We live in a world of many gods, but there is only one true and living God. Our God is the true God. He says of Himself, "I am God, and there is none else." God's greatest demonstration of love is Calvary. If you want to know what God is like, look at the cross. If you have an argument with something God has done, and you think the Lord has mistreated people or withheld mercy when He could have given mercy, then look at the cross. The Lord Jesus Christ suffered and bled and died for the vilest of us. This is the love of God. The height of divine glory and love is seen at Calvary.

We must be aware that we live in a world that is absolutely saturated with the "spirit of error." So much of what we hear sounds spiritual and good, but we must stay with the truth of God's Word, be guided by the "spirit of truth," and put everything to the test. Jesus Christ is the test! If what one says does not line up with the Scripture concerning the Saviour, the Christ of the Bible, then we must stand strong and firm on what God says concerning His only begotten Son.

It is of utmost importance to know whether you are a child of God or a child of the Devil. When the children of God leave this world, they go to be with God forever; children of the Devil go to be with the Devil in eternal hell forever. The most dangerous evil is the evil that most resembles the truth. How do God's people recognize error that looks like truth? The Bible says the Holy Spirit will teach us all things. We are enabled with an unction from the Holy One. God, by His Spirit, enables us to recognize the truth when we hear it and see it.

It begins when God seeks a sinner, reveals the gift of eternal life through Christ, and brings that soul to salvation. Only those who have been redeemed and indwelt by the Holy Spirit can truly worship God, because worship must flow from the spirit and be grounded in truth. The Father is seeking worshippers whose hearts bow before Him, and the Spirit works to exalt Christ alone. The knowledge of God is man's greatest knowledge. We come to know the true and living God through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Read what the Bible says in 1 John 2:12-14. Take special notice of the phrase, "...ye have known him." We need to understand that this is written to all who know the Lord. Note the expressions, "little children," "young men," and "fathers." John is covering everyone in a local assembly. This has nothing to do with gender. He is writing about the stages of Christian development and growth.

This is message 12 in Gospel Record of John John 4:27-42 God often uses the simple testimony of a changed life to draw others to Christ. When a person truly meets the Savior, priorities shift, shame gives way to boldness, and silence turns into witness. Sharing what Christ has done does not require training, eloquence, or long explanations, only honesty and faithfulness. While believers can easily become distracted with daily concerns, the work of reaching souls is urgent and ready now. A sincere testimony points people to Jesus, invites them to hear Him for themselves, and leaves the work of saving in His hands, where it belongs.
