They did everything they could to destroy the temple of His body. In this way He produced the cleansing agent that cleans away all our sin - His holy precious blood and His innocent suffering and death. Jesus also said, "… in three days I will raise it up." Foretold in Zechariah 9:9, Palm Sunday celebrates Jesus’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem, where the crowd of people laid out palm branches to honor Him as King. In true humility, Jesus rode over those branches into Jerusalem, not on a magnificent stallion, but on the colt of a donkey.
