Palpebræ Mix 21: Blu Aloé [Live]
☉ Palpebræ Mix 21: Blu Aloé [Live] ☉ About Blu Aloé: New Zealand-born Blu Aloé grew up in Cologne, Germany, where she became involved in the local techno scene in proximity to the Cologne-based label and cultural research platform Brutalism. Bodily and immediate, her voice is often treated as significant matter — granulated, eroded into space until it ceases human characteristics and becomes stark texture. Working with modular synthesis and live performance electronics, the practice of the Berlin-based artist moves between confrontational noise and something so fragile and delicate it threatens to dissolve into nothingness. Both extremes embody vessels; both being forces coming from opposite directions; both cathartic purifiers of emotions. The concept of duality plays a pivotal role in Blu Aloés work — moving through experimental sound design, dark drones, rigid mechanical techno rhythms and eventually being left with nothing but bareness and delicate lingering. When language does surface, it arrives in a fragmented poetic way, coming from the interior of self. Her debut on Regis’ Downwards Records, Herde (2026), quickly sold out on Boomkat. Boomkat placed her at the crossroads of Maria Zerfall’s cult 80s DIY works, Anne Gillis and the rugged charges of Tuning Circuits — describing a steely grasp of modular synthesis that finds a bind between hermetic concentration and resonant decay, a spectral voice operating at the crossroads of industrial experimentation, drone and noise techno. Stark greyscale contrasts and doom techno, they wrote. With a darkly sublime kiss-off in vaulted sepulchral space. ☉ About the mix: “I have always been drawn to both sonic extremes equally — uncomfortable harshness and fragile intimacy. Both seem cathartic to me. Both necessary vessels to rinse through. This live recording moves through confrontational noise, dark modular drone, vocal practice, rigid mechanical techno rhythms and delicate lingering. An anticlimactic transition of states before notes dissolve into vast space.ˮ ☉ Follow Blu Aloé here: @blualoe / https://www.instagram.com/blu_aloe/ / https://blualoe.bandcamp.com/ ☉ Follow Palpebræ here: on SoundCloud: @palpebraenetwork on web: www.palpebrae.com on Instagram: www.instagram.com/palpebraenetwork/ on Facebook: www.facebook.com/palpebraenetwork

Palpebræ Mix 20: Igor Dyachenko
☉ Palpebræ Mix 20: Igor Dyachenko Check out the full interview: palpebrae.com/in-conversation-with-igor-dyachenko ☉ About Igor Dyachenko: Igor Dyachenko is an experimental sound artist, composer, and sound designer currently based in Asia, previously in Berlin. Operating at the intersection of sound art, experimental electronic music and spatial research, he has developed a distinct approach grounded in what he defines as “melted reality”—a fluid understanding of sound as a hybrid entity, continuously shifting between physical presence and abstract form. His practice is shaped by a research-driven methodology that privileges attentive listening and material exploration. Drawing from modular synthesis, field recordings and residual sonic artifacts, he constructs dense yet fragile compositions where micro-textures, interference and so-called “defective” sounds become central compositional elements rather than discarded byproducts. While often situated within the ambient spectrum, Dyachenko’s output moves closer to the territories of microsound, dub-informed abstraction and conceptual sound art, where perception, space and temporality are continuously reconfigured. Releases such as Tracked (Entangled Visions), Post Ambient Lux (Appendix.files) and Remnants Of Noise (Offret music) outline a practice that balances sonic precision with intuitive process, while projects like Atemporal and Spatial extend his research into data sonification and environmental translation. Alongside his individual work, Dyachenko runs Epic Room, a studio operating across fashion, film and sound design. Focused on original sound production, the studio develops soundtracks and sonic identities for a range of contexts — from fashion brands and visual productions to exhibitions and immersive environments. ☉ About the mix: “Dedicated to the ghostly atmosphere of the late-night urban environment. Drowning in layers, mirroring observations, ambient drift.” ☉ Follow Igor Dyachenko here: @igordyachenko / https://www.instagram.com/igordyachenko/ / https://igordyachenko.bandcamp.com/ ☉ Follow Palpebræ here: on SoundCloud: @palpebraenetwork on web: www.palpebrae.com on Instagram: www.instagram.com/palpebraenetwork/ on Facebook: www.facebook.com/palpebraenetwork

Palpebræ Mix 19: Marco Maldarella
☉ Palpebræ Mix 19: Marco Maldarella ☉ About Marco Maldarella: Marco Maldarella navigates the intersection of psychedelic dance music and tribal fusion, crafting dense architectures where IDM-inflected glitch effects meet organic textures and drone-laden atmospheres. His output is anchored by the Clinamen EP and his debut full-length Silent Logic on Omen Wapta. Beyond his solo practice, Marco Maldarella explores the dialogue between atmospheric structures and dancefloor dynamics through MARMO, a collaborative project with Christian Duka. A key figure within the Sinestesie collective, he further maintains a consistent presence in the electronic landscape through his monthly residency at Radio Raheem Milano. ☉ About the mix: “Returning from a month of gigs across Asian cities, with the density and velocity of those environments still seeping through, I found myself building this mix around my own new productions, reaching outward toward contemporary artists and others from the early 2000s. It was in those pauses, between one city and the next, that I rediscovered a world of deep space ambient and electro-acoustic sound from artists like Alio Die and Oophoi, whose work pulled me toward a different kind of listening—one that asks for stillness and rewards attention over stimulation. Each track carries within its micro-details, its textures, and its smallest sonic gestures a kind of rhythmic sigil; it is a presence not always audible in the pattern itself but deeply felt in the grain, the pressure, and the way a sound decays. As they blend, their convergence shifts the perception of time itself, making the music feel faster or slower than it actually is—an illusion the body accepts before the mind begins to question it. The mix features both released and unreleased stuff from Ilay Runi, Periskop, Comm, Raar, Theathre, DYL, and Oophoi, alongside collaborations with Abo Abo and MARMO.ˮ ☉ Follow Marco Maldarella here: @marcomaldarella / https://www.instagram.com/marcomaldarella/ / http://marcomaldarella.bandcamp.com/ ☉ Follow Palpebræ here: on SoundCloud: @palpebraenetwork on web: www.palpebrae.com on Instagram: www.instagram.com/palpebraenetwork/ on Facebook: www.facebook.com/palpebraenetwork

Palpebræ Mix 18: DYL
☉ Palpebræ Mix 18: DYL ☉ About DYL: DYL, a music producer hailing from Romania, crafts versatile compositions through his explorations of techno, drum and bass, and ambient music. Known for his atmospheric soundscapes, his work seamlessly fuses deep, driving rhythms with intricate layers and melodies. DYL’s signature sound combines rhythmic complexity with soothing ambient elements, capturing an emotional depth that resonates across dance floors and reflective spaces alike. His focus has consistently centered around the 170 BPM range, where he has helped shape and evolve the genre most notably through his collaborative album ECOU with DB1, released on Re:st. His music can be heard on labels such as Re:st, Detach Recordings, UVB-76, and many more, showcasing his presence in the electronic music scene. ☉ About the mix: “For this mix, I approached it as a gradual unfolding rather than a peak-driven set. I wanted to create a subtle, hypnotic narrative that evolves almost imperceptibly, drawing the listener into a deeper state over time. The atmosphere I aimed for was intimate and immersive — something that feels suspended between tension and calm. I focused on layering textures and allowing tracks to breathe, letting transitions become part of the storytelling rather than just functional blends.” ☉ Follow DYL here: @dyl170 / https://www.instagram.com/dyldnb / https://www.instagram.com/ach0rdat / https://achordat21.bandcamp.com / https://facebook.com/dyldnb / https://www.discogs.com/artist/3439691-DYL-3 ☉ Follow Palpebræ here: on SoundCloud: @palpebraenetwork on web: www.palpebrae.com on Instagram: www.instagram.com/palpebraenetwork/ on Facebook: www.facebook.com/palpebraenetwork

Palpebræ Mix 17: Space Drum Meditation
☉ Palpebræ Mix 17: Space Drum Meditation Check out the full interview: palpebrae.com/in-conversation-with-space-drum-meditation ph: Martijn Kuyvenhoven ☉ About Space Drum Meditation: The duo creates an entrancing sound where tribal rhythms merge with electric pulses. Over the past five years, Space Drum Meditation has developed a unique sound signature by blending traditional and esoteric instruments with cutting-edge electronic elements. Their genre-defying approach seamlessly blends tribal, electronic, ambient, and abstract techno, crafting deeply immersive experiences. Whether performing live or spinning DJ sets, Space Drum Meditation excels at guiding listeners through captivating and mind-bending journeys. Based in Germany, the duo also runs a record label, pushing genre-defying sounds while mainly releasing their own music. ☉ About the mix: "You can expect a tribal, psychedelic blend of House, Goa and Psy influences, mainly with an old-school feel. It’s hard to tell where one genre ends and the other begins, it all flows together. This mix stands out from our usual ones, being a bit less dark and serious as it focuses strongly on this specific aesthetic we’ve been wanting to explore for a while. Most of the tracks are over 20 years old, yet they still feel completely timeless to us. Even though the BPM is slower than on our new EP, the overall vibe still connects. Hope you enjoy the mix! ☉ Follow Space Drum Meditation here: on SoundCloud: @spacedrummeditation on Bandcamp: https://spacedrummeditation.bandcamp.com/ on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/spacedrummeditation/ ☉ Follow Palpebræ here: on SoundCloud: @palpebraenetwork on web: www.palpebrae.com on Instagram: www.instagram.com/palpebraenetwork/ on Facebook: www.facebook.com/palpebraenetwork

Palpebræ Mix 16: Reeko
☉ Palpebræ Mix 16: Reeko Check out the full interview: palpebrae.com/in-conversation-with-juan-rico-reeko-architectural ☉ About Reeko: Juan Rico, also known as Reeko, considers his birth as a DJ around 1997 while the start of his professional career can be traced back to 2002 with his first production for the Swedish label Emergence. From his early moments in the music scene, Reeko has been acclaimed for his visionary approach and his ability to create soundscapes that transcend imagination. His best works from that era were showcased on his own label Mental Disorder, founded since its inception in 2003. In 2010, Reeko further expands his sonic spectrum and creates a new project/label called Architectural, where he showcases his more sentimental, sweet, luminous, and at times introspective and dreamy side, arousing great curiosity from the deep-focused scene, as his sound was strongly influenced by jazz but with psychedelic brushstrokes inspired by the surrealist art of Dalí, Rene Magritte, or Giorgio de Chirico, among others. All of this led him to release works under this alias on major labels, apart from his own, such as R&S, Music Man, Semantica, Ellum, Non Series, or Wolfskuil. His set, laden with intrigue, emotion, hypnotism, and a very distinctive sound design, has led him to perform at special clubs and festivals like Fabric London, Robert Johnson in Frankfurt, or Printworks, and has taken him on tours in Japan, India, or South America. As a part of the Spanish collective PoleGroup from 2010 through 2020, Reeko released several important works on that label. In the early part of the decade, he also releases his EP on the Soma label and two EPs on the avant-garde Avian, positioning Reeko within the realm of intelligent, conceptual techno. More recently Reeko opens himself up to new styles and experiment with new rhythmic structures. Proof of this experimentation is his collaboration with the English producer and techno living legend Surgeon, with whom he signed "Scoundrel" on Mental Disorder, a co-produced EP that clearly delves into different styles in each track. His recent EP on the drum n' bass label Samurai, as well as his new EP on the R&S label under the alias Architectural, make it clear that Juan Rico has found new ways to experiment with his sound. ☉ Follow Reeko here: https://www.instagram.com/reeko_mentaldisorder/ / https://reeko-mdisorder.bandcamp.com/music ☉ Follow Architectural here: @architectural-1 / https://architecturalrecs.bandcamp.com / https://www.instagram.com/_architectural_/ ☉ Follow Palpebræ here: on SoundCloud: @palpebraenetwork on web: www.palpebrae.com on Instagram: www.instagram.com/palpebraenetwork/ on Facebook: www.facebook.com/palpebraenetwork

Palpebræ Mix 15: DJ SHUFFLEMASTER
☉ Palpebræ Mix 15: DJ SHUFFLEMASTER Check out the full interview: palpebrae.com/in-conversation-with-dj-shufflemaster DJ SHUFFLEMASTER, alias of Tokyo-based producer Tatsuya Kanamori, is one of the most influential figures to emerge from the Japanese techno scene in the late 1990s. Closely associated with the seminal Subvoice label, he developed a groove-driven and functional sound that quickly attracted the attention of European techno institutions. His international breakthrough came with the release of his debut album EXP on Tresor Records in 2001 (reissued in 2023), positioning him among the first Japanese techno artists to gain worldwide recognition. In 2014, DJ SHUFFLEMASTER founded his own label Shiki Kyokai, continuing to explore a stripped-back, physical form of techno rooted in rhythm, shuffle, and long-form club dynamics. Through his label and ongoing collaborations, Tatsuya Kanamori has remained committed to a form of techno that resists excess and spectacle, favouring longevity, precision, and emotional restraint. In this conversation, we look back at the formative influences that shaped his path—from early encounters with hip hop, punk, and new wave to the emergence of Tokyo’s underground techno scene — while also exploring his creative process, his view on today’s electronic landscape, and the balance between club functionality and emotional intent. The interview also touches on upcoming releases and the mindset behind the mix recorded for Palpebræ. ☉ About DJ SHUFFLEMASTER: DJ Shufflemaster, alias of Tatsuya Kanamori, stands as a key figure in Japanese techno and one of the first artists from the country to gain international recognition in the late 1990s. Active for over three decades, his trajectory developed alongside the growth of Tokyo’s underground scene. His early work as a producer is closely connected to Subvoice, a seminal label for Japanese techno, where Kanamori refined a direct and physical language built on tight grooves, pronounced shuffle, and sustained rhythmic tension. In 2014, DJ Shufflemaster founded his own imprint, Shiki Kyokai, a platform through which he continues to pursue a personal and disciplined vision of techno: functional, nocturnal, and reduced to its essential elements. Between studio work and clubs, DJ Shufflemaster remains a quiet but constant reference point—an artist who has moved through shifting eras and trends while maintaining a coherent vision, guided by rhythm, movement, and a form of techno that continues to evolve without losing contact with its origins. ☉ About the mix: "While updating my Rekordbox, I rediscovered several tracks I’d never played before, so I added them to the playlist. I also included a few of my own tracks that I hadn’t played out yet. These are records I expect to be playing in clubs for a while, so this mix works almost like a preview of what I’ll be playing at upcoming gigs." ☉ Tracklist: Bandulu - Shutdown Basic Channel - Enforcement [Jeff Mills Mix] Tunnel - Through The Noise Field [Steve Stoll Proper NYC Mix] Paperclip People - Paperclip Man A Number Of Names - Shari Vari [Optic Nerve Detroit Mix] Oliver Ho - Listening To The Voice Inside HIROSHI WATANABE - Live the Life [DJ SHUFFLEMASTER Remix] DJ SHUFFLEMASTER - Reverberant Dub John Thomas - Working Night (DJ Rolando Remix) Random Noise Generation - Instrument Of Change DJ SHUFFLEMASTER & Chester Beatty feat DJ FUNK - Our House Music [DJ SHUFFLEMASTER Remix] KAGAMI - Pati (Piano Piano Mix) [DJ Shufflemaster Remix] Chris & Cosey - Gardens of the Pure Schizo Phrenia - Schizophrenia ☉ Follow DJ SHUFFLEMASTER here: @shiki-kyokai / https://www.instagram.com/djshufflemaster / https://shikikyokai.bandcamp.com/ ☉ Follow Palpebræ here: on SoundCloud: @palpebraenetwork on web: www.palpebrae.com on Instagram: www.instagram.com/palpebraenetwork/ on Facebook: www.facebook.com/palpebraenetwork

Palpebræ Label Mix 03: Greyscale [mixed by grad_u]
☉ Palpebræ Label Mix 03: Greyscale [mixed by grad_u] Read the interview here: https://palpebrae.com/behind-the-label-greyscale ☉ About Greyscale: Founded in Vilnius in the early 2010s, Greyscale has become one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary dub techno. Built on the dialogue between sound and image, the label treats music as a form of visual and emotional architecture — where atmosphere, patience, and depth replace immediacy. Each release is conceived as a complete artwork: analog photography, tactile design, and meticulously curated sound come together to form a cohesive identity. Over time, Greyscale has evolved into a global platform representing more than 150 artists, united by a shared devotion to timeless and introspective electronic music. ☉ About grad_u: grad_u (Aleksandr Martinkevič) is a Vilnius-based DJ, producer, and label owner, widely recognized as one of the key figures in the modern deep and dub techno scene. Active for over two decades, he has shaped a career that bridges multiple roles — from local DJ to international tastemaker — while maintaining a distinctive and coherent sonic identity. Originally rooted in d’n’b, his artistic direction shifted after hearing Fluxion’s Prospect II, a transformative moment that steered him toward the immersive depths of dub techno. Since then, his sound — suspended between natural landscapes and urban geometries — has evolved through the use of analog textures, tape recording, and a painterly approach to production. In 2012, he founded Redscale, his first vinyl-only label, created to host his own work and soon acclaimed worldwide. Yet it was with the launch of Greyscale that grad_u expanded his vision into a fully realized curatorial project. With more than 80 releases and contributions from artists across six continents, Greyscale’s Mood Series has become one of the genre’s most respected and enduring catalogues — a global meeting point for established and emerging producers alike. Beyond his work as a producer and curator, grad_u continues to perform across Europe, bringing his immersive and meticulously crafted sound to clubs and festivals. His presence stands as a testament to a lifelong exploration of techno’s spatial and emotional dimensions. ☉ Tracklist: User.Exp - District Subset - Dust In The Droid ADILR - Deep Space Explorer Sraunus - Holowuka Ercos Blanka - Marine Sediments Alexander Kulikov - Mel Basicnoise - This Vortal Coil Mike Schommer feat. Palpebræ Mix 12: Irazu
☉ Palpebræ Mix 12: Irazu Check out the full interview: palpebrae.com/in-conversation-with-irazu ☉ About Irazu: Irazu (Madrid, 1989) finds in electronic music a vehicle for self-exploration and sonic expression, a way to uncover his identity and emotions. His journey in the scene began as a promoter of events in Madrid, but he soon discovered that music production and releasing records were essential outlets to channel his artistic vision. His early works were released on Stale, Kastil’s label, collaborating with artists such as Acronym, Regis, Pessimist, and Kastil himself. In 2018, he released the mini-album Study for Portrait, showcasing his personal take on techno. Following several releases on labels like Hooded, Artificial Intelligence, and 30drop, as well as producing remixes, Irazu released his EP 140.15 on Stale. However, it was in 2022 when he presented his debut album, Anything Exist Anymore, on Semantica Records. This album delved into melancholic soundscapes while staying rooted in techno and enriched by a broad spectrum of influences. In 2023, Irazu took a step further with Self-Medicating, his second album released on Warm Up Recordings, Óscar Mulero’s label. This work, the most aggressive and dark in his career to date, marked an evolution into more unsettling and introspective sonic territories. Irazu’s influences span key regions in the evolution of techno and experimental electronics: from the West Midlands in the UK to the Netherlands, Italy, and Spain. Artists such as Regis, Svreca, Autechre, Donato Dozzy, Óscar Mulero, Luke Slater, and Surgeon have shaped his sound, alongside pioneers of industrial and experimental electronics like Throbbing Gristle, Whitehouse, Einstürzende Neubauten, and Coil. Irazu’s sound can be described as an intimate space where tension and false tranquility coexist—a constant exploration of new horizons that reflects his relentless artistic pursuit. ☉ tracklist: Rrose - The Tears of Applause (2024-2004) Derue - Plexo Clement - Sussulto Dario Mass - Noise Bank Obscur - Human Target Nao Nhil - Kometa Firek - Basic Instinct Irazu & kNS - Reborn Unbekannt - Mundane Isgang - Sacrificio de Oblacion Coefficient - Folded Membranes David Reina - Self-Denial Psyk & Orbe - Matteria Crøwn - Encore Emzoo - Opportunity 1.7 Whoismarce - Bajo El Agua Negra Feisfois - Picks (Hugo Rolan Remix) Translate - Campo Magnético Variable Biorc - Null Particle Tièmoko Koné - Altercation Audio Resistance - Pulsar Jonas Kopp & Pulso - EC#10 - Expansión Mossed - Minuend Decoder - Realm Irazu - Sad Hills The 65d Mavericks - Earthbound (Surgeon Remake) Irazu - Unreleased ☉ Follow Irazu here: @irazu-1 / https://www.instagram.com/irazumusic/ ☉ Follow Crudo here: @crudo_madrid / https://www.instagram.com/crudo.madrid/ ☉ Follow Palpebræ here: on SoundCloud: @palpebraenetwork on web: www.palpebrae.com on Instagram: www.instagram.com/palpebraenetwork/ on Facebook: www.facebook.com/palpebraenetwork

Palpebræ Mix 07: Biorc
☉ Palpebræ Mix 07: Biorc ☉ About the mix: "For this podcast I wanted to present a selection that I don't usually play when I perform, as my sound is characterised by being faster and more dancefloor-oriented. I love techno in many of its versions. For this, I wanted to use this space to develop a two-hours mix leaded by sci-fi sounds and minimalist melodies, all paced at a slower BPM than I usually work with. The set unfolds slowly, with no abrupt cuts or quick mixes. Everything has its place and time. I started with a long intro and ended with a long outro, blending one ambient track with another quite interference heavy one. Eventually, I also included some material released on my sub-label Null Warp, where the sounds are more focused on this type of techno, and of course I added some of my own tracks." ☉ About Biorc: Alberto Serrano, known artistically as Biorc, is a prominent DJ and producer based in Madrid, co-owner of Ethnic Meeting and Null Warp recordings Biorc's music has been recognized in legendary clubs and supported by industry renowned artists, establishing him as a significant emerging figure in the underground techno scene. Biorc has released 2 albums and 10 EPs, reflecting his meticulous approach to sound design, and has signed his music with labels such as Newrhythmic, Illegal Alien, and Diffuse Reality, among others. Focusing on dark and hypnotic techno sets, he is known for blending the mental with the physical, featuring long mixes and precise equalization. His artistic vision, combined with technical expertise and an unwavering dedication to the genre, positions him as a significant emerging figure in the ever-evolving narrative of underground electronic music. ☉ Tracklist: Architectural - Fragment 03 Tauceti - Azalee Error Channel - Timeless Seyfert Translate - Forward Pause - Regresion PWCCA - Cábala Biorc - Polvo y Gas EMZOO - Opportunity 1.6 Tauceti - Hainan Cham Tensal - Elusive Montero - Voodo Patrick Siech - Metal Flex Damon Wild - Lure PWCCA - TON618 Artyem - Gray Horseman Luca Maniaci - Ritorno Endplate - Aequor Eyvind Blix - Rites Of Passage PWCCA - Alectomancia Psyk - Out Of Sight D-Leria - Transport Orbe - 5º38’27’O Singular Anomalies - Partenope Biorc - Error De Comunicación Distant Echoes - Modus operandi EMZOO - Opportunity 1.3 Singular Anomalies - Intellectual SOul Meryl - Silver Split Border One - Coplanar Datasæt - Perception EMZOO - Opportunity 1.5 Biorc - Abandonado Pause - Radiant (Anthony Ring Remix) Architectural - Fragment 02 Error Channel - broken Transmission ☉ Follow Biorc here: @biorc / https://www.instagram.com/biorc_emrl ☉ Follow Palpebræ here: on SoundCloud: @palpebraenetwork on web: www.palpebrae.com on Instagram: www.instagram.com/palpebraenetwork/ on Facebook: www.facebook.com/palpebraenetwork

☉ Palpebræ Mix 06: Pulso Check out the full interview: https://palpebrae.com/in-conversation-with-pulso/ About Pulso: Joel Pulso challenges the stablished structures in the musical framework since his style became more definitive, experimental, analogous and hypnotic, developing a unique imprint, based on minimalism and the collage method through home-made recordings. His project and musical focus exposes the objective of immersing the listener on his semantic field, going from psychical and cerebral music, to the most sci-fi & loopy danceable style through his productions and sessions. Pulso is part of the great Argentine scene providing musical legacies in renowned labels such as Subsist, Semantica, Float, Mindtrip, just to name a few. Since 2023 his new label was born: Speculations LTD which is dedicated to deliver "complex music on simple format" in which Pulso performs the position of mastering engineer and label managing. Palpebræ Mix 04: Sebastian Bayne
☉ Palpebræ Mix 04: Sebastian Bayne [Recorded live at ://about blank for Staub on 14th of December, 2024] About the mix: "It's been 10 years I've been playing at Staub and whenever I am in town I am there as a punter first and foremost. This December was the first time I was asked to warm up the tent and set the mood for the party, a slot I've been dying to play. The tent is a place I've come to love in the winter, just as much as I love the garden in the summer." About Sebastian Bayne: Sebastian Bayne is not just a DJ – he's a conductor of energy, using sonic journeys to transcend boundaries. Bayne’s style is rooted in the belief that every great performance is a mutual exchange and flow between the crowd and the artist. Bayne hails from sun-kissed Australia, but his approach to techno is deeply connected to the UK sound. He was born in the UK and influenced by the iconic clubs and vibrant scene in London. His style pays homage to the rich tradition of British techno and innovative British music production. His early experiences in the UK ignited his love of electronic music and rave culture. As the steward of IF? Records since 2010 – one of Australia’s first independent techno labels established in 1995 – Bayne has built on its diverse roster of artists, continued holding events, and representing IF? as a DJ everywhere he goes. After a whirlwind of global exploration and sonic conquest, Berlin is a central and developing chapter in Bayne’s journey. With maternal German ancestry, he felt a strangely deep connection to the city’s rich cultural tapestry. Bayne absorbed the raw energy and creative fervor of the city’s techno scene, forging connections with fellow artists and immersing himself in its underground culture. Iconic venues like Tresor and Berghain, and local parties like Staub became his playgrounds, where he shared the stage with luminaries and enjoyed unforgettable moments on the dance floor. Berlin became the canvas for Bayne’s experiments in life, a city where boundaries dissolved, and possibilities stretch endlessly into the night. ☉ Follow Sebastian Bayne here: @sebastianbayne / https://www.instagram.com/sebastian_bayne ☉ Follow Palpebræ here: on SoundCloud: @palpebraenetwork on web: www.palpebrae.com on Instagram: www.instagram.com/palpebraenetwork/ on Facebook: www.facebook.com/palpebraenetwork

Palpebræ Mix 03: Pushmann
☉ Palpebræ Mix 03: Pushmann [ @pushmann ] Read the interview here: https://palpebrae.com/pushmann-zaragoza-s-techno-sunlight/ About Pushmann: After fifteen years of persistent work and performances in clubs all over Spain, Pushmann has become one of Spain’s top DJs and producers, whose influences have been Hip-Hop, Funk and House, among other styles. Pushmann delivers techno for the mind, body and soul: he produces a Detroit-like sound with clear and strong influences from the European musical culture. His imaginary sound is based on the fast-paced, mechanical high-octane grooves. In his classic genre, his purest style, he delivers raw goodness to intrigue more and more the listener and he pays special attention for metallic percussion, well placed in front of everything. His surgical and haunting melodies, looped and accelerated to paroxysm, never goes unnoticed, shaping the style with a sophisticated taste. As DJ he is a self-confessed vinyl lover and a three-deck performer. He enjoys a refined technique after many years of selecting only the best techno, house and ghetto-techno. His DJ sets are defined as strong, energetic and vibrant. In addition to producing on labels like AXIS, Symbolism, KMS Records, Be As One, Matterwave, End Of Dayz, Pushmann is also the owner of N&N Records. His releases have caught the attention, and are being played by artists such as Jeff Mills, Ben Sims, Truncate, Josh Wink, Kevin Saunderson and James Ruskin. ☉ Follow Pushmann here: @pushmann / www.instagram.com/iampushmann_/ / www.facebook.com/pushmanntracks ☉ Follow Palpebræ here: on SoundCloud: @palpebraenetwork on web: www.palpebrae.com on Instagram: www.instagram.com/palpebraenetwork/ on Facebook: www.facebook.com/palpebraenetwork

Palpebræ Mix 02: Hoedus
☉ Palpebræ Mix 02: Hoedus [ @hoedus ] Hoedus is a DJ and producer from the eternal city Rome that established himself in the electronic music scene under his former name OWL, before rebranding himself as Hoedus. His journey through electronic music began at a young age refining his skills by playing at various local clubs in Rome, eventually becoming the resident DJ at the popular party Algoritmo. By exploring various genres, he found his musical foundation in ambient and techno, two styles that greatly influenced his future productions and led him to release his music on labels such as Non Series, Semantica, Mental Modern and Monday Off. Hoedus draws inspiration from nature and his city, navigating between analog and digital machines to create experimental and hypnotic sounds that incorporate both ethereal and meditative phases of ambient/drone music, as well as strong tones of techno, using a unified language that reflects his unique style. About the mix: “I must admit, finding new tracks that truly resonate with me has become quite a challenge lately. The musical landscape seems to have shifted towards sounds that don't fully satisfy my musical tastes. That's why I've decided to include some older tracks in this mix, like those by Vakula, who I consider a genius. Social media has revolutionized the way music is made, but in my opinion, it has also introduced a certain degree of homogenization. Nowadays, it's a fact that a producer/DJ's career hinges more on online visibility than on the quality of their productions. The number of posts, followers, and interactions: it all matters more than the ability to create something truly original. It's a shame, because it risks losing sight of what has always made techno music so special for me: its ability to innovate. Who's to blame? I think it's a bit of everyone's fault. Artists, the audience, and bookers. Artists should strive for originality and experiment with new sounds, audiences should be open to exploring diverse genres and supporting emerging talent, and bookers should prioritize quality and diversity in their bookings. I firmly believe we're in a cyclical phase within the techno scene. I'm convinced that sooner or later we'll witness a resurgence of originality and experimentation, and that new artists and new sounds will emerge, bringing a fresh breeze.” ☉ Tracklist: datassette - The Illusion Of Choice Desroi - Remain In Thoughts Feral - Riad Yukimasa - Kyber Crystal (Refracted Remix) Pulso - Debugger Markus Suckut - Tribe Quelza - And Suddenly, I Was Reborn Fabrizio Lapiana - Riflessi Planetary Assault Systems - Raid (Steve Bicknell Rework) Mike Parker - Hiss Vakula - The End Luigi Tozzi - The Deer Hunter Konduku - Rupsje Surgeon - The Power Of Doubt Fergus Sweetland - Do You Like Sound Vakula - Trip To Your Mind ☉ Follow Hoedus here: @hoedus / www.instagram.com/hoedus.music / www.facebook.com/hoedusmusic ☉ Follow Palpebræ here: on SoundCloud: @palpebraenetwork on web: www.palpebrae.com on Instagram: www.instagram.com/palpebraenetwork/ on Facebook: www.facebook.com/palpebraenetwork
