One Sheep Podcast

This Podcast was started from the insistence of the Holy Spirit. The mission of this Podcast is to share the Gospel and Make Disciples. Some of the early episodes dealt with my personal supernatural encounters. Moving forward, the Holy Spirit wants me to waste no more time entertaining people's curiosity of the supernatural. Just as it says in Luke 16:31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead. I hope, and I pray that these podcast sermons, regardless of their length, persuade you to hear and accept the Gospel. Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. <a href="htt

Love Thy Neighbor As Thy Self

TEXT ME TO INTERACT HERR AT OUR FAN MAIL“Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.” Matthew 22: 34-40, Luke 10:25-29We read in Matthew 22 verse 34 -4034But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together. 35Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, 36Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38This is the first and great commandment. 39And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. In Luke 10: 25-29 we read something similar with a justification question at the end of it.25And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? 26He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou? 27And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. 28And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live. 29But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour? ----------------------When the lawyer asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”, our Lord answered with a story.A man was traveling from Jerusalem down to Jericho when he fell among thieves. They stripped him of his clothing, wounded him, and left him half dead by the roadside.A priest came along and saw the man—but passed by on the other side. Then a Levite came, looked at him—and he too passed by.But then a Samaritan came that way. When he saw the wounded man, he had compassion. He bound up his wounds, poured oil and wine into them, set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and cared for him. The next day he even paid the innkeeper and promised to repay any additional cost. Then Jesus asked the lawyer,“Which of these three was neighbor to the man who fell among thieves?”And the answer was clear: “He that showed mercy on him.”Now this story would have shocked the people who first heard it.Because the Jews and the Samaritans despised one another. They avoided each other and had no dealings together. We even hear this from the mouth of a Samaritan herself. When Jesus spoke to the Samaritan woman at the well, she said:“How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? For the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.”Yet Jesus spoke with her, showed her mercy, and revealed her life so clearly that she ran back to the city and testified:“Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did.”So in Christ’s story, the man who proved to be a neighbor was not the religious leader. It was the man everyone expected to be the enemy. And with that, Jesus gave this command:“Go, and do thou likewise.”Which brings us to our first question today:Who is my neighbor? You know many Christians today think every sermon must repeat the same doctrines over and over again. But if you read the Gospels carefully, you will notice something surprising. Jesus often preached about how we treat other people.Yes, He spoke about salvation.Yes, He revealed the grace of God.But again and again He addressed the moral life—how people live toward one another. And one of the clearest commands He gave is this:“You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”Today we will consider three simple questions and one observation:1.Who i

    Eleventh Hour Repentance....

TEXT ME TO INTERACT HERR AT OUR FAN MAILEleventh Hour Repentance...Many People, whenever they hear of the conversion of the thief on the cross, remember that he was saved in the very last moment of his life, and they dwell upon that fact, and that alone. He has always been quoted as a case of salvation at the eleventh hour, and so, indeed, he is. In his case it is proven that as long as a man can repent he can obtain forgiveness. However, that is not everything which the story teaches us, and it would be a pity to look exclusively at one point, and thus to miss everything else—perhaps miss that which is more important. I have heard people say, “Well, you see, the thief was converted, but he was not baptized. He never went to communion, and never joined the church!” He could not do either, and that which God Himself renders impossible to us He does not demand of us. He was nailed to a cross, how could he be baptized? The thief first of all confessed the Lord Jesus Christ, and that is the very essence of baptism. He confessed Christ. Did he not acknowledge Him to his fellow thief, and all that were gathered around the cross who were within ear shot? Yet many cowardly people claim to be Christians, though they have never confessed Christ to a single person, and then they quote this poor thief as an excuse? Are they nailed to a cross? Are they dying in agony? No, and yet they talk as if they could claim an exemption from this thieves circumstance. The fact is, our Lord requires an open confession as well as a secret faith, and if you will not render it, there is no promise of salvation for you, but a threat of being denied at the last. The apostle puts it this way, “If thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” It is stated in another place this way—“He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved”—that is Christ’s way of making the confession of Him. If there be a true faith, there must be a declaration of it. If you are a candle, and God has lit you, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” You are required to do what you can do, to make as distinct and open an assertion of the Lord Jesus Christ as may be suitable in your present condition. I do not know what the unconverted thief had been blasphemously saying, but his partner in crime spoke very honestly to him. “Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.” In these last days Christians should not allow sin to go unrebuked, and yet a great many of you do. “Other men’s sins” make up a great deal of our personal guilt unless we rebuke them. This the Lord expects us to do. The dying thief did it, and far exceeded large numbers of those who hold their heads high in church. He also, made a full confession of his guilt. He said to him who was hanged with him, “Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? And we indeed justly.” Not many words, but what a world of meaning was in them—“we indeed justly.” “You and I are dying for our crimes,” he said, “and we deserve to die.” When a man is willing to confess that he deserves the wrath of God—that he deserves the suffering which his sin has brought upon him—there is evidence of sincerity in him. When all other voices were silent, one suffering thief spoke out, and said—“This man hath done nothing amiss.” See this man’s faith. He prays, and his prayer is directed to Jesus. “Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.” True faith is always a praying faith. Prayer is one of the surest tests of the new birth. In ad

One Prayer Does Not A Christian Make....

TEXT ME TO INTERACT HERR AT OUR FAN MAILPRAYEROne Prayer Does Not A Christian Make...You’ve heard it said a thousand times from the church pews to Instagram, and beyond. Just ask Jesus to come into your heart. Pray this one prayer, and then your magically saved...there is just one problem. This so called evangelism is found no where in the Bible, nor did Jesus’s disciples ever ask anyone to pray such a prayer...In Matthew 3:1 we read 1In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, 2And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. And Jesus said in Matthew 4:17 Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. He did not say to ask him into your heart. The apostles never said this either. The problem with this approach, is your preaching a false Gospel of Free Grace. Where you can be saved by a one time get out of jail free prayer...and then hurry off to that Super Bowl, or Taylor Swift Concert....worse than that, the fruit you were trying to bear did will not remain, and will remain unchanged, because the flesh is weak. The reason todays Churches look like the world, is because Pastors today care more about memberships, than souls. Member's may fill the collection plates on Sunday...but one prayer saves no one. The Spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. How do we overcome weak flesh? By praying and reading or being in the word daily. No one drifts into Holiness...it is only achieved by striving to be conformed into the image of Christ by the work of Daily Prayer, Bible reading, and listening to and being obedient to the guidance of the in dwelling Holy Spirit...We are told to pray without ceasing in 1 Thessalonians 5:17.Prayer is the breath of the born-again soul. Therefore, a Christian without prayer is a Christian without breath...In this episode of the One Sheep Podcast we are going to expose why the lack of prayer reveals a proud and self-serving heart, not to condemn you, but to awaken you, to call you back from serving yourself, to communion with the Lord. This message is not for the one who denies God with his lips. It is for you who praise him with your lips on Sunday, but ignore him with your life from Monday thru Saturday. You know when I was a younger man. I served in the Army. They had a training schedule for new recruits, and they do in the regular Army units too. It lays out your days activities. You Know...0530 wake up, 0600 first formation for accountability, and then Physical Training. Nice Frank, what does that have to do with the Christian life? I’m glad you asked. I mention this sliver of time in my life, because I have never been to a church that had a schedule for new disciples. Many preachers just tell you to read the Bible. Start with Mathew and read on from there. I think most people give up on reading their Bibles, when they get to the genealogies. Look, all I am saying is...Why not have them read the Epistles, Galatians, Corinthians, etc., to know what a new creation should strive to look, and act like? Prayer is talked about even less than Bible reading, and most Christians, do not pray, except in emergencies, over food, or if they really want something... Why would we not explain personal intimate prayer time to new Christians? You know, It is my sincerest hope that everyone who listens to this podcast gets something out of it that helps them to grow closer to GOD, and stay on the narrow path. Because, every day you fail to seek GOD in prayer, your actions speak louder than words.Your actions say, I can handle this on my own, I don't need you. This is basic atheism 101, atheist do not

Not All Yokes Are Created Equal...

TEXT ME TO INTERACT HERR AT OUR FAN MAILNot All Yokes Are Created EqualIn today's episode, we will examine the natural or literal sense of the word, yoke. Discover the yoke Jesus had referenced in his parable and why it worked so well as an illustration. All this and More coming up on the one sheep podcast...You Know in biblical times, the term yoke was a familiar term to most people. Mainly because most people were either farmers, fishermen, or shepherds. So what is a Yoke? Well, I'm glad you asked.A yoke is usually made of wood, hand-carved to fit the neck and shoulders of the animal to prevent pain or discomfort. Imagine just the top part of the Capital letter T, you then carve a half circle on both the left and right side of the the T Top and complete each half circle with a round little tree bent in the shape of a U, and connect it to the Stock or T Top after placing it around each animals neck. Thus keeping the two oxen together and forcing them to work in unison. This is the literal sense of the word Yoke.In ancient cultures, the word yoke was a term that was also used to describe submission. So when someone was described as being yoked to someone or something, it was communicating the idea that he or she was in submission to that person or thing. This would then be the natural term for yoke as it applied to people. So I guess you could say a Yoke has a dual purpose. Taming Oxen, and Taming men.A Yoke is used for taming the oxen and making them mild and gentle. The oxen could not be brought into obedience to their owner, nor to do the work which he has for them, without the yoke. It is difficult to subdue the stubbornness of some oxen with the yoke; but it would be impossible to do it without the yoke. A Yokes sole purpose is to join two oxen at the neck, and to keep them together in their work, so they draw jointly, in good order. If they were not bound together with the yoke, one would draw one way, and the other another way, and the field could not be ploughed; but when they draw together under the yoke, they mutually assist each other in opening up the soil. The yoke is of great help to the oxen in doing their master's work, after they have been accustomed with it. At first, it wounded them sorely, and they felt it heavy, painful, and very awkward: but it was their own resistance that caused the wounds and soreness from it, through their wriggling and kicking under it, "as a bullock unaccustomed with the yoke:" but the yoke is a profitable implement to the ox; when he has been exercised with it, they will bear it quietly, chewing the cud from morning till night; it feels both light and easy to him.The same can be said of the Yoke as it applies to peoples and parables..The term Yoke is found in the old testament to mean troubles, crosses, afflictions, etc. and probably that is the direct sense of the word; and if so, by bearing the yoke is meant, "enduring temptation," "humbling ourselves under the mighty hand of God," "to accept punishment." It is good to bear the yoke in this sense: it is to humble the proud spirit of man, to bring down his high looks; to accustom him with troubles, in order to stop his career in sin, to slacken his progress in the broad way, to mortify his corruptions, to tame his wild nature, and to teach him to be content with whatever God ordereth for him. This is more likely to be effected in youth, than after having been long accustomed with prosperity, and hardened in sin and ease. "The prosperity of fools shall destroy them." Prov. 1. 32. But some, in old age, shall reap the fruit of bearing the yoke in their youth, even the peaceable fruit of righteousness. Some are yoked to the power of sin. They are under its control. We read In GALATIAN 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us fr

    Why Do You Worry...

TEXT ME TO INTERACT HERR AT OUR FAN MAILWhy Do You Worry? If Your not a Christian right now please listen to the one sheep podcast episode: What Must I Do To Be Saved Straight From The Bible. You know one of the things I find most disturbing about Christianity today is the amount of worrying Christians do. Their lack of faith, their lack of obedience, and their desire for a political leader that could save them. They are like the early Christian church, they too were looking for a political figure to make Jerusalem... dare I say, great again? Recently, I joined a few Christian Facebook groups hoping to reach more people with the podcast and give them some inspiration and motivation to preach the Gospel.Unfortunately, It seems to be the same topics from group to group. Topics such as: If Jesus saved your life many times type amen, or If you type amen below this( insert praying hands picture) you will be blessed with many blessings tomorrow, this one kills me, if you don’t believe in the pre-trib rapture then you are not really saved, or the king James version Bible has been mistranslated, and lastly... what about the thief on the cross? All this and more coming up on The One Sheep Podcast. You know Christians today worry too much about things that do not matter two seconds after your heart stops beating. Instead of being obedient to the Holy Spirit, they get pulled in by the shiny swinging watch that says Facebook on it. It’s Swinging in front of their eyes, Satan is saying you're getting sleepy, and instead being about God's business, they go looking for a fight with another Christian about the timing of the Rapture. You do know the Apostles were all Jews, right? During that time many Jews were looking for a political leader to save them from the Roman empire. However, Jesus was never involved in Politics. He did not even care who the emperor was at the time. This was evident when the Pharisees tried to trap him by asking is it lawful to pay your taxes? 15Shall we give, or shall we not give? But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said unto them, Why tempt ye me? bring me a penny, that I may see it. 16And they brought it. And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? And they said unto him, Caesar's. 17And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marveled at him.My Point...He was not trying to make Jerusalem great again. He was about his father's business, and so should you and I be. If you do not know what is the will of the Father it is: The Great Commission Mark 16:19-2019Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.Let's break that down Barney Style.Preach the Gospel, make Disciples, and do whatsoever I have commanded you. You need to read your Bible and yield yourself up to the Holy Spirit. You cannot be fruitful without the Holy Spirit.Sadly, Some Christians within these Christian Facebook groups try to preach a false Gospel message like typing amen is somehow magical and changes lives. Some pretend to be scholars and say foolish things like The KJV Bible is mistranslated. I use a KJV and I will give you three reasons why. Number one: The KJ Bible was translated by 14 of the most educated men of King James’s time. These men were hand-picked because they spoke, and were fluent in two or more languages. In other words, they were all Valedictorians of their time. Today's modern Bibles stem from Alexandrian texts. Look up David W. Daniels and read his story

Is John Mac Arthur a Heretic?

TEXT ME TO INTERACT HERR AT OUR FAN MAILWelcome to the One Sheep Podcast, I’m Frank your host.In today’s episode, we examine what was said by Pastor John Mac Arthur. If you're not familiar with John Mac Arthur he is the head of a 12 million-dollar Mega Church called Grace To You. John has been featured on Larry King and countless other talk show programs for many years. The span of John’s ministry career has been spent on Biblical Exposition. To the extent that he even produced a John Mac Arthur Study Bible. It breaks my heart to do this episode as I used to enjoy John's expositions when I was deployed to Iraq, and hungry for spiritual food in the desert. I used to listen intently, So with a heavy Heart and a Biblical scalpel we will dissect what John Mac Arthur said and determine if John Mac Arthur is indeed a Heretic. All right let's get right into it.Let’s hear from John Mac Arthur in his own words...firstSo what did you hear? What are your thoughts on the matter?I do hope to open this Podcast up to open feedback on the Club House App. If you have something to say I would love to hear from you.So, let’s dive into some feedback on the web. Well, more specifically Grace To You’s blog.I was going to read you a blog post from someone else’s online commenting about this whole ordeal. As I was reading this gentlemen's post he came off as a bit of a fanboy. I felt as if his arguments defending John Mac Arthur were clouded by his adoration of the man and so I discarded his post. He tried to compare what John Mac Arthur said and what you just heard to the unforgivable sin of blaspheming the Holy Spirit. He tried to imply that taking the Mark of The Beast was not an unforgivable sin. He even went so far as to try to say you could get the mark but not worship the beast and be forgiven. I find that to be disingenuous. Simply because the Holy Spirit authored all the books of the Bible. So if an Angel says not to take the Mark, You can bet the Holy Spirit told him to say that...Let’s look at a rebuttal posted by Phil Johnson one of Grace To You’s fellow mega-church pastors.Wednesday, October 30, 2013Several years ago in a live Q&A session, someone asked John MacArthur if taking the mark of the Beast during the Great Tribulation would be an unpardonable sin. His answer, in short, was no. Though there is a stern warning against taking the mark of the Beast in Revelation 14, the sin is not categorically said to be unpardonable. (That would contradict Matthew 12:31.) The point of the severe language in Revelation 14 is to make clear what an utterly reprehensible sin it will be to swear an oath of willful loyalty to the Antichrist.Someone posted John MacArthur’s reply to that question on YouTube with a melodramatic one-word title in all caps: “OUTRAGE.” Gossip-mongers on the Internet got hold of it, apparently, and within days someone wrote to our ministry saying, “I saw pastor John on a YouTube video saying the way to be saved in the Tribulation is to take the mark of the Beast.”Well—no.If someone listens to Pastor MacArthur’s reply and imagines he was saying it’s no great sin to receive the mark of the Beast, listen again; that grossly twists what he actually said. The question is not (as one writer suggests) “How Far Can You Go and Still Be Able to Repent?” The point John MacArthur was making is about the extremes to which God’s grace will reach in order to seek and save a sinner.Yes, Revelation 14:9–11 says, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, he also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed in full strength in th

    THE SPY WHO LOVED ME?

TEXT ME TO INTERACT HERR AT OUR FAN MAILThe Spy Who Loved Me?In this episode, we will discover if it is wrong to worship and honor Christ secretly, without confessing belief in Him publicly? The answer to this question is simple, but difficult to accept. The Year was 1977, The Spy Who Loved Me is released, the tenth spy film in the James Bond series and the third to star Roger Moore as the fictional secret agent James Bond. The film co-stars Barbara Bach and Curd Jürgens and was directed by Lewis Gilbert, from a screenplay by Christopher Wood and Richard Maibaum. The film takes its title from Ian Fleming's 1962 novel The Spy Who Loved Me, the tenth book in the James Bond franchise, although it does not contain any elements of the novel's plot. The storyline involves a reclusive megalomaniac named Karl Stromberg, who plans to destroy the world and create a new civilization under the sea. Bond teams up with a Russian agent, Anya Amasova, to stop the plans, all the while being hunted by Stromberg’s powerful henchman, Jaws. The Film has an interesting enough title, is a highly entertaining action-packed flick, and sought after in TV guides around the world, and let us not forget, it is a favorite of my earthly father. My heavenly, father not so much, you see Jesus is not going to honor any secret Christians. Even though for many Christians, worldwide, this is a very serious decision. Many believers' lives, or the lives of their loved ones, are on the line the moment they confess Christ.

WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED? STRAIGHT FROM THE BIBLE...

TEXT ME TO INTERACT HERR AT OUR FAN MAIL“What must I do to be saved?” In this Podcast I will explain what a person really needs to know to become a Christian and be saved from his or her sins. This is life’s most important question. It is a question that has implications not only here and now but on into eternity. Long after you take your last breath, the answer to this question will still matter. Important as the question is, it is answered wrongly on a daily basis. There is no room for error on the question of our present discussion, because the difference between a wrong answer and right answer is the difference between heaven and hell. What we have to do is go to the Bible, the only source for the right answer to this question.

ABOUT THIS SHOW
