When Darkness Loses Its Power: Healing Trauma Through the Father’s Love with Dr. Robin Braun
Send us Fan MailIn this deeply moving episode, I sit down with Dr. Robin Braun to explore the journey of healing from eating disorders, perfectionism, and performance-based identity — through the transformative love of Father God.Dr. Braun shares her unique path into inner healing, combining tools like frequency work, muscle testing, and deliverance ministry with her work as a licensed professional counselor. These stories are not easy to hear, but they reveal a profound truth: when darkness is exposed, it loses its power. As Dr. Braun says, “Once you take the lid off of darkness, darkness loses its power.”Rather than focusing on the trauma itself, Dr. Braun brings survivors into encounters with Jesus — where wounded parts are met with love, truth, and miraculous healing. Theological Discussion and Untangling Scripture with Marg Mowckzo
Send us Fan MailIn this powerful episode, we explore the biblical theology of Christian egalitarianism with Marg, a thoughtful theologian and teacher committed to helping believers flourish in Christ.Marg shares her conviction that while men and women have fundamental biological differences, they share far more in common and are essentially equal before God. She believes women and men should have equal access to opportunities and services that support human flourishing, and that roles, responsibilities, and functions in the home, church, and wider society are best shared according to a person’s God-given gifts, abilities, talents, and temperament rather than gender.Marg holds a Bachelor of Theology (BTh) from the Australian College of Ministries (ACOM) and a Master of Arts (MA) from Macquarie University, specializing in early Christian and Jewish studies. Her award-winning thesis focused on deacons and Phoebe of Cenchrea, offering fresh insight into women’s leadership in the early church. Much of her time is spent studying, writing, and engaging with people online who reach out through her work. Her personal vision is rooted in Romans 8:29: “to be conformed to the image of Christ.” While she acknowledges this will not be fully realized in this lifetime, she holds fast to the promise of 1 John 3:2. Her mission is twofold:to draw as close to God as possible, be continually filled with the Holy Spirit, and encourage others to do the same, andto live as a Kingdom agent wherever she is.Marg’s heart is to see Jesus-followers thrive in the new life Christ offers. Listeners are invited to explore her articles and Bible study notes on Philippians and 1 Peter, and to connect with her for speaking engagements through her website or social media platforms, on Facebook, Instagram, Bluesky, Twitter, and Linktree.Beyond The BeaconJoin Bishop Kevin Sweeney for inspired interviews with Catholics living out our faith!Listen on: Apple Podcasts SpotifySupport the showFollow along at Instagram @restoringministriesok or Facebook @restoringministriesok. Fighting for an Identity with Cecilia McGaw
Send us Fan MailCecilia and I have an amazing conversation of what it means to be an undocumented young girl crossing the US/Mexico border repeatedly over the course of her childhood. Cecilia says that our childhood years are our most formative ones and the manner in which we process information is impacted by our parents and other influential adults, culture and other factors that stick with us into adulthood. Her childhood was filled with lies she had come to believe about herself. Those lies held her hostage and hindered Cecilia from living the life God purposed and fashioned specially for her. In each seismic event she encountered during adulthood, Cecilia could feel herself being stripped of all the masks she wore in an attempt to protect some fictitious version of herself.Cecilia's hope is that her book, Fighting for an Identity, will help others live a life free of the lies that have held them captive. Our conversation details what it means to come into true understanding of our identities in Christ and how intricately woven together our lives are by God. Training Believers to Break Ungodly Oppression with Frank and Kristy Wentz
Send us Fan MailFrank and Kristy Wentz and I have an amazing discussion around healing and deliverance and how the church is missing the mark for the body of Christ. In order to walk in abundance, we need all three - counseling, inner healing and deliverance. We also speak about post-deliverance work and how they are equipping people to walk out their freedom. Their story will encourage you to chase after the freedom set before us. Frank and Kristy Wentz were called into ministry in 2020 when confronted with the demonic oppression of a family member. When they could not find a church in their area to help break this, they began to pray asking for Gods help and direction. With faith, prayer, and research they confronted the evil and through the power of Christ, they were able to break the oppression. They soon found themselves helping break oppression off other family members, then friends, and then friends of friends. After hundreds of deliverances, they knew their calling was not only to help deliver people, but to also train others to help set people free through Christ. Finding Freedom was created to provide Christ centered deliverance to Christians dealing with oppression and to train individuals and churches in deliverance.Luke 10:19 "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you."Beyond The BeaconJoin Bishop Kevin Sweeney for inspired interviews with Catholics living out our faith!Listen on: Apple Podcasts SpotifySupport the showFollow along at Instagram @restoringministriesok or Facebook @restoringministriesok. Overcoming a Traumatic Brain Injury with Doug Stroup from Make It Clear Studios
Send us Fan MailDoug Stroup from Make It Clear Studios discusses how he overcame a traumatic brain injury and how God has used his story and perseverance to bring about other's stories through film. From dealing with sex trafficking, to bullying and teen suicide, Doug's heart to bring hard topics to the screen to help others is inspiring. After a prolific career in the film industry, Stroup suffered a cycling accident that left him unable to walk, talk, or drive for almost three years. It was a dark and difficult time in his life, but, like most of Stroup’s films, he found strength from God and a community of fellow believers.“When you have a traumatic brain injury, you don’t know what you’re doing,” he said. “You don’t even know who you are. I felt God was done with me, not because of His lack of ability to use me, but because of my lack of ability to be used, because my brain didn’t work for literally almost three years.”As bills mounted and he worked to regain his ability to think clearly, “Samaritan Ministries came through every step of the way,” Stroup stated. Today, Make It Clear Studio releases award-winning films and series that help to shed light on some of the struggles that Christians face in the modern world. Visiting Heaven and How to Untangle Emotional Healing through Forgiveness with John Fenn
Send us Fan MailJohn and I speak about his journey with Jesus and how he learned about the Father's heart. John's visits to heaven and subsequent visitations from Jesus highlight how relational our God is. John does an amazing job of explaining how emotional healing and forgiveness is a process. Untangling our emotions with the Lord leads to the ultimate freedom. John and Barbara Fenn were born in Kokomo, Indiana and grew up just a few miles from each other. They began dating as teenagers and were born again together and baptized with the Holy Spirit at age 16. Each attended Indiana University after graduating high school and were then married in 1978.Their first year of marriage they worked for the PTL Club in Charlotte, North Carolina, learning a lot about how to do and not to do ministry! They moved to the Tulsa, Oklahoma area in 1979, and John graduated from Rhema Bible Training Center in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma in 1980.They moved to the Boulder, Colorado area in the spring of 1980, and over the next 12 years John served in various capacities including Campus Minister at the University of Colorado in Boulder, pastor, associate pastor, and traveling minister. In late 1992 they (and their 3 sons) moved to Tulsa to become involved with Victory Christian Center, a church of about 13,000 members, Billy Joe and Sharon Daugherty, pastors.John served as Associate Director of Victory Bible Institute, the Bible school of Victory Christian Center, and then became Executive Director where he served for three years. Resigning in the summer of 2000, he began traveling and teaching in churches and Bible schools all over the country. In the fall of 2000 Peter Wagner asked John to become the Educational Advisor to the Apostolic Council of Educational Accountability (ACEA), the group of Bible schools around the world affiliated with Peter and Global Harvest Ministries. He also became a faculty member of the Wagner Leadership Institute (WLI), based out of the World Prayer Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In December of 2000 John was asked to become the Canadian National Director for WLI.After starting The Church Without Walls International, John severed ties with Peter Wagner and Global Harvest, as they were moving in different directions. It seems that over 37+ years of walking with the Lord and in ministry, the Lord has allowed John and Barb to be associated with various ministries before they started getting off balance, then moving them on, taking the best part of things learned with them.John is the author of “Beyond The BeaconJoin Bishop Kevin Sweeney for inspired interviews with Catholics living out our faith!Listen on: Apple Podcasts SpotifySupport the showFollow along at Instagram @restoringministriesok or Facebook @restoringministriesok. Bibles for Kids and How the Spirit is Moving in Ukraine with Dirk Smith
Send us Fan MailDirk Smith, of EEM, and I discuss how God is using the Bible to bring transformation to the people of Ukraine and surrounding Communist countries. The stories of how embracing the Bible have given hope to the hopeless is awe inspiring. We discuss how God can change nations through his word and what could happen if this was embraced in the West. Eastern European Mission, announced its goal achievement in the Bibles for Kids campaign of delivering more than 570,000 Bibles to kids in Eastern Europe in 2024 - bringing the total over the last three years to more than 1.7 million Bibles in 19 different languages to nations like Hungary, Croatia, North Macedonia, Ukraine, Romania and Albania. “It's crucial that we engage kids with the Gospel while they are young,” said EEM Vice President Dirk Smith. “As we are experiencing here in the West, it’s much more difficult to build a Christ-centered character if someone isn’t reached with the message of Jesus until their later teen years.” To learn more about Bibles for Kids, visit www.eem.org/bfk. Leaving a Cult but Not Leaving Jesus with Author Ryan George
Send us Fan MailRyan George spent the first 20 years of his life in a cult, attending a series of Independent Fundamental Baptist (IFB) churches including one where his dad was the pastor, adhering to the dangerous teachings of men like Bill Gothard. Several years after leaving the IFB in his 20s, Ryan discovered his father had sexually molested one of his sister’s friends when she was a child. Then almost ten years later he listened to podcast episode detailing more abuse and coverup and based on his mother’s reaction, he realized his father was a serial sexual abuser with a harmful pattern of abuse going back decades. For the past 25 years, Ryan was forced to examine deeply ingrained beliefs – including ideas around consent and abuse – and reevaluate what he truly believes. While he left the dangerous fundamental theology, Ryan didn’t walk away from Jesus, reconstructing his faith and attending (a non-abusive) church, where his wife is on staff. In his new book, Hurt and Healed by the Church: Redemption & Reconstruction After Spiritual Abuse (April 12), Ryan exposes how abuse is built into the fabric of American churches, but it doesn’t have to stay that way. His story shows it is possible to rebuild your faith and find healing from church trauma and spiritual manipulation.Beyond The BeaconJoin Bishop Kevin Sweeney for inspired interviews with Catholics living out our faith!Listen on: Apple Podcasts SpotifySupport the showFollow along at Instagram @restoringministriesok or Facebook @restoringministriesok. 'God's Heart for Healing' with Author and Pastor Jerod Long
Send us Fan MailGod's heart is for healing! That is the life-giving message that Jerod and Candice Long discovered as they watched their boys battle life-threatening illnesses. Along the journey, they asked the hard questions that everyone asks when facing a health crisis. Questions like:Why do we get sick?Is it God's will for us to be sick?Does God still heal today? Why do some people get healed and others don't?How much faith do we need in order to be healed? What role does God play in our sickness? What role does Satan play in our sickness? How should I pray for someone who is sick? And many more! The answers they found strengthened them, built their faith, and gave them the courage to pray with boldness and power for the healing of their sons.In God's Heart For Healing, pastor and respected Bible teacher Jerod Long provides a biblical, balanced look at sickness, suffering, and the ministry of healing. The answers provided in this book will encourage your faith and give you hope for healing.Jerod Long is a pastor, teacher, and prophetic leader at The Father's House, in West Chester, OH. Healing from Porn Addiction with Coach Frank Rich
Send us Fan MailFrank Rich has worked as a certified Health and Fitness coach for the last 15 years, training men to build muscle and become physically fit men. Meanwhile, Frank had a secret. Frank was introduced to pornography at very young and unequipped age. Sometimes around the age of 6-7 was his first exposure to what at the time was a "hustler type" of magazine. For almost 30 years after, he never truly understood the impact that they had and the negative effectives that a daily (and sometimes multiples times a day use of pornography) was having on his brain and body. After finding freedom and Christ back in 2019, he now dedicates his life and work to helping other high-performing men remove the spirit of lust from their lives that is silently killing their productivity and preventing them from experiencing all this incredible life has to offer. We also speak about how porn is affecting women and marriages as well. Rebuilt Recovery is a wonderful program for men helping them overcome their porn addiction. Continued Healing and Restoration from Satanic Ritual Abuse
Send us Fan MailGod gives us permission to choose Him again and again. Parker and I discuss continual healing from satanic ritual abuse along with how much healing has happened in her life this last year. We discuss breaking off generational curses, protecting our bloodline and seeing God's redemption over our lives. But different revelations of God's goodness make you realize how much God wants to help write our stories. "I was caught up in the past of 'I want to be used by you' rather than let you get to know me. God, you give me so much of yourself, more than I give you access to me. Why do you give so much more of yourself? He said it's because 'I want you.' It's not because he has to. He wants me to know him. I created you to be needy, to want and need me." Deliverance, Spiritual Warfare and Her Inner Healing Journey with Dana Lyn
Send us Fan MailDana and I discuss her testimony of learning about deliverance, spiritual warfare, denominationalism, and how God delivers today. Her unique giftings and perspective help set people free through her ministry The Bless Collective. Dana's testimony is one of God's power to set us free and help all of us walk out John 10:10 in our everyday lives. Dana's testimony: I walked through the first part of my life trying to find my value and identity in all the wrong things. Nothing satisfied me. I was so empty and discontent. Nobody knew how unhappy I was on the inside. I looked like I had it all together from the outside - a good job, a nice car, etc. I had a God sized hole in my soul that only His Light and Love could fill!I knew about religion, but I had no idea what a relationship with Jesus meant. My heart hadn't connected with those seemingly cliche words "Jesus loves you". The Lord started pursuing my heart and I finally accepted Christ as Savior and was baptized in 2012. I still hadn't opened my heart fully to God. Several years later, I went through a very difficult trial. It was a season where God shuffled all of my cards as He was pruning my life. I was distraught, angry, bitter, confused and felt out of control. I was crying out to the Lord every day for a week to change my situation, but He wanted to change my heart. At the end of that week, I was at the end of myself! I was on my knees sobbing and I knew the Lord had to take over as I wasn't living the abundant life that is promised in His Word. I fully surrendered and let go of control. It was then that I had a powerful encounter with the Lord and was radically delivered. She vowed to help other believers learn the secrets of the Kingdom that had not been taught and empower them to fight against the Kingdom of Darkness. Dana has completed formal training in multiple Inner Heart Healing and Deliverance modalities and continues her studies as a Level 2 student through Invicta Ministries teaching arm, Invicta University. From leading teams in countries in Iran and Afghanistan, to equipping us to spread the Gospel through his AKTS schools, we have a beautiful conversation about God working in the world. His family story which marked his life at a young age really sets forth the mandate to 'Set the Table' and see and expect God to do the miraculous in your life. Robby is an international best-selling author, evangelist and passionate church equipper in the U.S. and in 70+ countries.During Robby’s 30 years in pastoral ministry, he planted a church in Aurora, a high-risk city in Illinois with elevated crime rates and gang activity. 80 percent of church members came to Christ at his church, and 60 percent of those members through power encounters (prophetic, healing, deliverance, or ministry of God’s manifest presence). The mayor of Aurora along with its chief of police bestowed upon Robby and the Church an acknowledgement that he and the church made a significant difference in Aurora’s crime rate reduction. Robby often credits his time pastoring in Aurora as preparation for his ministry in some of the most dangerous countries in the world. In 2019, Robby began planting power evangelism schools in the underground church in the Middle East in countries like Pakistan, Armenia, and Iraq. His heart is to raise up underground leaders to transform the most dangerous countries on Earth with the gospel. Healing and the Everyday Miracles of God with Praying Medic
Send us Fan MailToday we welcome Praying Medic on the Pursuing Redemption Podcast. We have an amazing discussion on God's healing miracles and how you can experience His power and authority in everyday life. We also talk about the dreams he's been having and how to prepare for what's ahead for the United States. Praying Medic's Bio: My life prior to the year 2000 was pretty ordinary. I was an atheist, doing the best I could to keep things moving in a positive direction. One day, I had an encounter with Jesus in the bunk room of a fire station that forever changed my life.In 2008, God appeared to me in a dream and said He would heal my patients if I prayed for them. I didn’t believe in healing at the time, but I reluctantly began praying. I had no idea what I was doing, but along the way, I stumbled upon some keys to operating in healing and miracles. In 2009, I began blogging about the people I prayed with who were being healed.I write about a variety of subjects including healing, dreams, seeing in the spirit, hearing God’s voice, economics, politics, and Qanon.PodcastsYou can catch his latest podcast on his podcast page or on Podbean or iTunes.BooksFor more information check out his book page.
