The first three verses around the captives being set free, the prisoners being released, the broken hearted being restored then it comes to verse 4 then “they” will rebuild. Who is they? All the broken people who received miracle!The light shines so that we can be a city on a hill that can’t be hidden. Jesus didn’t say you’re the light of the church. He said you’re the light of the world. There are 2 Kingdoms, the kingdom of darkness and the kingdom of light Gods Kingdom is in heaven but it is also possible to have Gods Kingdom on earth. The Lord’s prayer says, Let your Kingdom come, thy will be done. We are going to look at The benefits of being Kingdom believers and the promises in Isaiah 61. Welcome to 2022!! As a church, we have been given a heavenly mandate, A Vision, which is Isaiah 61. From this chapter came the 7R’s. Refuge, Rejoicing, Righteousness, Restoration, Reaping, Revival & Righteousness. The Bible tells us God spoke the world into existence: “Let there be light….”; “Let us make man in our own image…”. The book of Isaiah confirms this in chapter 55 verse 11 (ESV):So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent.So what does this mean for us today as Christians? As Children of God we carry a lot of power in that pink jelly-like muscular organ in our mouths (proverbs 18:21). God is a God of Restoration.
