Ok y'all- for my Halloween episode(s) this year, I decided to take us on a trip to that fated Dutch Colonial Mansard-Roofed House of Horror with the Glowing Demonic Window/Eyes. I had never seen the fourth installment and first TVM iteration of the frenetic "Amityville Horror" franchise, 1989's AMITYVILLE HORROR: THE EVIL ESCAPES aka AMITYVILLE 4: THE EVIL ESCAPES aka A HIDEOUS GAY LAMP IS KILLING MY FAMILY. Y'all. Y'all!??! Y'ALL. The good news is that you can watch this jaw-dropper most anywhere: Tubi, Plex, Pluto, FreeVee, AMC+, Roku, YouTube, the CVS app, in the settings dial of a new Whirlpool dryer, if you stare long enough into a slightly spoiled container of macaroni salad from that questionable snack kiosk at the airport. The better news is that it is one of the most ridiculously hilarious, nonsensically kookoo-boots "movies" I've ever had the pleasure of covering on the pod. The best news: my guest is the delightful and deeply knowledgeable cutie- smartie Joshua Tonks, who I was a big fan of from my fave scary movie podcasts from the UK, "Evolution of Horror" and "Brain Rot."
