What was the focal point of Christ’s mission here on earth?

A study of the book of Daniel, chapter 9. We continue to delve into the 490 years of verse 24 a bit, and the history of Israel with God's long suffering and mercy. There are deep truths involved in this that need to be seen to help us with the big picture concerning ancient/literal Israel. This is especially warranted as we hear non-biblical views about the relationship between Christians and Israel being espoused from the highest offices of the land. What is meant but the 2300 days? What happens at the end of them? Join me as we dig deep into this message from God to Daniel... and us!

A study of the book of Daniel chapter 8. Daniel’s attention is now drawn away from the vision to a conversation he hears between two saints that happen to be present. This is the first time they are mentioned, and it seems clear by the question asked that they have witnessed the vision along with Daniel. Who are these saints? How many are present here altogether? What is the answer to the question from the Saint? Join me as we begin looking deeply at verses 13-14.

We are continuing in the book of Daniel, chapter 8. In Daniel Chapter 7 we were introduced to the rise of the Bold Pretender—the Little Horn power in its Papal roots, and his war against the saints of God by persecuting them and thinking to change the times and laws of God. The same Little Horn in its pagan and papal roots is revealed in more detail in chapter 8, who has become The Desolater that "waxed exceeding great," whose blasphemies reach unto heaven, to the Prince of princes, to destroy the daily.

We are finishing up our look at the judgment scene depicted in Daniel 7, which tells us the process for determining who is among the sheep and who is among the goats. The ultimate issue for the judgment is to determine whether or not Satan's accusations against God are true. Please join me as we see what the Bible reveals.

As I have contemplated and studied the sin issue, for over thirty years now, I have come to the conclusion that the real reason that we as professing Christians stay where we are even when called by Jesus to separate from sin and apostasy is because we love our independence. And Satan feeds that love of independence because he is the originator of it and so we are fooled into thinking that we can be independent and still be in the family of God. And just what is the sin of independence? This is at the heart of the Sin Issue and so it’s the topic of this study.

If in your personal situation you have pointed out sin in your church, your church turned against your call for repentance of sin and so you have obeyed the Lord and separated from that assembly--that organization, what is your attitude now to be toward that church organization? This is a growing issue as more and more churches are coming into conformity with the worlds standards and shunning God's word and law. How do we, God's faithful law keepers, react to our former brethren?
