On this Mother's Day, we take a moment to admire the sacrifice and servanthood of mothers around the world, across generations. And we can't help but notice the way Jesus spoke about sacrifice and servanthood as we study Mark 10. Glad to have you with us!

What do you do when you feel like all you've worked for just isn't quite...enough? In Mark 10, we find a man who took that question straight to Jesus. Join us as we unpack the answer that left the man conflicted and wrestle with its implications today.

In Mark 10:13-16, Jesus corrected the priorities of His followers. Our culture is vastly different from the ancient near east, but His correction forces us to examine our priorities as well.

The Bible says quite a bit about relationships, but it can be tricky to figure out how it all applies to our lives now. Join us in Mark 10 as we look at what Jesus said about divorce and how it reflects God's heart toward us.

In Mark 9, Jesus is showing His disciples the Way and cautioning them not to exclude those that don't belong to the "in crowd", those that seem to have little to offer, or those that are weak and vulnerable. He is also encouraging them to remove anything that tries to keep them from following Him wholeheartedly. Join us as we learn to follow Him more closely.

Jesus invites us to "take up our cross" and follow Him, and then He leads us (one step at a time) into resurrection life! Join us as we continue to follow Him together.

We all want to be important - maybe even more important than others. The disciples were no different. In Mark 9:30-37, those who followed Jesus most closely got into a heated debate about which of them was greatest. When they asked Jesus, His answer wasn't what any of them expected. Join us as we learn from what He had to say.

In Mark 9, Jesus comes down from an incredible mountain top experience and finds Himself facing the same-old, same-old. We can learn a lot from His response. Join us as we follow Jesus together!

In Mark 9, God confirms that Jesus is the one that He sent & the one that we should listen to. Even as Jesus is talking about His way being self-sacrifice. Join us as we lean in to this confirmation and as we practice listening to Jesus.

In Mark 8, the disciples were looking to the Messiah to save them. We are still looking to Him today. But what they didn't expect, and what we often forget, is that the way of Jesus is the cross. The cross not only saves us, but is also meant to shape us.

In Mark 8:22-30 Jesus heals a blind man, but it takes not just one touch, but two. Was Jesus having a bad day or was He offering us (and His early followers) a bit of a parable? While our understanding of Jesus and His way may be fuzzy at best, if we let Him touch us a second time we will come to see Him more clearly.

We talk about the grief that follows the loss of a loved one, but what about the loss of a dream? In Acts 7:20-33 we read that Moses has a dream but faces one dead end after another. Join us as we learn how to trust the Father as He develops the character within us that is required for whatever it is He created us for.

The Bible isn't all flowers and sunshine. There is lament too. In Psalm 13, David tells God exactly how he feels as he is riding the struggle bus. Join us as we learn to follow his example.

The average American spends nearly 1/3 of their life at work. God is inviting us to participate in what He is doing in the world, but how do we partner with Him if we also have a job to do (preferably, without getting HR involved)? Join us in Daniel 1 as we discover how to go on mission with Jesus in our workplaces. This sermon ends with a panel of 4 members of our church family that are partnering with God and seeing Him move in their co-workers', clients', and employers' lives. When we are experiencing pain or trials, it is natural to look for a way to fix it or escape, to make life feel good again. But what if God is wanting to use the struggle we are trying to escape from to form us into what He wants us to be? We are all after the "Good Life", but often feel like we've got to be missing something. Riding the struggle bus feels less impossible because Jesus does it with us and for us. But if we are honest, we can still feel alone. Join us in 1 Corinthians, as we see what the Bible says about the entire body of Christ uniting and supporting one another in hard times.

When God created Heaven & Earth, He planned for them to be connected through the Garden of Eden. But, when people chose to deviate from His plan, He didn't just scrap the idea - leaving Heaven and Earth completely separate for eternity. Again and again, He breaches that gap. Join us as we learn what that means for us.

Join us in Isaiah 53:1-4 as we wrestle with the stark contrast between the hope and joy this season brings and the reality of our suffering.

We often don't realize it, but we can be walking shoulder to shoulder with Jesus and still miss what He's saying. Join us in Mark 7:31-37 as we see Jesus open a man's ears, and ask Him to open ours as well.

Join us in Mark 7 as we see a woman - seemingly disqualified from God's Kingdom in many ways - approach Jesus boldly. Not only does He approve of her bold faith, He opens the doors to all gentiles from this point forward (including us!)

The Pharisees complain to Jesus in Mark 7:1-23 about how His disciples neglect following their strict religious rules and rituals. Join us as we see Jesus stand up for His people in the face of these accusations, and as we learn how He does the same thing today, for us.

Join us in Mark 6:45-53 as we see Jesus do some unexpected things that leave the disciples perplexed and frustrated.

The disciples are worn out in Mark 6:30-44, but they notice the hungry people around them and point the need out to Jesus. He asks for their limited resources, multiplying what they have to feed over 5000 people, with leftovers! Join us as we explore how Jesus might be doing the same thing today - asking us to surrender what little time, money, energy we feel we have so He can make the most of it.

What if grief is not a problem to be fixed, but a place where Jesus can meet us? Join us as we gather for All Saints Sunday.

Join us in Mark 6:1-13 as we see Jesus experiencing rejection by the people in His hometown because they thought He was too ordinary to be the Messiah. And then we see Him sending out 12 seemingly ordinary guys - His disciples - with authority to do the same things they had seen Him doing.

Join us in Mark 5:21-43 as Jesus heals 2 people that were unclean and unworthy of His touch. He blew through the social and cultural barriers to rescue them, and wants to do the same today for each of us.

In Mark 5, Jesus and His disciples are accosted by a man that is full of demons and living among the tombs because he is a danger to himself and others. Instead of rejecting him in his broken state, Jesus sets him free and sends him on mission. Join us as we embrace the challenge of surrendering our own brokenness to Jesus so that we to might be set free to walk in the identity and authority God has given us.

Join us in Mark 4:35-41 as we realize with the disciples that no matter how much faith we think we have, there is always more available to us.

We set goals, make plans, and put in the work. But if we don't see instant results, we get discouraged. Jesus shows us another way in Mark 4:26-34. Join us as we learn to plant seeds and rest as we watch the Father make them grow.

God is trying to get our attention, and it's important we don't ignore Him. Yet, listening to Him can feel as difficult now as it was when the book of Mark was being written - maybe even more so! Join us in Mark 4:21-25 as we learn how to listen to God more closely.For your reference, here are the three questions we can ask every day:- Father, what are we doing today?- What do I need to be reminded of?- Who do I need to pay attention to?

Jesus taught using parables for many reasons, and this first parable in Mark 4:1-20 explains why. Join us as we practice listening and letting His word change us.

In Mark 3:20-33, we read that Jesus' family thinks He's nuts and the religious leaders are accusing Him of serving Satan. Yet, Jesus continues to go against the grain - teaching about grace and re-defining 'family'.Join us as we continue to encounter Jesus & follow Him more closely.

In Mark 3:6-19 Jesus is facing mounting pressure both from those that want to follow Him, and those that want him dead. Yet, He doesn't get distracted from His purpose - He is setting everything in the world right by building a spiritual family. This family's purpose is to help one another grow closer to the Father, care for one another, and to grow exponentially. This is the same spiritual family WE are invited to be part of today.

Jesus prioritizes compassion over custom and the religious leaders tried to call Him out in Mark 2:23-28. Join us as we examine the roles of legalism and grace in our own lives based on His example.

We are often tempted to make sacrifices for the sake of sacrifice alone (or to avoid making them at all). Join us in Mark 2:18-22 as we examine Jesus' response to the challenge that He and His followers weren't following the religious customs closely enough.

When Jesus extends grace to us we are in awe and grateful. But what about when He extends grace to those we don't agree with? Those that have betrayed us? Those that aren't worthy?Join us in Mark 2:13-17 as we embrace the challenge of following Jesus' example.

Join us as we wrap up the first chapter of the book of Mark. Jesus sees the leper as he is - unclean, and meets him with compassion and power.

Just as God was beginning to move in Capernaum, Jesus decided it was time to move on. It doesn't seem logical, but it does give us a glimpse into His relationship with work and rest. Join us as we learn to follow His example in Mark 1: 32-39.

We want to know what Jesus is really like - what motivates Him. Join us as we examine the details as He heals in Mark 1:29-34.

Join us as we observe the power and authority Jesus has in Mark 1:21-28 and in our own lives.

In Mark 1:16-20, Jesus says, "Come, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." But what does that mean, exactly? Join us as we unpack these life-changing words.
