week we are going to talk about why you should love yourself ALL of the time, and some things that have helped us learn to love ourselves!
