Return, Repair, and Rest with Jenn Lozano and Jacqueline Harper

In this episode, Jenn shares a message she gave at a recent women’s retreat about God’s invitation to experience His blessed life through Jesus. Every invitation calls for a response, and Jenn explores that response through three powerful “R’s”: Return, Repair, and Rest.Return reminds us that God is always pursuing us in love. It begins with recognizing our need for Him. Jenn and Jacqueline discuss the ways God draws us back to Himself, sometimes through dreams or interventions.Repair requires acknowledging what happened and then problem-solving about what to do differently. Jesus emphasized repentance, or metanoia, the Greek word for a transformed mind that leads to a changed action. Through Him, true repair and restoration are possible in our relationships with others and with the Lord.Rest invites us to live rooted, knowing that God’s love does not waiver. We can dwell in the Father's blessing—knowing that we are sons and daughters. Jesus himself rested and showed us that letting go of the 'to-do' list can sometimes be a path to provision. And for a little trivia fun: True or False — Matt Lozano is surprisingly handy with home improvements? Boldly Beloved: From Brokenness to Radical Love with Neal Lozano and Kim Zember

Join Neal Lozano in this powerful and deeply personal conversation as he speaks with Kim Zember, speaker, missionary, and author of Restless Heart: My Struggle with Life and Sexuality. Kim shares her powerful message about the greater love and freedom found in Jesus, which is the foundation of her ministry, Boldly Beloved.Kim describes the boldness of her ministry as coming from the radical love she is continually learning and receiving from God the Father. She explains that her ministry helps people move from feeling unloved to becoming "beloved" by God, emphasizing that the word beloved comes from two words: Be Loved. The heart of her message is to trust that God is good and ask Him for an encounter.During the discussion, Kim shares her personal struggles, wrestling with identity, sexuality, and brokenness. She highlights that the opposite of any sin is God, saying “Come as you are. Let Him encounter you, because when you meet a greater love, the lesser loves aren't as appealing.” Together, they unpack themes of shame, intimacy, spiritual healing, and the power of experiencing God personally, not just knowing about Him.Kim concludes by sharing about her mission work in Africa through Unforgotten Faces,  helping orphans and widows, and encourages listeners toward "Complete Victory" by trusting that God is not finished.Help us continue to bring you more episodes and donate hereSee our upcoming eventsSign up for new episode drop alertsSign up for our EnewsRelease: April 2026Music by Christian HarperProduction by Jacqueline Harper

That They May Be One: A Call to Unity with Matt and Jenn Lozano and Adriana Gonzalez

Join Matt and Jenn as they discuss the upcoming film,That They May Be One, with Heart of the Father board member Adriana Gonzales. The film — which features contributors like Francis Chan, Dr. Ralph Martin, Dr. Mary Healy, and our own Matt Lozano — examines Christian unity as an important pursuit and burden for the Church today. The discussion emphasizes that unity is not just an idea but an obedience we must live out, fulfilling the prayer of Jesus in John 17. The film explores the Holy Spirit’s work since 1901, demonstrating how historical outpourings, such as Azusa Street, broke down barriers, proving that God uses unity for His outpouring. Matt notes that when we recognize Christ as the head, we find our family in the body.Adriana also shares personal and practical suggestions for pursuing unity along with a 10-day prayer plan following the film's release that concludes on Pentecost 2026!That They May Be One will be released in theaters May 19 and 20. Renouncing Reiki: A Former Psychic Finds Freedom Through Unbound with Lisa Livezey and Meg Ethridge

What happens when someone deeply involved in psychic practices and Reiki realizes it isn’t bringing real healing? In this fascinating episode, Lisa sits down with ministry team member Meg Ethridge, a former psychic and Reiki master, who shares her journey out of the occult and into true freedom.Spurred by a sincere desire to help people coupled with intermittent psychic experiences, Meg opened a storefront offering occult services to clients. “I didn’t go looking for the occult, the occult found me,” she explains. But over time, she began to recognize that these practices were not helping people in the way she had hoped.Meg shares candidly what led her into the world of the occult, what brought her back to the church, and how she eventually was pointed towards Heart of the Father Ministries. Her story reaches a profound moment when she shares, "And by the time I got to the end of [the Unbound session], for the first time I felt the Holy Spirit literally come through the top of my head through my whole body.” In a culture where social media often glamorizes occult practices as sources of insight or empowerment, Meg’s story provides a powerful witness that real healing comes from one Source alone. If you’ve ever been curious about the reality behind psychic practices, or are searching for deeper spiritual healing, this episode is for you.Don’t miss this riveting conversation that proclaims the truth of God’s love, His mercy, and the freedom He longs to give.Help us continue to bring you more episodes and donate hereSee our upcoming eventsSign up for new episode drop alertsFind the trailer for That They May Be OneRelease: April 2026Music by Christian HarperProduction by Christian Harper

Personal Prayer Book Study Chapters 10 & 11:  From Encounter to Likeness

In this final episode of our book study, Jenn, Matt, and Lisa bring everything together by exploring two powerful themes: charismatic prayer and the ultimate call to become like Him. What does it really mean to pray in the Spirit, and how does that kind of prayer actually transform us?The three talk about how charismatic prayer isn’t just about emotional expression or spiritual gifts, but about surrender, intimacy, and allowing the Holy Spirit to shape us from within. As they reflect on the final chapter, we turn our attention to the deeper promise at the heart of the Christian life: that through grace, we are being conformed more and more into the likeness of Christ. This episode is both a conclusion and an invitation to continue seeking the Holy Spirit, to remain open in prayer, and to trust that God is faithfully at work in us.Because in the end, prayer isn’t just something we do… it’s how we become who we were made to be. Find Personal Prayer: A Guide to Receiving the Father’s LoveHelp us continue to bring you more episodes and donate hereSee our upcoming eventsSign up for new episode drop alertsRelease: April 2026Music by Christian HarperProduction by Christian Harper

Personal Prayer Book Study Chapters 6 & 7: Poverty and Liturgical Prayer

Jacqueline, Jenn, and Lisa continue our Open Doors podcast walk through Personal Prayer: A Guide for Receiving the Father’s Love. In Chapter 6, they discuss the honest, sometimes uncomfortable journey that exists within the human condition caused by original sin and one’s own limitations. They talk about the temptation to discouragement, the “pit of desolation,” and how the Five Keys of Unbound help remove barriers that keep us from experiencing the Father’s love. Jacqueline shares how God met her in a very dark season and later used that experience to help her accompany others in their dark place. Jenn reflects on Jesus’ tender encounter with the apostle Peter by the fire on the shore of the Sea of Tiberias and how the Lord approaches each of us with the same mercy. The three explore St. Thérèse’s Little Way as an invitation to bow low, surrender, and embrace our littleness, as opposed to just “trying harder.” Under Chapter 7, they discuss the beauty and stability of liturgical prayer, which the authors describe as “Heaven on Earth,” and how it can be a call to enter, respond, and participate.Find the Lenten Study Reading ScheduleHelp Us Make Room for One More and donate hereSee our upcoming eventsSign up for new episode drop alertsRelease: March 2026Music by Christian HarperProduction by Christian Harper

Personal Prayer Book Study Chapters 4 & 5: Loving Faith & A Hidden God

In this episode Jacqueline, Jenn, and Lisa cover Chapters 4 and 5 of our Lenten study of  Personal Prayer: A Guide for Receiving the Father’s Love. These three examine the depths of loving God by touching on themes like surrender, self-absorption, suffering, and praying to a hidden God. The Lord is always drawing us to himself, giving us faith. Coupled with our natural efforts, however feeble, our faith is met and sustained by Him. Jenn likens Matt’s call into ministry to an example from Chapter 4 and emphasizes their surety of God’s timing in the moment. She also speaks about her experience in reading Personal Prayer, feeling challenged to full abandonment and pursuit of the Lord. She speaks of offering up suffering to Him rather than allowing for self pity or self absorption.Lisa highlights the Psalms as the “Christian’s prayerbook,” giving examples of the Psalmist’s words that aid the heartcry within varied places of human experience. Jesus is our example of turning to God when feeling forsaken and He will rebuild amidst divine silence. They conclude this conversation with a deep prayer surrounding words from St. Paul of the Cross that speak of surrender and abandonment to God’s will.Just when you think this book can't get any better, it does. Personal Prayer Book Study Chapters 2 & 3: Relationship and Silence

Join us in covering Chapters 2 & 3 of our Lenten book study: Personal Prayer: A Guide for Receiving the Father’s Love with Jenn, Jacqueline, and Emily. This beautiful conversation explores how prayer is less about performance and more about relationship with a loving Father.“It got me excited for prayer!” Emily shares, reflecting on the book’s image of communion with God as two drops of wax melting together, fused in a way that can never be separated. Together these three talk about opening up to the Lord in new and vulnerable ways. Jacqueline reflects on the shared root of the words attention and tension, noting how prayer draws her out of her own concerns and into deeper intimacy with God. “I want to be attentive so the Lord can draw me in,” she says.Chapter Two lists six “entrances” to vulnerability and stresses the importance of persevering in prayer. Jenn, Jacqueline, and Emily openly share how these themes apply to their own spiritual lives as they “keep showing up.” The episode also explores three levels of conversation in prayer—transactional, positional, and transformational—and how God invites us into deeper dialogue with Him. Finally, the hosts dive into the mystery of silence, drawing on insights from St. John of the Cross, who teaches that God’s eternal “word” is spoken from silence.Emily concludes with a personal story drawn from her silent retreats, offering insight into ways God calms our fears and meets us in the stillness.Find the Lenten Study Reading ScheduleSee our upcoming eventsSign up for new episode drop alertsRelease: March 2026Music by Christian HarperProduction by Christian Harper

Personal Prayer Book Study Introduction and Chapter 1: Human and Divine Relationship

“The Introduction is something I often skip in a book,” Jacqueline admits with a laugh,  “but this one was so good I read it three times!” She continues on to emphasize the word “receiving” from the title of our Lenten book, Personal Prayer: A Guide for Receiving the Father’s Love. Jacqueline, Emily, and Lisa sweetly unpack the idea of being vulnerable in contemplative prayer and delve further into the focus of Lenten disciplines and how dying to oneself brings about fruit. They discuss how prayer reshapes the way we relate to others, whether in marriage, moments of conflict, or even toward those we struggle to forgive. They then explore how prayer softens the heart and makes room for full, authentic forgiveness.Lisa offers a vivid image from the St. Vincent Archabbey,  a bubbling fountain with its source likened to the Lords’ streams from which we draw, letting Jesus reveal Himself to us so we bubble over. The episode concludes with lines from a hymn that speak of the overflowing fountain of God’s redeeming love.Join us and go deeper in prayer, vulnerability, and the fruit of dying to self. For next week: Read Chapters 2 & 3 of Personal Prayer Find the Lenten Study Reading ScheduleSee our upcoming eventsSign up for new episode drop alertsRelease: February 2026Music by Christian HarperProduction by Christian Harper

The conversation offers a rare and honest look at what it’s like to bring the light of Christ into one of the darkest places, and to witness deep spiritual freedom where physical freedom is absent.Pastor Jakob and Dave share their impressions beginning with the security process, the sense of darkness inside, and the chaplain being a light leading to freedom. We learn of the powerful ministry time, with inmates praying through their stories, listening to their hearts and seeing God work! The men receiving prayer were willing and fertile for Unbound—hungry to be free—saying they’d been counting down the days until the team arrived. Dave was reminded of words from Luke 7, “Nowhere in all of Israel have I seen such faith!” He marveled at the openness and honesty of the inmates. “You can feel His joy in each and every one of them.”Special thanks to the prison chaplain who invited and prepared the men, and to the donors who made this trip, and the free workbooks, possible. Joy Hits Different When God Shows Up with Janet Lozano, Lisa Livezey, and Jacqueline Harper

Join Jacqueline, Janet, and Lisa for the third week of our Advent series as we explore something we’re all craving these days: real joy. With so much heaviness in the world, joy can feel distant or even confusing. So what is this kind of joy we’re meant to experience, and why can it feel so hard to hold onto?In this episode, these three dig into the meaning of joy from a faith perspective, but also through personal stories that show what it looks like in real life. Janet provides several helpful definitions of joy – something that enables us to place confidence in God’s plan even through suffering and trials. It is a fruit of the Holy Spirit that resonates from being in the presence of Jesus, allowing us to not complain or be afraid amidst hard times. Joy is a gift from God that flows into our hearts – a sign of God being with us.You’ll hear personal stories from Janet and Lisa of a time when joy showed up unexpectedly and how Jacqueline sees present-day joy as a hint at the heavenly joy we will know one day.How do we cultivate joy in our lives? Janet offers practical advice  along with some ways that the Five Keys of Unbound tie in with experiencing greater joy.“It brings me joy every time I minister to someone,” says Janet. A Peace That Breaks In with Neal Lozano, Jenn Lozano, and Jacqueline Harper

Can you think of a time in your life when you experienced profound peace? That is the kickoff question for the second podcast of our Open Doors Advent series as Jenn hosts Neal and Jacqueline in talking about the peace that Jesus brings. The birth of Jesus can be described as: A message of peace from the heart of our Heavenly Father.Neal encourages listeners to pursue a relationship with Jesus because He Himself is our peace (Ephesians 2:14). It was the intention of God to bring peace through the death and resurrection of Christ and when we encounter Him, He becomes our peace. How do we approach the battles of life knowing that Jesus is our peace? “This is where the rubber meets the road,” says Neal. We are in a battle to trust God and remain in Him, so His peace may be present to us in all situations. There will be times when we press in during a crisis and God breaks in and brings peace in the midst of a conflict. When we allow Jesus to be our peace, He is our hope for reconciliation with one another or any division we can think of right now. Jesus left His place with the Heavenly Father, bringing peace into the darkness of earth. He pursued us. Now I Begin: Finding Freedom to Start Again with Matt and Jenn Lozano

Listen as Jenn and Matt Lozano sit down to unpack a powerful homily by Fr. Mike Schmitz on “Nunc Coepi”, Latin for “Now I Begin.”  Together, they explore what it means to begin again as followers of Christ, even after failure, discouragement, or doubt.Jenn and Matt share candid stories from their own lives, from breakfast table reflections to lessons learned through Unbound Ministry, and discuss how lies we believe about ourselves and about God can quietly shape our hearts. Drawing on Father Mike’s insights, they talk about resilience, repentance as a change of mind, and the transforming power of invoking Jesus’ name in prayer.Together Matt and Jenn examine the power of renunciation in beginning again! Renunciation is an act of the will, done in the name of Jesus, identifying with His work on the cross. “When you’re praying, invoke the name of Jesus,”  Matt says. “Experience its power.” In that moment, we “Nunc Coepi.” We begin again.Whether you’re in a season of renewal or wrestling with starting over, this episode is an encouraging reminder that God’s mercy is new every morning, and that we can always say, “Now I begin.”Find Fr. I Take Authority in the Name of Jesus with Jenn Lozano, Lisa Livezey, and Jacqueline Harper

What does it mean to have authority in Jesus’ name? Jenn hosts this sixth week of the Unbound Book Study series as we talk about the issue of authority. In the book Unbound, Neal emphasizes that speaking words out loud is important. Jacqueline and Lisa share how they have exercised personal authority in the name of Jesus through prayer, and in speaking truth as parents. Authority exists because it has been given to someone.Jacqueline speaks of a significant moment in her life when the power of the authority given through Christ allowed for something she could not do on her own.Authority ties into the relationship that Jesus wants with us and His desire to heal. We see in Scripture that He heals people in a variety of ways. God’s ways are not ours and often He takes us on a long journey to teach us important things about the spiritual life as we pursue healing. The episode concludes with a discussion about ways the church community can help in deliverance from bondage.Warmup Question for chapter 7: When was the last time you felt truly seen, known and affirmed by someone and how did that experience impact you?Blogs on Authority:Authority and the LaypersonAuthority and ResponsibilityCatholic FAQ'sWhere do all the demons go?Podcasts on Authority:The Fourth Key: An Act of Faith with Dr. Mary Healy and Matt LozanoA Ring on Our Finger: Understanding Spiritual AuthorityTake Your StandBecause We are Sons and Daughters with Matt and Jenn LozanoProfessor for a Week! I Renounce in the Name of Jesus with Matt Lozano, Emily Wilson, and Jacqueline Harper

Emily hosts Matt and Jacqueline for Week 5 of our Unbound Book Study: "I Renounce in The Name of Jesus."  Speaking renunciation is crucial because “It gets you out of your own head,” says Matt. It declares a verbal end to lies and negative influences and creates accountability, providing a "feedback loop" to hear your expressed will. It is participating in God's creative act by saying "no" to darkness and "yes" to light.Praying in Jesus’ name means communion with His person and will, remembering our identity in Him. We invoke His mighty name as we take a stand against our enemies, calling upon His victory on the cross and the reality of that victory. We say, “I am done with this,” because He has made it possible. Healthy introspection is reflective as we bring our experiences to God in prayer. Excessive introspection is self-directed and agenda-driven, not Spirit-led, and can lead to confusion and despair. Many times, the things we are renouncing are so “normal” to us. However, we realize in a new way that we don’t want to live with these things anymore. Healing is a process, deepening our intimacy and trust in God who is the Great Physician! Some fun trivia: Can you guess what drink of choice Jaqueline, Matt, and Emily each would opt for when sitting with a group of friends and doing a book study? I Repent, I Believe with Matt and Jenn Lozano and Lisa Livezey

In this episode, Matt and Jenn Lozano join Lisa Livezey to dive into Chapter 3 of Unbound: A Practical Guide to Deliverance by Neal Lozano.Drawing from questions provided in the newly-released Unbound Book Study Guide, Matt provides insight into what repentance looks like in daily life. We can start with an act like saying “I’m sorry,” or surrendering to God, but He is the one who ultimately brings about the change. They have a beautiful discussion, wondering what kind of reception the prodigal son might have received if he’d first encountered his older brother upon returning home.Matt draws parallels between the Acts of the Apostles and the story of the prodigal’s older brother, noting the importance of walking through messy places with new people in our faith community. In conclusion, Jenn emphasizes the beauty of the prodigal son falling into the arms of his father, and together Lisa, Matt, and Jenn pray the heartfelt prayer found at the end of Chapter 3.To prepare for next week’s podcast, read Chapter 4 of Unbound, with the following question in mind: If you could measure how difficult forgiveness is on a scale of 1 – 10, where would you place it in your own life experience and why?Find the Unbound Book Study GuideLearn about Welsh Love SpoonsSupport our mission and donate today!See our upcoming events.Release: October 2025Music by Christian HarperProduction by Christian Harper

Taking questions from the Unbound Book Study, they cover key points from this chapter entitled: “Satan Has a Plan for Your Life.”Often we don’t realize we are believing lies because they are subtle and hidden in our thoughts. Many times, nobody was there to encourage us in the midst of trauma, and our Heavenly Father wants to embrace us and meet us in that place.Last, Lisa shares about receiving Unbound Ministry recently and how she experienced the Fifth Key in a way that seemed to come directly from the Heavenly Father. To prepare for next week’s podcast, read Chapter 3 of Unbound, with the following question in mind: What does the word “repentance” mean to you personally? Freedom to Hope with Matt and Jenn Lozano and Emily Wilson

Matt and Jenn Lozano, along with Emily Wilson, kick off Season 5 of the Open Doors podcast with the theme: Carving New Paths. They introduce our new book study of Unbound: A Practical Guide to Deliverance by Neal Lozano.Chapter One of Unbound is entitled: “Freedom to Hope” and speaks of moving from a slave mentality to embracing our identity in God’s kingdom. Matt, Jenn, and Emily discuss what it means to understand that we are children of God.Matt tells of a special memory when someone shifted from hopelessness to hope while being led through the Third Key – Renunciation. The person felt like an impenetrable wall was broken down bit by bit.The concept of “baruch” means God’s blessing that provides power to prosper, succeed, and thrive. Emily connects this with a reminder that our hope is in Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross to save us from our sins and invite us into the blessing, communion, and joy of being with God and each other for all eternity. If you haven’t read Unbound or if it’s been a while, now is a great time to open this amazing book. Join us as we share best bits from the 2025 Unbound Leadership Conference! You’ll hear brief audio clips from the four main sessions along with Jenn and Lisa’s personal takeaways.Neal Lozano kicked off the conference on Friday evening with his talk, “The Kingdom of God is Advancing.” We learn about a scripture and a song that accompanied Neal’s talk. The second talk was entitled, “He Himself Understood It Well,” by Tom Holloway of Global Awakening who presents his topic with humor. Jenn notes how Jesus fully entered into our humanity, even just by living an “unremarkable life” before His time of public ministry. Also, Lisa shares of a marked moment in her own experience that relates to Tom’s talk.Fr. Boniface Hicks, a Benedictine monk and Director of the Institute for Ministry Formation at Saint Vincent Seminary, spoke on Saturday evening with the title: “Everybody Has a Beautiful Story that Deserves to Be Heard.” His talk helps Lisa gain insight into the Fourth and Fifth Keys of Unbound. Jenn appreciates the practical aspects of Fr. Boniface’s words and the vulnerability displayed in what he shared. From Matt Lozano’s final talk, “The Whispers of God,” Jenn emphasizes distinguishing the difference between listening and hearing when it comes to the voice of God. A Kaleidoscope of Hope with Jacqueline Harper and Helen Stewart

“I have always known Jesus to be my best friend,” shares Helen Stewart, Regional Coordinator for Ireland who describes herself as just a simple girl from the country. Helen organized the recent Unbound conference in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, where Matt Lozano presented, along with Sue Walsh of Unbound UK.As a young mother, Helen unexpectedly experienced crippling anxiety which created what she now knows were “entryways.” She believes the enemy stole both her voice and her joy. “He only took what I allowed him to take, but I didn’t know it back then.” But she never stopped praying, stating it as less a crisis of faith and more an experience of deep loss.In a moment of stark honest anguish during her quest for inner healing, Helen spoke candidly with Jesus. She remembers sitting alone in a church. “I was looking at Him and He was looking at me.”In that instant, the sun found Helen and the Son of God took hold of her and pulled her into His divine love in an experience she describes as “A Kaleidescope of Hope.” Helen’s name means “Bright shining one,” and she shares how that title relates to her faith mission. Reading Unbound added to Helen’s healing and provided a “tool kit” with which to bring healing to others.Still basking in the post-conference glow, Helen mentions a ministry moment where the “Tears were tripping me.” She concludes with sharing the dream and prayer of her heart for Ireland.Listen to the 2025 Leadership Conference talks here. Learn about Unbound Ireland here. Find all our other Unbound teams here. Support our mission and donate today!See our upcoming events.Release: May 2025Music by Christian HarperProduction by Christian Harper

“Anyone seeking freedom is coming with a heart that’s just beautiful,” states Neal Lozano while sharing about connecting heart-to-heart with someone desiring Unbound prayer. “What we’re offering them is our presence, our past experience, receiving from God, and our faith.”Prior to an Unbound session, Neal prays on his own – recently it has been the Lord’s Prayer. Within the session, he invokes the Holy Spirit, asking for help from our Heavenly Father, and for the intercessor present to bring before the throne of God what they hear.Neal offers tips for making a connection with the prayer recipient; the first is to relax. “Don’t be in a hurry. A Lifegiving Source: Neal Lozano Interviews Fr. David Barrow for Holy Thursday

Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, and Father David Barrow –all these can be found in Westminster, London! But it’s Father David Barrow with us on Open Doors this Holy Thursday 2025. He is doing transformative work by incorporating Unbound into parish programs and ministry. Some years back, Fr. David encountered a spiritual war zone which made him open to deliverance prayer. Trying to fight the devil had felt like “boxing in air,” but then a fellow priest told him about Unbound. He attended an Unbound priest retreat and learned about the Five Keys. “Unbound to me has meant a whole understanding of deliverance prayer that has had many implications for me personally but also for the way I do ministry.”Recognizing deliverance was part of the early church, Fr. David integrated the Five Keys into his parish’s RCIA program (a formation course for those entering the Church). And what a difference it made! “The first effect we saw was that people were hungry for more. Sometimes we were there up to midnight because people didn’t want to go home. A lot of people found freedom from traumas they had suffered in their lives.”RCIA became a lifegiving source for individuals but also formed a body of people that could animate the parish. Fr. David has written a short paper on how to include the Five Keys in an RCIA program. This paper is available here and soon to be on the Heart of the Father website.Listen to the very end to hear how Fr. From Enemy to Instrument: The Conversion of Saul With Lisa Livezey, Emily Wilson, and Jacqueline Harper

“Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend us your ears…”Or should we say, lend us your eyes as we imagine ourselves with Roman citizen Saul in the dramatic moments described in Acts 9. Saul, chief persecutor and killer of early church Christians, encounters the voice of Jesus amidst a blinding light.Lisa, Emily, and Jacqueline examine this conversion story in three parts. First, Lisa discusses the moment on the road to Damascus when Saul is blinded by light and falls to the ground. What was it like for his companions and the owner of the home where Saul then stays? Parallels are drawn to the three days Saul spent in darkness and the time between Jesus’ death and resurrection.Emily looks at the early Christian Ananias and his response to the vision where Jesus tells him to go help Saul, someone greatly feared by Christians. His bravery in the face of real danger is recognized and applauded. She notes how Saul went from being an enemy of Christ to an instrument in the hands of God to encourage the early church.Jacqueline speaks of Saul’s first days of ministry, the surprise of his conversion, and the plots against Saul’s life. We hear about Barnabas who vouches for Saul’s credibility and the church experiences dramatic growth. She is struck by the villain-turned-hero drama and how Saul risks his own life to preach the gospel alongside those whom he previously had been seeking to kill. The question in closing is: How are we called to be like Saul and do a 180 to obey God in the moment?Join us as we immerse ourselves in this dazzling story.Support our mission and donate today!Join us in April for our ONE DAY Unbound ConferenceSee our other upcoming events.Release: April 2025Music by Christian HarperProduction by Christian Harper

Carried by Friends: A Paralytic is Healed with Jenn Lozano, Lisa Livezey, and Jacqueline Harper

In this fifth week of Lent, we feature a paralytic whose four friends lowered him through a roof to be healed by Jesus. The value of friendship is discussed and what it means to “carry a friend.” Paralysis can be physical but also can occur emotionally and spiritually in response to challenges faced. In Unbound Ministry, we come alongside a person and let the Lord do His work. Jenn, Jacqueline, and Lisa imagine being immersed in this scene as one of the characters – the paralyzed man, or one of his friends, or the homeowner whose roof was opened up. Or perhaps as someone in the crowd where “amazement seized them all,” and even what it might have felt like to be Jesus in that moment. Jesus demonstrated His divinity by first forgiving the man’s sins. He perceived the reaction of the Pharisees and saw what was in their hearts. Named and Known: Zacchaeus Meets Jesus with Matt Lozano, Emily Wilson, and Jacqueline Harper

Zacchaeus was a wee little man, a wee little man was he; He climbed up in a sycamore tree for the Lord he wanted to see…Many of us remember singing this Sunday School song which speaks of a short man named Zacchaeus who was a rich tax collector and wanted badly to catch sight of Jesus. We know Zacchaeus’ name because Jesus spoke it upon seeing him in the tree, stops the parade of people, and invites himself to Zacchaeus’ house. This was a scandalous idea because the practice of the Pharisees was not to cross the threshold of a tax collector and sinner’s home. But Jesus wasn’t scandalized. As we seek Him, Jesus meets us where we are and enters in. He wants to come to our home and visit each room.It just takes one encounter with Jesus to completely reconfigure one’s life and bring a person to greater freedom and transformation of heart.Matt says he would give the story this subtitle: “I thought I was searching for Jesus, but I found he was searching for me.”Listen and encounter Jesus for yourself today.Support our mission and donate today!Join us in April for our ONE DAY Unbound ConferenceSee our other upcoming events.Release: March 2025Music by Christian HarperProduction by Jacqueline Harper

Welcome to the third episode of the Open Doors Lenten podcast series covering various Stories of Conversion. This week, Neal, Lisa, and Jacqueline gather for a poignant dialogue surrounding the story of a woman healed from twelve years of hemorrhaging. The profound poverty of this woman is discussed and why the constraints of the Levitical Law would have caused her such desperation.“And then she heard about Jesus,” says Neal, “And she grabs hold of it!” The woman verbalizes her belief that Jesus can heal her and merges herself into the throng to merely touch his cloak. The idea of preparation is discussed within the story and related to preparing for an Unbound session. What should we focus on if we aren’t sure what the Holy Spirit is showing us? Neal emphasizes how verbalizing something brings about conviction. The words of Jesus have such meaning here – words like the question, “Who touched me?” and the reassurance, “Daughter, your faith has saved you.” The woman – an individual in the crowd – was healed, yes, but more importantly touched by the Father’s love. “I Do Believe” – Jesus Heals the Demon-possessed Boy with Jenn & Matt, and Janet Lozano

We’re blessed with a Lozano trio this second week of Lent as Jenn, Matt, and Janet discuss a story found in three of the four gospels. It’s about a boy who suffered from an evil spirit that would cast him to the ground, cause him to foam at the mouth, and even throw him into the fire! This story embodies healing — physical healing of the boy but also the healing exchange between the boy’s father and Jesus. Desperate, the boy’s father cried out to Jesus, “Have compassion on us!” He included himself in the request. And Jesus’ mercy shows in His response which resulted in the father’s words that have resonated through the ages, “I do believe, help my unbelief!” Human interaction was so important to Jesus. Baggage Off the Cliff with Jacqueline Harper and Maria Kaminstein

Meet the warm and encouraging Maria Kamenstein, a retired educator, church volunteer, and experienced Unbound leader who is currently writing her spiritual memoir.Maria (pronounced /ma-rye-ah/) tells of her Quaker roots in rural Iowa, college days in the 1960’s, falling in love with her husband Dana, and moving to Philadelphia. When marital conflict left Maria downhearted, she went home to Iowa for a visit and found her younger brothers involved with the Jesus Movement. “They were all out for Jesus,” says Maria. She was drawn to their peace, joy, and centeredness.Maria went home and began to read and pray. She asked God about her marriage and felt like the Lord brought to mind her wedding vows and said, “You made a promise. Stick to it.”Maria replied, “Okay God, but you’ll have to make it work because we can’t.” Surrendering to God brought change within that altered the dynamics in her marriage, resulting in less conflict. After years of prayer by many people, one day Maria’s husband Dana - who is Jewish - said to Maria, “I need to know about God.” He began attending church with her.Dana, a psychologist, was interested in Unbound as a source of healing support to people. He began attending Unbound conferences and, in time, Maria joined him. “Then Neal and Janet started teaching people how to do Unbound sessions. We started doing Unbound prayer with people,“ says Maria.Retired for five years now, Maria is an active leader in Unbound prayer both in-person and via Zoom. “It has been such a privilege to do God’s work in this way,” she says. She describes Unbound as being a very gentle, thoughtful, supportive way to help people with “throwing the baggage off the cliff!”Find Unbound UnpackedCome to our Unbound Leadership Conference in March 2025See our upcoming events.Release: January 2025Music by Christian HarperProduction by Jacqueline Harper
