Insight for Living Daily Broadcast - God’s Invisible Providence, Part 1
With remarkable literary skill, the author of Esther recorded God’s work on behalf of His people without once mentioning God’s name. As we begin our journey through Esther, we sharpen our theological lens to see God’s invisible hand moving people and events. Scripture itself helps us interpret His providence, showing how He accomplishes His purposes through ordinary people. Pastor Chuck Swindoll teaches us not to fear the dark storm but to trust God’s grace. Even when providence seems to frown, behind it rests the smile of a faithful God, working all things for the good of His people.

Our Daily Bread Podcast | Our Daily Bread - No Fear of an Apocalypse
In 1859, the largest solar storm in recorded history took place. Known as the Carrington Event, it produced a massive geomagnetic disturbance blamed for disrupting the telegraph system. The website Space.com says, “It’s been conjectured that a storm on the scale of the Carrington event, if it happened today, could cause an internet apocalypse.” The ominous word apocalypse intrigues us. It’s the Greek title of the book of Revelation (apokalupsis). But the word doesn’t only mean a catastrophe or the end of the world. As the title Revelation implies, it also refers to an unveiling, a revealing. The book opens, “The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place” (Revelation 1:1). Revelation reveals Jesus as the Lamb of God, a term John uses more than twenty-five times in Revelation to describe Him. The book also reveals Christ as one whose “eyes were like blazing fire. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters” (vv. 14-15). When John first saw the Lamb of God, he “fell at his feet as though dead” (v. 17). But this Lamb touched him and said, “Do not be afraid. . . . I am alive for ever and ever!” (v. 18). Rather than fearing any apocalypse, we can embrace Revelation for showing us the glorified, resurrected Christ. He’s the one we worship.

Discover the Word Podcast - Tables in the Story of God - Week 1
Whether it’s in the Garden of Eden, Egypt, the wilderness, or a mountainside near the Sea of Galilee, God knows how to provide for His people. Let’s learn about the tables and meals in Scripture.Receive How lovely that the story of God happens around tables. From the farm-to-table picnic of lavish eating in the Garden of Eden, to the “fast food,” rushed meal during the first Passover, to God’s provision in the wilderness of heavenly food, on into the New Testament servings of a simple lunch to feed thousands, God delights in providing for His people. May we relish in knowing that God longs to fellowship with His people, including us, and a wonderful way He chooses to do so is to set a table for us. Reflect Read the verses connected with this episode below. As you reflect on the Scripture, what stands out to you? Genesis 1–3 Exodus 12:1–20 Exodus 16 Psalm 23:5 Matthew 14:13–21 Mark 6:30–44 Luke 9:13–17 John 6:1–13 How does Genesis 1:29–30 show God’s generosity toward Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden? How does the Passover lamb mentioned in Exodus 12:12–13 point to the coming of Jesus, the Lamb of God? What does Exodus 16:13-20 teach us about God’s willingness and ability to provide for His people even in the wilderness? Psalm 23:5 says God prepares a table for you even in difficult situations. How does that give you courage? How does the miracle of Jesus feeding the 5,000 with just a simple lunch found in Matthew 14:13–21, Mark 6:30–44, Luke 9:13–17, and John 6:1–13 encourage you that God can provide for your needs? Respond (Use this prayer to start a conversation with God) “Dear God, thank You for how You lovingly provide for Your people from generation to generation. Thank You for how You continue to faithfully provide for me. Help me to always believe that You alone can satisfy my every need.” Discover more about the topics in this episode with these recommended resources Mentioned in this episode: The Holy Land Series Listen: The Abundant God Sinners Dinners Read: <a h

In the Market with Janet Parshall - Best of In The Market with Janet Parshall: The Persian Storm
As a longtime student of Bible prophecy, Dr. Mark Hitchcock is convinced Iran will be a key player in bringing about future and final chaos in the Middle East. He will join us to share why Iran will continue to be dangerous, with his perspective rooted in the drama of Bible end-times prophecies. He focuses especially on the books of Jeremiah and Ezekiel, where the Bible records many predictions about the region known as Mesopotamia or Persia. These ancient prophecies are seen by many as predicting an end-time rise of Iran, as well as Russia and Turkey. Do these interpretations still hold true today? What about a possible invasion of Israel? Does Iran still plan to wipe Israel off the map? And what about the role of the United States in Bible prophecy? VOMRadio - PARENTS OF MISSIONARIES KILLED IN HAITI: "I Want to Point People to Jesus"
Last week, David and Alicia Lloyd, founders of Missions in Haiti, told the story of the day in 2024 when gangs attacked their ministry compound. When the attacks ended, David and Alicia's son, Davy, and their daughter-in-law, Natalie, had been murdered, along with their close friend and ministry partner, Judes Montis. Several weeks later, David returned to Haiti, assuring ministry coworkers and fellow believers that, despite the tragedy, they would not abandon Haiti and their brothers and sisters there. They also learned, from students and staff who'd been at the mission compound, about Davy and Natalie's last moments on earth. "Every time the shooting would stop, they could hear Davy quoting scriptures…They said his voice was very strong; it would echo," David says. "It was estimated there were 100 gang guys in our yard that night who heard the gospel." David and Alicia have struggled with losing their oldest child. They've wrestled with the question of where was the Lord in that dangerous moment? In the two years since that night, the Lord has been faithful to comfort and bless; they know He was with Davy. And even as they grieve, they desire to point others to Christ. Davy, Natalie, and Judes's legacy lives on. As their story has been told and re-told, more people around the world have prayed for Haiti. Please pray for David & Alicia Lloyd and their family, Judes's family, and for Haiti. Be challenged and encouraged to live your life for the Lord through David & Alicia's book coming out May 5th, Strong to the End: The Simple Service and Sudden Sacrifice of the Martyrs in Haiti (affiliate link). Our Daily Bread Podcast | Our Daily Bread - Prayer in Disguise
After the horrors of Auschwitz, Elie Wiesel lost his faith. “Where were you, God of kindness?” he asked, recalling the evil he and others suffered. “In my childhood I did not expect much from human beings. But I expected everything from you.” And yet, Wiesel realized later that his faith had never really left him. “It is because I believed in God that I was angry at God,” he told a journalist, “and still am.” You don’t get angry at someone you don’t believe exists. We might feel uncomfortable expressing anger at God, but biblical characters did. “You deceived me, Lord” Jeremiah cried (20:7). “Will you forget me forever?” David wrote (Psalm 13:1). “God has wronged me,” Job said (19:6). Unaware of Satan’s role in his misfortune, Job accused God of being cruel (10:3) and even subpoenaed Him to court (31:35)! While Job later discovered that his understanding was limited (42:3), it’s important to note God never rebukes his feelings. Despite his questions, Elie Wiesel prayed, “Let us make up. It is unbearable to be divorced from you so long.” We too might be angry at God for not limiting the suffering in our world, but our expressing it to Him can become prayer in disguise—keeping us close to the God who wants us to bring not just our praise, but our anger to Him too.

First Person with Wayne Shepherd - Batjargal Tuvshintsengel
He was born and raise in Mongolia, became a Christian, and witnessed the birth of the church in his country. Batjargal Tuvshintsengel joins Wayne Shepherd in conversation. (click for more...)Website: www.febc.org/where-we-work/mongolia/Born and raised in Mongolia under Soviet-era communist rule, Batjargal Tuvshintsengel first heard the gospel at age 20 through a British missionary who taught English using the Bible — a transformative moment that set him on a lifelong path of Christian ministry. He witnessed the remarkable birth of the church in Mongolia following the fall of communism, when the country suddenly opened to missionaries and the gospel for the first time in generations. Drawn to media from childhood, Batjargal channeled that background into ministry, helping launch Mongolia's first Christian FM radio station in Ulaanbaatar in 2001, which grew into a network of 17 stations reaching nomadic populations across the country via satellite. He credits this media ministry with supporting the growth of an estimated 650–700 churches and roughly 90,000 Christians in Mongolia. Now living back in Mongolia, Batjargal's vision for the future centers on equipping younger generations — particularly Gen Z — to become digital media evangelists, and on partnering media ministry with local churches to strengthen discipleship in an age increasingly shaped by AI and social media. VOMRadio - NIGERIA: "Jesus is My Savior. I Have No Regrets."
More than 50 people were killed during an attack on a Christian area in the city of Jos on Palm Sunday in Nigeria. More attacks occurred during Easter weekend. But not every attack on Nigerian Christians makes international news. Listen this week as Matthew Hanson, who leads The Voice of the Martyrs' work in West and Central Africa, explains how VOM responds to Christian persecution. He'll explain how VOM helps persecuted Christians meet immediate needs like food, clothing, and shelter; then also serves to assist with longer-term needs for emotional and spiritual healing. "We want to see both [physical and spiritual needs being met], because we want to see the church strengthened," Matthew says. Through gatherings where persecuted Christians share their stories and encourage one another, believers are equipped and inspired to continue boldly witnessing for Christ. Matthew shares how he and his team assess persecution in Nigeria and how VOM equips pastors to have a biblical understanding of suffering and persecution. Matthew also tells stories from the field, including that of a woman kidnapped and enslaved by Boko Haram, one of six jihadist groups currently attacking Christians in northern Nigeria. She told Matthew, "Each day, Jesus spoke to me and strengthened my faith, and I did not give up." He'll also tell about a young man who was passionate to study the Quran. As he studied, questions arose in his mind; he began to ask his teachers. But for a Muslim, asking too many questions can make one seem like an unbeliever, an infidel. The young man was threatened by his father but still committed his life to the Lord. He was forced to flee his village. He has sacrificed his home, his family and his safety. Yet he told Matthew, "Jesus is my Savior. I have no regrets."
