In this episode, 'the Scot' meets the one and only Emilia Quinn. We discuss Emilia's awesome album 'Dented Halos', how she writes and records her music, and how she writes her lyrics and I ask her whether or not the recording of these deeply personal lyrics, is a cathartic process or not.We also discuss the UK Country/ Americana scenes are, and what it's like being an unsigned artist these days. There are also discussions about the specific issues facing females in the industry as well as trying to balance out the business side of making music and the more creative elements. Scouser and The Scot meet Alan Savill of Ian's Chain Charity and Savfest
In this episode, we chat to the one and only Alan Savill from 'Ian's Chain Charity' who are a charity who have prevented at least 415 suicides since their inception in 2013. Born out of a family tragedy when Alan's son Ian took his own life. Both the charity and 'Savfest' a music festival that Alan and his Wife Wendy set up and run every year, exist to help people and to raise awareness about suicide and prevention of it. This is a guy who knows the subject matter both inside and out and both of us hosts, were absolutely blown away by him and what he and his wife and colleagues do. Scouser and The Scot - Lazy Fifty
in this episode we chat with Adrian from the band 'Lazy Fifty' and Kerry the manager of the band. The band are from New Zealand but moved to the UK last year and we discuss their history back in NZ, their achievements there, their reasons for moving to the UK and how that's panned out for them so far. One very interesting and refreshing part of their discussion is how they view the UK live rock scene. We do of course also put Adrian through the infamous ' Winner stays on' section of the podcast too.....with the usual results.

In this episode. We chat to Eric Faulkner, former guitarist and songwriter of the massively successful Scottish Band of the 1970s, the one and only Bay City Rollers. Eric talks about the early days in the Rollers, right through their most successful period in the 70s. He also gives us an insight into the troubles that the band had, the real reason why Les left the band, the way they were ripped off by management, record companies, and so much more and the fight he and the others have had, just to get the money they are owed from those heady times. He tells us about his life-threatening illness, which basically meant he lost 9 years of his career, and he brings us right up to date with his latest releases as well.This is a show for Rollers fans of old, for people who want to know more about the music industry and especially for musicians these days.
