Episode 7: Genesis: Isaac, Jacob, and Esau S5E7 – The Danger of Deception - Pastor Adam Stadtmiller

May 10, 2026 Sea Change Church Genesis: Isaac, Jacob, and Esau S5E7 – The Danger of Deception Pastor Adam Stadtmiller Genesis 27:14-24 14 So he (Jacob) went and took them and brought them to his mother, and his mother prepared delicious food, such as his father loved. 15 Then Rebekah took the best garments of Esau, her older son, which were with her in the house, and put them on Jacob her younger son. 16 And the skins of the young goats she put on his hands and on the smooth part of his neck. 17 And she put the delicious food and the bread, which she had prepared, into the hand of her son Jacob.  18 So he went in to his father and said, “My father.” And he said, “Here I am. Who are you, my son?” 19 Jacob said to his father, “I am Esau your firstborn. I have done as you told me; now sit up and eat of my game, that your soul may bless me.” 20  But Isaac said to his son, “How is it that you have found it so quickly, my son?” He answered, “Because the LORD your God granted me success.” 21  Then Isaac said to Jacob, “Please come near, that I may feel you, my son, to know whether you are really my son Esau or not.” 22 So Jacob went near to Isaac his father, who felt him and said, “The voice is Jacob's voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau.” 23 And he did not recognize him, because his hands were hairy like his brother Esau's hands. So he blessed him. 24 He said, “Are you really my son Esau?” He answered, “I am.”

Sea Change Church Genesis Series S5E6 Deceived By What You Perceived Pastor Joshua Pigg Genesis 27:1-13 1 When Isaac was old and his eyes were dim so that he could not see, he called Esau his older son and said to him, “My son”; and he answered, “Here I am.” 2 He said, “Behold, I am old; I do not know the day of my death. 3 Now then, take your weapons, your quiver and your bow, and go out to the field and hunt game for me, 4 and prepare for me delicious food, such as I love, and bring it to me so that I may eat, that my soul may bless you before I die.”5 Now Rebekah was listening when Isaac spoke to his son Esau. So when Esau went to the field to hunt for game and bring it, 6 Rebekah said to her son Jacob, “I heard your father speak to your brother Esau, 7 ‘Bring me game and prepare for me delicious food, that I may eat it and bless you before the LORD before I die.’ 8 Now therefore, my son, obey my voice as I command you. 9 Go to the flock and bring me two good young goats, so that I may prepare from them delicious food for your father, such as he loves. 10 And you shall bring it to your father to eat, so that he may bless you before he dies.” 11 But Jacob said to Rebekah his mother, “Behold, my brother Esau is a hairy man, and I am a smooth man. 12 Perhaps my father will feel me, and I shall seem to be mocking him and bring a curse upon myself and not a blessing.” 13 His mother said to him, “Let your curse be on me, my son; only obey my voice, and go, bring them to me.”

Episode 2: Future Glory: S1E2 - Echoes of Glory

April 19, 2026 Sea Change Church Future Glory: S1E2 - Echoes of Glory Pastor Adam Stadtmiller Matthew 17:1-9 ESV 1 And after six days Jesus took with him Peter and James, and John his brother, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. 2 And he was transfigured before them, and his face shone like the sun, and his clothes became white as light. 3 And behold, there appeared to them Moses and Elijah, talking with him. 4 And Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good that we are here. If you wish, I will make three tents here, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah.” 5 He was still speaking when, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him.” 6 When the disciples heard this, they fell on their faces and were terrified. 7 But Jesus came and touched them, saying, “Rise, and have no fear.” 8 And when they lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only. 9 And as they were coming down the mountain, Jesus commanded them, “Tell no one the vision, until the Son of Man is raised from the dead.” \

Episode 7: Sea Change Church Easter 2026 Jesus Appears to Mary Magdalene

April 5, 2026 Sea Change Church  Easter 2026 Jesus Appears to Mary Magdalene Pastor Adam Stadtmiller John 20:11-18 11 But Mary stood weeping outside the tomb, and as she wept she stooped to look into the tomb. 12 And she saw two angels in white, sitting where the body of Jesus had lain, one at the head and one at the feet. 13 They said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?” She said to them, “They have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid him.” 14 Having said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing, but she did not know that it was Jesus. 15 Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?” Supposing him to be the gardener, she said to him, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away.” 16 Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned and said to him in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means Teacher). 17 Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’” 18  Mary Magdalene went and announced to the disciples, “I have seen the Lord”—and that he had said these things to her.

Palm Sunday “The King They Wanted vs. The King We Need”

March 29, 2026 Sea Change Church Palm Sunday “The King They Wanted vs. The King We Need” Joe Brandi, Pastor & Missionary John 12:12-19 12 The next day the large crowd that had come to the feast heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem. 13 So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, crying out, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel!” 14 And Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it, just as it is written, 15 “Fear not, daughter of Zion; behold, your king is coming, sitting on a donkey’s colt!” 16 His disciples did not understand these things at first, but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things had been written about him and had been done to him. 17 The crowd that had been with him when he called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead continued to bear witness. 18 The reason why the crowd went to meet him was that they heard he had done this sign. 19 So the Pharisees said to one another, “You see that you are gaining nothing. Look, the world has gone after him.”

Episode 4: Genesis: Isaac, Jacob, and Esau S5E4: Reverse the Curse

March 15, 2026 Sea Change Church Genesis: Isaac, Jacob, and Esau S5E4: Reverse the Curse Pastor Harry WilsonGenesis 26:26-33 (CSB) 26 Now Abimelech came to him from Gerar with Ahuzzath his adviser and Phicol the commander of his army. 27 Isaac said to them, “Why have you come to me? You hated me and sent me away from you.” 28 They replied, “We have clearly seen how the Lord has been with you. We think there should be an oath between two parties—between us and you. Let us make a covenant with you: 29 You will not harm us, just as we have not harmed you but have done only what was good to you, sending you away in peace. You are now blessed by the Lord.” 30 So he prepared a banquet for them, and they ate and drank. 31 They got up early in the morning and swore an oath to each other. Isaac sent them on their way, and they left him in peace. 32 On that same day Isaac’s servants came to tell him about the well they had dug, saying to him, “We have found water!” 33 He called it Sheba. Therefore the name of the city is still Beer-sheba, today.Matthew 5:14-16: "You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven".

March 8, 2026 Sea Change Church Genesis: Isaac, Jacob, and Esau S5E3: Dig Your WellPastor Adam Stadtmiller Genesis 26:17-25 17 So Isaac departed from there and encamped in the Valley of Gerar and settled there. 18 And Isaac dug again the wells of water that had been dug in the days of Abraham his father, which the Philistines had stopped after the death of Abraham. And he gave them the names that his father had given them. 19 But when Isaac's servants dug in the valley and found there a well of spring water, 20 the herdsmen of Gerar quarreled with Isaac's herdsmen, saying, “The water is ours.” So he called the name of the well Esek, because they contended with him. 21 Then they dug another well, and they quarreled over that also, so he called its name Sitnah. 22 And he moved from there and dug another well, and they did not quarrel over it. So, he called its name Rehoboth saying, “For now the LORD has made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.” 23 From there he went up to Beersheba. 24 And the LORD appeared to him the same night and said, “I am the God of Abraham your father. Fear not, for I am with you and will bless you and multiply your offspring for my servant Abraham's sake.” 25 So he built an altar there and called upon the name of the LORD and pitched his tent there. And there Isaac's servants dug a well.

Episode 1: Sea Change Over Time Podcast: Legal Authority In Christ Over Demonic Attack

This podcast explores the authority believers have in Jesus Christ to walk in spiritual freedom and to close any permission structures opened through sin, agreement, fear, or ungodly choices.Using the Book of Job as a framework, we examine the biblical picture of God as righteous Judge, the reality of heavenly courts, and the spiritual parameters that govern freedom or oppression. Scripture reveals that demonic activity does not operate randomly; it functions within boundaries established under God’s sovereign authority.Through both Old and New Testament context, we unpack how believers—through repentance, confession, forgiveness, renunciation, and faith in Christ—can revoke legal access given to the enemy and stand in the finished work of the Cross. This is not about fear or superstition, but about understanding the judicial nature of God’s Kingdom, the supremacy of Christ, and the practical application of our spiritual authority to live free from accusation, oppression, and spiritual harassment. At its core, this podcast teaches that Jesus is not only Savior and Healer, but Advocate and Intercessor—securing our standing before the Father and empowering us to enforce the victory He has already won.

Learning Curve Proverbs: Ancient Wisdom for a Modern World S4E4: The Woman Who Fears the Lord Pastor Adam Stadtmiller Proverbs 31:10-31 10 An excellent wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels. 11 The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he will have no lack of gain. 12 She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life. 13 She seeks wool and flax, and works with willing hands. 14 She is like the ships of the merchant; she brings her food from afar. 15 She rises while it is yet night and provides food for her household s and portions for her maidens. 16 She considers a field and buys it; with the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard. 17 She dresses herself with strength and makes her arms strong. 18 She perceives that her merchandise is profitable. Her lamp does not go out at night. 19 She puts her hands to the distaff, and her hands hold the spindle. 20 She opens her hand to the poor and reaches out her hands to the needy. 21 She is not afraid of snow for her household, for all her household are clothed in scarlet 22 She makes bed coverings for herself. Her clothing is fine linen and purple. 23 Her husband is known in the gates when he sits among the elders of the land. 24 She makes linen garments and sells them; she delivers sashes to the merchant. 25 Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. 26 She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. 27 She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. 28 Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: 29 “Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.” 30 Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. 31 Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates.

January 11, 2026 Sea Change Church Learning Curve: A Study of Proverbs S4E2: The Best Laid Plans Pastor Adam Stadtmiller Proverbs 16:1-9 ESV 1 The plans of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the LORD. 2 All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but the LORD weighs the spirit 3 Commit your work to the LORD, and your plans will be established. 4 The LORD has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble. 5 Everyone who is arrogant in heart is an abomination to the LORD; be assured, he will not go unpunished. 6 By steadfast love and faithfulness iniquity is atoned for, and by the fear of the LORD one turns away from evil. 7 When a man's ways please the LORD, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. 8 Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues with injustice. 9 The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps.

    Are You a Paco?

Everyone longs for a true father. In this week’s message, we explore what it means to have a father’s heart—and how God, the ultimate Father, provides identity, direction, provision, and protection for His children.Through Scripture, we see that the role of a father is not just about earthly family but also about spiritual leadership within the Church. The Bible reminds us that while there are many teachers, there are few true fathers in Christ (1 Corinthians 4:15). God is calling us to grow into maturity so that we can reveal His heart to others. We’ll also reflect on the incredible love of the Trinity—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—and how their eternal fellowship invites us into a relationship of love, security, and joy.No matter what you’re facing—guilt, mistakes, or struggles—you can confess the truth that your Heavenly Father is with you, always present and ready to help.📖 Key Scriptures: Ephesians 3:15 • Proverbs 12:10 • John 3:16 • Jeremiah 31:20 • Philippians 1:8 • Romans 8:15 • Galatians 4:6 • 1 Corinthians 4:15🙏 Questions for Reflection: How do your inner thoughts reflect (or contradict) Jesus’s promise to be with you always? Have you experienced the love of someone with a father’s heart in Christ? What does it mean that the Gospel is always Trinitarian?

    Walking With A Limp

Walking With a Limp | Elijah: Drought to Downpour – S1E6 Pastor Adam Stadtmiller | Sea Change Church | Sept. 21, 2025How long will you waver between two opinions? In 1 Kings 18, Elijah confronts Israel’s divided heart on Mount Carmel, calling them to stop “limping” between loyalties and choose who they will serve. God is searching for people who walk with undivided allegiance, not half-hearted devotion.🙏 Big Idea: God is searching for people who don’t limp between loyalties, but live in solitary allegiance to Him.📖 Scripture Reference: 1 Kings 18:17–21📝 Key Themes: When sin blinds you, conviction feels like trouble. Elijah stood firm while Israel limped between allegiances. A showdown with idols is often the turning point toward full devotion. Christ calls us to decisive allegiance: “No one can serve two masters” (Matt. 6:24).

Mirror, Mirror – The Danger of Deceptive Discipleship

Is your faith something you live—or just something you hear?In Mirror, Mirror – The Danger of Deceptive Discipleship, Pastor Adam Stadtmiller dives into James 1:22–25 to uncover the trap of passive faith. God’s Word isn’t just meant to be heard—it’s meant to shape how we live.Like a mirror, Scripture reflects who we truly are. But if we walk away unchanged, we miss the blessing that obedience brings. A Righteous Anger

Is your anger leading you closer to God—or just reacting to the world? In A Righteous Anger, Pastor Adam Stadtmiller teaches from James 1:19–21, revealing that not all anger is bad—but not all anger is righteous either. James calls us to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger, because human reaction rarely produces God’s transformation.Anger can be a holy signal—but it must be filtered through the cross. True righteousness doesn’t rush in with rage; it slows down, listens up, and responds with the wisdom of Christ. To support this ministry and help us continue to reach people with the gospel, click here: https://seachangechurch.churchsuite.com/donate/📖 Scripture Reference: James 1:19–21#seachangechurch #stormproof #righteousanger #bookofjames #slowtoanger #faithinpractice #godlyresponse

    The Blessed Life

In The Blessed Life, Pastor Joe Brandi unpacks James 1:12–15, challenging our culture’s view of blessing as success, wealth, or ease. James redefines blessing as the favor of God resting on those who remain steadfast through trials.Temptation tries to pull us off course, but God’s true blessing comes as we endure with His help. And the good news? Jesus, the truly Blessed One, remained steadfast for us—so our blessing is found in Him, not in our own strength. To support this ministry and help us continue to reach people with the gospel, click here: https://seachangechurch.churchsuite.com/donate/📖 Scripture Reference: James 1:12–15#seachangechurch #stormproof #theblessedlife #steadfast #faiththroughtrials #bookofjames #jesusourhope

Wisdom Is There For The Taking

What if the wisdom you need is just one question away? In Wisdom Is There For The Taking, Pastor Adam Stadtmiller continues our Storm Proof series with a message from James 1:5–8. When life throws you into confusion, conflict, or complexity, God invites you to ask—not earn—His wisdom. He gives generously, without shame, to anyone who seeks Him.Doubt doesn’t disqualify you. In fact, it can be part of how your faith is formed. But double-mindedness—living with one foot in trust and the other in self-reliance—leaves us tossed around like waves in the sea. Episode 2: The Betrayal: The Upper Room Series

Jesus knew that one of His closest followers would betray Him, and it troubled His spirit. This moment highlights a sobering truth—we are all capable of abandoning Jesus in some way, whether through betrayal, denial, or fear. Jesus offering Judas the bread was an act of deep significance, recalling Old Testament themes of friendship and trust, yet Judas had already let his heart turn away. His love of money and personal ambition made small compromises grow into ultimate betrayal. Still, Jesus did not react with anger but allowed Judas to make his choice. This passage challenges us to examine our own hearts: Are we making small compromises that lead us away from Christ? Are we extending mercy to those who have wronged us, as Jesus did? True faithfulness requires guarding our hearts against sin, while true love calls us to show grace even in the face of betrayal.

Episode 7: The Struggle: The Story of Isaac

Life is full of struggles—physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual—but the key to handling them is trusting God instead of trying to control everything yourself. In Genesis 25:19-28, Jacob and Esau struggled even before they were born, showing that challenges are just part of life. What We Learn From This Story: Struggles Are Inevitable – We all face challenges in different ways: Worldly struggles – Competing for success and recognition. Family struggles – Tension between parents, siblings, or loved ones. Spiritual struggles – Wrestling with doubt, purpose, or God’s plan. Physical struggles – Health problems, pain, or exhaustion. Emotional struggles – Feeling anxious, lost, or forgotten. Jacob Made Life Harder for Himself – From birth, he grasped Esau’s heel, always fighting for position. He tricked his family but was later deceived himself. He played favorites with his own kids, causing division. Letting Go & Trusting God – Jacob’s life changed when he stopped striving and started surrendering to God (Genesis 32:26). God Fights for Us When We Trust Him – Instead of trying to handle everything on your own: Romans 9:10-13 – God’s plan is bigger than we understand. Exodus 14:14 – “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Reflection Questions: What are the biggest struggles in your life right now? How do you usually seek answers from God? In what ways do we make life harder for ourselves? What does it mean to let go and trust God in your own life? How can you stop fighting for control and start surrendering to God? Practical Steps: Recognize your struggles – Talk to God, read His Word, and seek wise advice. Let go of control – Trust that God knows what’s best for you. Shift from striving to surrendering – Instead of trying to fix everything, lean on God’s strength. Struggles will always be part of life, but God is bigger. Will you keep fighting for control, or will you trust God to lead the way?4o

Episode 6: The Birth of Jacob and Esau

In Genesis 25:19-28, we witness the power of prayer, God’s sovereignty, and the unfolding of a divine plan through the birth of Jacob and Esau. Isaac and Rebekah's story reminds us that God's blessings often come with both promise and struggle, requiring faith, perseverance, and a deep commitment to seeking Him in prayer.Key Themes: The Power of a Prayer-Filled Life – Prayer is not just a reaction to difficulties but a transformative force that brings about change. Two Types of Prayer: Intercession – Praying on behalf of others, as Isaac did for Rebekah’s barrenness. Inquisition – Seeking God’s wisdom and understanding, as Rebekah did when she sensed a struggle within her womb. Intercession Leads to Divine Intervention – Isaac’s prayer resulted in God granting a miracle, emphasizing that prayer is often the catalyst for breakthrough. Seeking God for Understanding – Rebekah didn’t just wonder about her situation; she actively inquired of the Lord, showing us the importance of seeking God when faced with confusion or struggle. Prayer as a Daily Discipline – Rather than only turning to prayer in crisis, believers are called to develop a habit of seeking God consistently through Scripture, wise counsel, and intentional quiet time. Reflection Questions: Why do people often turn to prayer only in crisis rather than making it a daily habit? What is one prayer you’ve seen answered in a way that strengthened your faith? How can we become more consistent in seeking God’s guidance before making big decisions? What are some practical ways to deepen our prayer life beyond just asking God for things? How has praying for others changed your perspective on their situation? Practical Steps: Make a Prayer List – Write down 10 intercessory prayers, ensuring that at least half focus on others. Identify Areas for God’s Wisdom – Choose five areas where you need clarity and actively seek God’s guidance through prayer, Scripture, and counsel. Develop a Prayer Habit – Schedule regular times for intercession and inquisition, making prayer a consistent part of daily life. This passage reminds us that prayer isn’t just about asking—it’s about aligning with God’s will, seeking His wisdom, and interceding for others. Are we willing to cultivate a prayer-filled life that leads to powerful transformation?

Episode 4: Isaac and Rebekah : The Story of Isaac

This sermon explores Genesis 24:1-4, 10-14, the story of how Isaac and Rebekah’s marriage came to be—a story rooted in faithfulness, prayer, and God’s steadfast love. Abraham, his servant, and Rebekah each demonstrate faithfulness in their own way, showing us how God blesses those who trust in Him.Key Themes: God Blesses Faithfulness – Abraham had seen God’s promises unfold, and now, in his old age, he ensured that faithfulness continued in the next generation. A Faithful Trifecta – Abraham, his servant (likely Eliezer), and Rebekah all play key roles in trusting God’s plan. Abraham remains committed to keeping Isaac in the promised land. The servant prays for clear guidance, relying on God’s ḥesed (steadfast love). Rebekah is chosen because of her servant’s heart—going above and beyond to serve a stranger. Knowing Your Forsaken Land vs. Your Promised Land – Abraham refused to let Isaac return to the land he left. This reminds us to recognize where God is calling us forward rather than backward. Reflection Questions: How does Abraham’s trust in God challenge the way we make big life decisions? How do we identify our own forsaken lands and avoid returning to them? The servant prayed specifically for guidance—how can we develop a habit of seeking God’s direction? Rebekah demonstrated faithfulness through her servant’s heart—how can we reflect that in our daily lives? Where have you seen God’s faithfulness in your life, and how does that encourage you to remain faithful? This passage reminds us that faithfulness is not just about waiting—it’s about action, trust, and obedience. As we seek God’s guidance, may we have the heart of Abraham, the faith of his servant, and the willingness of Rebekah.

Episode 3: Here I Am: The Story of Isaac

In this sermon, we examine Genesis 22:1-8, where God tests Abraham by asking him to sacrifice his son, Isaac. Abraham’s response, “Here I am,” reveals a heart fully surrendered to God’s calling. This moment reflects a larger biblical pattern of faith and obedience seen in figures like Moses, Samuel, and Isaiah, who also responded with “Hineni” (Here I am) when God called them.Through this passage, we explore two key themes: God Knows Your Name – Abraham had followed God for years, but it wasn’t until this moment that God called him by name. Scripture reminds us that God calls each of us personally, not as a number, but as His beloved. Cultivating a “Here I Am” Attitude – True faith requires surrender. Abraham trusted that God would provide, even in the most difficult test of his life. His willingness to say “Here I am” challenges us to consider how we respond to God’s call in our own lives. Reflection questions for personal or group study: What does Abraham’s response teach us about faith and trust in God? Why do you think God called Abraham by name for the first time in Genesis 22:1? How does the concept of “Hineni” apply to our daily walk with God? What are some things in your life that might challenge your willingness to say “Here I am” to God? How does Abraham’s trust in God’s provision encourage us in our own faith journey?
