On June 22, we gathered around Matthew 28:16-20, Jesus' Great Commission. We also talked about Genesis 12:1-4, focusing on the common theme of the call to go and its implications for today. www.newhopechattanooga.org

On June 8, we looked through James 2 to discuss a life of ministry and the call of Christ to all people. www.newhopechattanooga.org

On May 25, we focused on Ephesians 4 and talked about the importance of true fellowship in the life of the church. www.newhopechattanooga.org

On May 18, 2014, we continued exploring Rick Warren's Purpose-Driven Life. We focused on worship, reading Romans 12:1-8. www.newhopechattanooga.org

On May 11, we began a 6 week series on Rick Warren's Purpose Driven Life. We talked about our purpose, using Psalm 139 to help understand God's deep love for us. www.newhopechattanooga.org

On May 4, we tried to gather all of Acts 19 under one theme, focusing on how God's Word calls us out into the world and encourages us to endure through opposition. www.newhopechattanooga.org

On April 27, Rev. Keith Jones preached about evangelism, using Acts 17:16-34 to guide the sermon. www.newhopechattanooga.org

On Easter, we read the marvelous story of Jesus' resurrection from Matthew 28:1-10 and talked about the call to come and see, to go and tell, and to be not afraid! www.newhopechattanooga.org

On Palm Sunday, Rev. Keith W. Jones read from Mark 11:1-11 and talked about expectations. The sermon talked about the Jewish expectations of the Messiah and talked about our own expectations. If we expect happiness, health and wealth from Jesus, then suffering will leave us disappointed in Jesus. Our theology needs to be robust and our expectations correct, so that we have a proper view of the Lordship of Jesus Christ and his kingdom.

On April 6, we focused on Acts 16:16-40, the story of Paul & Silas being delivered from prison. We talked about the tremendous love and power of God, and we talked about how being free from anxiety and worry frees us to serve others. www.newhopechattanooga.org

On March 30, 2014, Rev Keith Jones focused on Acts 14:8-20, the story of Paul and Barnabas in Lystra, where Paul was nearly stoned to death. Rev. Jones talked about the importance of turning to Christ alone for satisfaction, for the crowds can be fickle if we seek their adoration. www.newhopechattanooga.org

On March 23, the focus of the sermon was Acts 12:6-19, the story of Peter's deliverance from prison. Rev. Keith Jones focused on our common need for a deliverer and the reality that Christ is stronger than any forces, including sin and death, that try and imprison us. www.newhopechattanooga.org

On March 16, we dived into Acts 10, the story of Peter and Cornelius. We talked about how fundamentally the mission of the church shifted to reach out to the gentiles, and about how we need to make room for God to call us anew each day. www.newhopechattanooga.org

On March 9, we focused on Acts 9:1-22, the story of Saul's conversion. We talked about how God worked in the lives of both Ananias & Saul, and how important both of their stories are to the Christian community. www.newhopechattanooga.org

On March 2, Rev. Keith Jones focused on Acts 8:26-40, the story of Philip and the Ethiopian eunuch. We talked about how God is calling us to look beyond the boundaries and to be uncomfortable for the sake of growth in Christ. www.newhopechattanooga.org

On February 23, the story of Stephen in Acts 6-7 was our central text. We discussed the reality of evil alive and at work in the world, using the text from Revelation 12 as a helpful way to understand the opposition to the church and those who are faithful to the name of Jesus Christ. www.newhopechattanooga.org

On February 16, we gathered around Acts 6:1-7 and focused on the importance of keeping the Gospel central in our day to day lives. www.newhopechattanooga.org

On February 9, we read the tale of Ananias & Sapphira in Acts 5:1-11. We talked about the power and importance of community, and how the church needs people committed to its mission and willing to trust one another. www.newhopechattanooga.org

On February 2, we continued our journey through Acts, studying Peter's healing of the blind beggar in Acts 3-4. We talked about the importance of reaching out and reaching down to spread the selfless love of Christ. www.newhopechattanooga.org
