Jesus had performed miracles to fulfill Old Testament scripture, and in Mark 15:1-20, they think the only thing left for Him to do was enter Jerusalem and reestablish the nation of Israel. But Jesus was mocked, beaten, and killed, and He submitted Himself to it to gather us into eternity with Him. Sin mocks us and scourges our hearts, but Jesus offers grace and healing.Your King endured accusation. (v1-5)Your King endured injustice. (v6-14)Your King endured shame. (v15-20)

Job 4:1-5:27 | 3/22/2026Bad guidance comes from misunderstanding why God blesses you. (v4:1-11) Bad guidance comes from misunderstanding how a man can be right before God. (v4:12-5:7)Bad guidance comes from misunderstanding why we fear God. (v5:8-27)

As Job begins to endure the suffering of His loss, he struggles with the darkness he feels. On this snowy Sunday, Pastor Ben teaches us that loss and pain pull us away from God's love and community. But healing comes as the family of God gathers. Darkness can lead you to light and life, and you can find rest in Him.We will struggle with the darkness we feel. (v1-11)We will be tempted to question our existence. (v11-20)We will feel trapped and long for relief. (v20-26)

This week, Pastor Ben prepares us to suffer well from Job's experience in Job 1:1 - 2:13. Equip yourself for any suffering. Let your heart and mind bring glory to Jesus.Is God good when He blesses the righteous? (v1:1 - 22)Is God good when He allows the righteous to suffer? (v2:1 - 8)Learning God's perspective will require trust. (v2:9-13)

John 21:15-25Following Jesus involves restoration in His love. (v15-17)Following Jesus involves committment to His calling. (v18-19)Following Jesus involves trusting His sovereign will. (v20-25)

This Sunday, we hear from two members of our congregation who have returned from international mission trips recently, Molly Wilson and Ashley Clauson, plus a message from Allen Miller with Gideons International. Molly tells about her time in Ethiopia as well as her experience at Northridge since she started coming last June, and Ashley discusses her time in Hawaii and Fiji with YWAM.

This week, Pastor Ben continues preaching the Upper Room Discourse in John 16:16-33. Jesus understands how the disciples are struggling to understand His message, and He knows how to help them. Yet they won't truly understand how their sorrow in His death will turn to permanent joy until He rises from the dead. Just like the disciples, the peace and rest we need is only found in Him.Jesus provides a path to unexpected joy. (v16-22)Jesus provides a path to God's will. (v23-28)Jesus provides a path to permanent peace. (v29-33)

As Jesus prepared His disciples for life without His bodily presence, He promised that deeper understanding would be revealed through His Spirit. In John 16:4b-15, we learn that the Holy Spirit will guide us into God's plan as we abide in Him.Jesus sends the Holy Spirit for our good. (v4b-7)The Holy Spirit will convict the world. (v8-11)The Holy Spirit will guide disciples. (v12-13)The Holy Spirit will glorify Jesus. (v14-15)

Something in us resists asking for help. In times of persecution, we need to lean on our community. The sacrificial love we demonstrate to one another will bear eternal fruit. In John 15:18-16:4a, Jesus prepares His disciples to endure persecution in His absence. His Spirit of Truth will sustain us.Prepare for a negative reaction to Jesus. (v18-21)Prepare for a rejection of the truth. (v22-25)Prepare for the help of the Holy Spirit. (v15:26-16:4a)

John 1:19-34

As Jesus is preparing His disciples for his absence in John 15:9-17, He teaches them that the key to abiding in His love comes when we love Him and we love others. By abiding, we are loved, healed, and freed from our past hurts to love others the way Jesus would love them.Abiding requires the Love of Christ. (v9)Abiding requires obedience to Christ. (v10-12)Abiding requires following the example of Christ. (v13-17)

As we begin the new year, we may be wise to evaluate our commitments and notice the ways we are abiding in Jesus, as well as the ways that we may have been pruned in the last year. Those in Christ have been washed clean. As we begin to bear fruit in Christ, we will see the ways that Jesus cuts away the places in our lives that aren't bearing fruit. Trust him as He prunes your heart.Abiding is His plan for you. (v1-3)Abiding is only experienced in the Vine. (v4-7)Abiding brings glory to God. (v12-13)

This week Pastor Ben continues our series in John 14:15-31, when Jesus promises that the Holy Spirit will be coming as Jesus's Earthly ministry is concluding. His promise is the same to us. The Holy Spirit empowers us to live lives devoted to Him.The Holy Spirit is our Helper.We have new life through Jesus.Those who love God will live differently.

God has always been concerned with your heart. We who have accepted the free gift of God's grace through Christ's sacrifice are healed, cleansed, and given new spiritual life. But those who do not know the Light flee from it, to their detriment. Let the inevitability and urgency of Hell lead us to witness to the good news of Jesus.God reveals His message. (v6-8)God gives the opportunity to decide. (v9-11)God provides new life as His child through belief. (v12-13)

If we don't understand how the love of God changes things, we won't see the situations that we find ourselves in correctly. In Philipians 4:4-7, Paul exhorts his readers to rejoice in everything, even while he remains imprisoned. What sort of turmoil are you facing? How do you endure?Rejoicing leads to a heart at peace. (v4)Gentleness leads to a heart at peace. (v5)Prayer leads to a heart at peace. (v6-7)

This Sunday before Thanksgiving, Pastor Ben takes us through Psalm 136 to show us what can motivate us to give thanks. How can the love of God be in the forefront of our Thanksgiving celebrations?Recognize the goodness of God in creation. (v1-9)Recognize the rescue of God in salvation. (v10-16)Recognize the provision of God in an inheritance. (v17-28)Recognize the deliverance of God in redemption. (v26-26)

In John 14:1-14, Jesus gives us promises about life after death that inform our mission here in this life. You have been given a Commission that you were created for, and you are never alone. All the seeds planted in your life have prepared you for Christ's mission.Jesus secures our residence. (v1-4)Jesus secures our relationship. (v5-11)Jesus secures our commission. (v12-14)

John 13:31-38Jesus prepares us to recognize His glory.Jesus prepares us to share His love.Jesus prepares us to live in His kindness.

As Jesus shares the Passover supper with His disciples, He faces the one that He knows will betray Him in a matter of hours (John 13:18-30). Yet He did not accuse or reject Judas; rather, He loved him to the end. Jesus is love, and all we have to do is confess our sins, turn from them, and receive Him. But we have to make that decision for ourselves.Jesus calls us to receive Him. (v18-20)Jesus leads us with love. (v21-26)Jesus lets us decide. (v27-30)

This week, Pastor Ben teaches us about service from Jesus's example in John 13:1-17 when He washed the feet of the disciples. Since He, as the greatest among us, became the least by serving His brothers, we can follow His example by selflessly serving our brothers and sisters in Christ. Let His love flow through you to the people around you!Jesus lived out the love of the servant. (v1-5)Jesus lived out the example of the servant. (v6-11)Jesus lived out the challenge of the servant. (v12-17)

Why would anyone reject the Gospel of Jesus? John 12:36-50 shows that, even when Jesus Himself was teaching and performing signs, many rejected His message. We may experience the same rejection as we testify to our friends and neighbors. Prepare to go to the places God is leading you Confess your sins, walk in His Spirit, and trust Him with the results.1. Unbelief is a predictable response. (v36-42)-Seek the glory that comes from God. (v43)2. Unbelief keeps you in the darkness. (v44-46)-Seek the Father through the Son.3. Unbelief has eternal consequences. (v47-49)-Share the message that leads to eternal life. (v50)

Why does God let such darkness consume the world? This week, Pastor Ben shows us how Jesus faced the most painful betrayal, torture, and death in history from John 12:12-36. In our own lives we face trials and pain, but when we don't understand why, we can trust that God does. God will honor our trust as we experience Him daily. Keep praying, let your faith build, and surrender to Him.God is glorified in His fulfilled promises. (v12-19)God is glorified in His timing. (v20-26)God is glorified in obedience. (v27-36)

John 12:1-11Martha offered a gift of service. (v1-2)Mary offered a gift of sacrifice. (v3-8)Lazarus offered a gift of testimony. (v9-11)

This week, Pastor Ben teaches us how the Jews responded to Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead in John 11:45-57. The world is a hostile place today for those who tell the truth, just as it was in Jesus's time. As we mourn Charlie Kirk's death, we ought to seek the same legacy he did, as he recently stated, "I want to be remembered for courage for my faith." How will Jesus's message affect you? Where will you share the truth?Some will respond with belief. (v45)Some will respond with violence. (v46-53)Some will respond with curiosity. (v54-57)

As we continue reading John, Pastor Ben walks us through Jesus's assurances to His flock through His discussion with disbelieving Pharisees in John 10:22-42. True belief in Jesus will result in life change in the power of God. Allow God to build your courage. Step forward boldly; we have been given His authority.True believers experience assurance of Christ's eternal protection. (v22-30)True believers experience assurance of Christ's authority. (v31-39)True believers experience assurance of Christ's ongoing ministry. (v40-42)

"The Good Shepherd gathers His sheep because He alone can save them." Jesus, in another "I Am" statement in the Gospel of John, teaches us that He saves and cares for us as we follow Him like sheep. Listen as Pastor Ben takes us through John 10:1-21.The Good Shepherd leads the sheep. (v1-6)The Good Shepherd serves the sheep. (v7-13)The Good Shepherd gathers the sheep. (v14-21)

This week Pastor Ben discusses Jesus's healing of a man born blind and the effects of the testimony of the healed man (John 9:1-41). God redeems our stories. He is with us on the mountaintops and in the valleys, and through it all, His glory shines through. We are made to testify to this.The light of Jesus creates upheaval. (v1-12)The light of Jesus works through confusion (v13-17), fear (v18-23), and ignorance (v23-34).The light of Jesus brings eternal healing. (v35-41)

Pastor Ben | John 8:31-59

Pastor Nate teaches on Jesus's declarations at the Feast of Booths in John 8:12-30. The festival was also a celebration of lights for the Jews, and the many torches lighting up the night would have been a striking metaphor for the light that Jesus brings to the lives of those who invite Him in.Jesus claim: "I am the light of the world."Pharisee response: disbelief.Jesus claim: "I am the Son of Man."The people's response: many believed.

This week, Pastor Burke Perry visits to continue our series on Jesus's life in the Gospel of John. In chapter 8:1-11, Jesus is confronted by the Pharisees with a woman who had been caught in adultery. We can learn a great deal from His response. As Jesus treated the woman with compassion, He gained the right to tell her to change. As we treat others well, we can become participants in the redemption of those around us.You can be right and still be wrong.Jesus wasn't in the business of condemnation, but redemption.God doesn't need us to defend Him. He wants us to represent Him.We have a real enemy, but it's not each other.

This week, Pastor Ben teaches from John 7:1-52 about Jesus at the Festival of Booths, where He taught the people to come to Him for the water of salvation, in order to receive the Holy Spirit. Psalm 81

Psalm 77 describes a serious struggle with real grief. How do we react when we don't hear God in our lament? Where does our grief lead us?This week, Pastor Ben encourages us to cry aloud to God in our times of pain and difficulty. God will lead us through doubt, sorrow, suffering, and uncertainty to bring us to faith.Lament must lead us to pray. God hears our lament. (v1-3)Lament must lead us to wait. God knows our situation. (v4-9)Lament must lead us to remember what God has done. God determines our steps. (v10-20)

"Give thanks for God's patience, kindness, judgement, equity, and sovereignty." This week, Pastor Ben teaches about how we as Christians can view God's judgement as Asaph did in Psalm 75.Christ followers can give thanks for God's judgement. (v1-3)Christ followers can testify about God's judgment. (v4-7)Christ followers can experience fulfillment in God's judgement. (v8-10)

Today we hear about the ways God has been working through the the Limitless Surrender study group. As we surrender our lives and desires to Jesus, he allows us to live lives which are truly limitless.

Pastor Nate teaches us five different attitudes of prayer that are found in Psalm 74. King Asaph is in crisis as his people are taken into Babylonian captivity due to their rebellion, and he writes these prayers:A prayer of desperation. (v1-3)A prayer of lamentation. (v4-9)A prayer of retribution. (v10-11)A prayer of magnification. (v12-17)A prayer of restoration. (v18-23)

In John 6:41-71, Jesus speaks in a way that His listeners don't understand. Pastor Ben teaches us that we can lean into the scriptures that we don't understand and trust that the Spirit will bring clarity. As we eat the Bread of Life and abide in Him, we begin to find nourishment and clarity that we can't know otherwise. The Bread of Life connects you to the Father. (v41-51)The Bread of Life connects you to the Son. (v52-59)The Bread of Life connects you to the Spirit. (v60-71)

This week, Pastor Ben teaches from John 6:22-40 that Jesus is able to satisfy our spiritual hunger for peace in this life as well as eternal peace. What is going on in your life that makes you aware of your spiritual hunger?Only Jesus can help you understand your true need. (v22-29)Only Jesus can meet your need for the Bread of Life. (v30-35)Only Jesus can meet your need to live in God's will. (v36-40)

"There is no better way to be prepared for the impossible than with Jesus." Pastor Ben teaches us that we can turn to Jesus in impossible situations and find hope, just as the disciples did in John 6:1-21.We can trust Jesus to provide. (v1-13)We can trust Jesus to deliver. (v16-21)We can trust Jesus's plan. (v14-15)

We can have certainty in Jesus as our Savior from the evidence he gave to the religious leaders in John 5:31-47.John the Baptist bore witness. (v31-35)The miracles bore witness. (v36-38)The scriptures bear witness. (v39-47)

Happy Resurrection Sunday! We can see in John 20:1-18 how Jesus led Mary Magdalene and the disciples in their time of sadness and fear after His death. Just as Jesus called Mary by name and she knew His voice, Jesus is calling us each by name today. Will you hear His voice and follow?We must see what God has done. (v1-7)We must believe the scripture fulfilled. (v8-14)We experience life with the resurrected Son of God. (v15-20)

Jesus's kingdom is not of this world, but it is being established right now in you and me. If He is calling you to believe in Him, surrender to Him fully. On this Palm Sunday, Pastor Ben points us toward Jesus's attitude toward earthly authority in John 18:28-19:16 and shows us how that attitude reveals His heavenly kingship.Jesus's humility reveals His kingship. (ch 18:28-32)Jesus's meekness reveals His kingship. (ch 18:33-40)Jesus's submission reveals His kingship. (ch 19:1-16)

This week, Pastor Ben teaches us how Jesus uses our own weaknesses to show us our need for a savior, as He did for Peter in John 18:12-27. Even in the midst of our failure, He still looks at us not with anger or disappointment, but with love.Jesus accepted the cup of suffering while we avoid it. (v12-16)Jesus protected us when we didn't know we needed it. (v17-23)Jesus endured the persecution that we could not. (v24-27)
