    Prophet, Priest, & Judge | David on the Run, Part 2, 1 Sam 21:10-15 | Week 31

In this passage, David is running for his life and ends up in Gath; the very place where his enemies live. To escape, he does something unexpected: he pretends to be insane. It’s not a moment of strength, but a moment of weakness that God still uses to preserve him. Following God doesn’t always look impressive or logical. Sometimes obedience in the middle of fear looks strange to the world. But faith means learning to follow Christ through fear rather than letting fear control us. The real question is: What are you doing with your fear? Will you trust God through it like David, or be ruled by it like Saul?

  2. 422

    Prophet, Priest, & Judge | David on the Run, Part 1, 1 Sam 21:1-9 | Week 30

In 1 Samuel 21, David is desperate and on the run, and instead of seeking the Lord, he relies on his own plan. God still provides food and a weapon, not because David planned well, but because God is merciful. This passage challenges us to examine how often we try to save ourselves, and how easily we can treat holy things as tools instead of gifts meant to draw us to worship. God provides, even in our weakness, but He calls us to repentance, reverence, and deeper trust in Him. “So the priest gave him the holy bread…” – 1 Samuel 21:6

  3. 421

    Prophet, Priest, & Judge | Jonathan Protects David, 1 Sam 20 | Week 29

This passage shows a powerful contrast between loyalty to people and loyalty to God. Jonathan had every reason to protect his family’s throne, but instead, he chose God’s plan, even when it cost him. This message reminds us that God’s Kingdom is built on covenant, not convenience. Sometimes following God means letting go of status, approval, or comfort so His purposes can move forward. The question for all of us is simple: When obedience to God costs something, will we still choose Him? Scripture: 1 Samuel 20

Ask Me Anything... Gifts Of The Spirit

Our discussion on the gifts of the Spirit

  5. 419

    Prophet, Priest, & Judge | God's Protection, 1 Sam 19:18-24 | Week 28

In this passage, Saul repeatedly tries, and fails, to destroy David. Each time, God uses community, Jonathan, Michal, and Samuel, to protect what He has called and anointed. This message reminds us that God often preserves our faith and calling through His people. We are not meant to fight spiritual battles alone. When we pray for one another, know the Word, and act in love, we become instruments of God’s protection. If God is for us, who can be against us? “The Lord is with you…” – 1 Samuel 19

  6. 418

    christian-joy-community-part-2

Forgiveness isn’t optional in the life of a believer; it’s essential. Not just for personal peace, but for the health and witness of the community God is building. This message will challenge us to walk in the kind of forgiveness that doesn’t retreat from conflict, but leans in with grace, humility, and a commitment to stay connected. A forgiven person must be a forgiving person, because real community can’t survive without it. “Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” – Colossians 3:13

  7. 417

Christian Joy | Community Part 1

James 2 confronts a hard but necessary truth, partiality has no place in the people of God. We're called not to favor the powerful or overlook the overlooked, but to live out the royal law: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” If the Church is going to be a true community, we must reflect the heart of a God who shows no partiality. Real community isn’t built on preferences; it’s built on love. “So speak and so act as those who are to be judged under the law of liberty.” – James 2:12

  8. 416

Prophet, Priest, & Judge | David, Michal, and Saul, 1 Sam 18:17-30 | Week 26

In this passage, Saul tries to trap and destroy David through manipulation and war, but none of his plans succeed. Why? Because God’s favor always outweighs human opposition. David's rise wasn’t fueled by strategy, strength, or status; it was powered by God's anointing. And that same favor rests on all who walk with Him. Go forward with confidence. Advance the kingdom. The King is with you. “David had more success... so his name was highly esteemed.” – 1 Samuel 18:30

  9. 415

    Prophet, Priest, & Judge| David, Jonathan, and Saul | 1 Sam 18:1-16 | Week 25

In this passage, we witness the beginning of a powerful friendship between David and Jonathan, while Saul’s jealousy also begins to grow. But even in the face of envy, opposition, and fear, one truth stands firm: God’s plans cannot be stopped. No matter what schemes come from the hands of men, God will prevail through His anointed one. His purposes will always move forward, then, now, and forever. “The Lord was with David…” – 1 Samuel 18:12

  12. 412

    Christmas Sunday

This week we’re in John 1, looking at why the Incarnation matters, not just as a seasonal truth, but as the foundation of our salvation. Jesus didn’t just come, He came as fully God and fully man. Only God could redeem us. Only a man could succeed where Adam and Israel failed. Christmas means more than a manger scene; it means the eternal Word stepped into history to save us. “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us…” – John 1:14

  13. 411

    Prophet, Priest, & Judge | Saul’s Court, 1 Samuel 16:14-23 | Week 23

YouTube Addition: In this passage, Saul is tormented, God’s Spirit has left him, and his kingdom is unraveling. But in the shadows, a young David is faithfully preparing. He’s not on the throne yet, but he’s already carrying the Spirit of God, and when the moment comes, his obedience, humility, and skill open the door to God’s greater plan. This message is a sobering reminder: don’t miss the lesson of Saul. Judgment is real. But so is the quiet preparation of the Spirit. Be like David, faithful in the background, ready when God calls. “The Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul… but the Lord was with David.” – 1 Samuel 16

  14. 410

    Prophet, Priest, & Judge | David Appointed King, 1 Samuel 16:1-13 | Week 22

YouTube Addition: In 1 Samuel 16, God sends Samuel to anoint David, an unlikely candidate with nothing impressive on the outside but everything God was looking for on the inside. This story reminds us that God doesn’t see as man sees; He chooses hearts that are willing, surrendered, and ready. If you’ve been holding onto a past season, a failed plan, or a personal disappointment, this is your invitation: Release what God has rejected. Embrace what He’s preparing. The next move of God might already be in front of you. “The Lord sees not as man sees…” – 1 Samuel 16:7

  15. 409

    Treasures in Heaven| Matthew 6:19-21

This week’s message is all about eternal investment. Jesus calls us to store up treasure in heaven, not in things that fade, but in things that last forever. The truth is, we may never fully see the return on our time or our giving this side of eternity… but one day, we will. And when we do, it’ll be worth every second and every sacrifice. We’re not just giving, we’re building. Let’s Build the Church.

  16. 408

    Prophet, Priest, & Judge | Saul Rejected, 1 Samuel 15 | Week 21

In 1 Samuel 15, Saul disobeys a direct command from God, and the consequences are devastating. God takes our disobedience seriously, and so should we. This message will help us examine why we disobey, whether it’s pride, misunderstanding, or a lack of trust, and call us to a deeper relationship with God where His wisdom shapes our will. If our hearts remain cold toward the consequences of sin, it’s time to ask God to show us the truth and renew our faith in the gospel.

  17. 407

    Thanksgiving Service

This Sunday isn’t just about giving thanks, it’s about remembering. We’ll gather for our final Thanksgiving celebration in this building, and we’re marking the moment with a special service reflecting on the years of faithfulness, growth, and grace we've experienced here. From the very beginning to today, God has been so good, and we want to honor His hand through it all.Let’s fill this house with gratitude one more time. “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.” – Psalm 107:1

  18. 406

    Prophet, Priest, & Judge | Jonathan’s Bold Faith, 1 Samuel 14:1-23 | Week 19

In 1 Samuel 14, Jonathan and his armor-bearer take a bold leap of faith. Just the two of them against a Philistine army. But with hearts fully entrusted to God, their small step led to a miraculous victory. When faith is activated through prayer and right motives, the impossible becomes possible. Don’t wait for the numbers, trust God, step out, and believe for the miraculous.

  19. 405

    Prophet, Priest, & Judge | Sauls' Foolish Vow, 1 Samuel 14:24-52 | Week 20

In this chapter, Saul makes a foolish vow and chases achievement at the cost of wisdom, and it marks the beginning of the end of his leadership. His story reminds us: just because something looks like success doesn’t mean it’s from God. If your hope rises and falls with earthly leaders, you may be living in their kingdom more than His. Put your trust in the King who never fails.

  20. 404

    Prophet, Priest, & Judge | Saul's First Sin,1 Sam 13:1-23| Week 18

In 1 Samuel 13, Saul’s impatience costs him everything. Instead of waiting for Samuel, he takes matters into his own hands and shows what happens when fear overrides faith. Don’t rush what God has promised. True obedience means trusting His timing, even when pressure mounts and answers feel delayed.

  21. 403

    Prophet, Priest, & Judge | Samuel's Farewell, 1 Sam 12:1-25 | Week 17

In 1 Samuel 12, Samuel steps down as Israel’s leader, but not without reminding the people of who God is and what He’s done. Even after failure, God still delights to save. Don’t be afraid, remember His character, trust His forgiveness, and keep walking in obedience. His faithfulness is your foundation

  22. 402

Christian Joy: God's Faithfulness, Part 2

In Matthew 6, Jesus reminds us that if God cares for the birds and flowers, He’ll surely care for us too. His faithfulness isn’t just comforting, it’s our defense against anxiety. But when we don’t trust Him, we risk missing out on His promises and misrepresenting His goodness to the world. Let’s live lives that show peace is possible, because we know who holds tomorrow.

  23. 401

Christian Joy: God's Faithfulness, Part 1

We’re continuing our series on Christian Joy, but this week we’re zooming in on the faithfulness of God. From creation to the cross, and even in our lowest moments. God’s steadfast love has never failed. Let this message lead you to joy rooted not in your circumstances, but in the unchanging character of a faithful God. Scripture focus: 1 John 1:8–9 • Romans 5:7–8 • Romans 3:1–4 • Psalm 136:23–26

  24. 400

    Prophet, Priest, & Judge | Defeating the Ammonites, 1 Sam 11:1-14 | Week 16

At first glance, it’s Saul’s first military victory. But look closer, this is a prophetic picture of Christ defeating the enemy, breaking the chains of bitterness, and leading His people into freedom. Don’t let unforgiveness take root. Follow the King who won the victory on the Cross and still leads us in triumph today.

  25. 399

Prophet, Priest, & Judge | Long Live the King, 1 Sam 10:17-27 | Week 15

In this message from 1 Samuel, Saul is publicly announced as Israel’s king, a decision rooted in the people’s demand, not God’s design. But even in their rejection, God responds with mercy. If you’ve made poor choices or drifted from God’s will, take heart: you can be honest about where you are, and still move forward by trusting in His faithfulness.

  26. 398

    Prophet, Priest, & Judge | Saul Anointed, 1 Sam 10:1-16 | Week 14

In 1 Samuel 10, Saul is anointed as Israel’s first king, but he’s not sent out on his own. God confirms the call, empowers him with signs, and transforms his heart by the Spirit. When God calls, He also equips. Trust His hand on your life, yield to His Spirit, and walk boldly in the mission He’s given you.

  27. 397

    Prophet, Priest, & Judge |The New King, 1 Sam 9:1-27 | Week 13

Saul thought he was just chasing donkeys, but God was directing every step. In 1 Samuel 9, we see how God speaks to Samuel and sets Saul apart as Israel’s first king. Even with Saul’s flaws and failures, God still worked out His will. That’s good news for us, too: God is always working, even in spite of us.

  28. 396

    Prophet, Priest, & Judge |Rejecting God, 1 Sam 7:15-8:22 | Week 12

In this week’s message, Israel demands a king to be “like the nations,” rejecting God as their true King. But even in their rebellion, God’s redemptive plan keeps moving forward. Substitutes always disappoint, but Jesus, the true King, gives freedom, life, and leadership we can trust. Surrender fully to Him; He’s the only one worthy of the throne.

  29. 395

    Prophet, Priest, & Judge |Repentance and Deliverance, 1Sam 7:3-14| Week 11

In this week’s message, we see Israel experience real spiritual renewal. Under Samuel’s leadership, they cast away idols, return to the Lord, and watch as God delivers them and restores peace. True victory still comes the same way today, when we repent fully, trust deeply, and remember His faithfulness every step of the way.

  30. 394

Christian Joy | Hope Part 2

In 1 Peter 1:3-9, we’re reminded that our hope in Jesus isn’t just something we understand, it’s something we live. Hope should shape how we speak, how we carry ourselves at home and at work, and how we respond when life gets hard. Real hope doesn’t just look good on paper; it’s meant to be seen, heard, and felt by the world around us.

  31. 393

Christian Joy | Hope Part 1

The world offers a lot of false hope, but in Christ, we have a hope that’s unshakable. 1 Peter 1:3-9 reminds us that our hope isn’t wishful thinking; it’s a guarantee from the God who has never broken a promise. Put your hope in Jesus, you won’t be disappointed.

  32. 392

    Prophet, Priest, & Judge |Returning the Ark, 1 Sam 6:1-7:2| Week 10

The Ark is finally returned to Israel, but the real question isn’t where the Ark is; it’s where the hearts of God’s people are. God’s presence isn’t something we manage or manipulate; it demands reverence, not ritual. It’s time to stop going through the motions and return to Him with awe, surrender, and wholehearted devotion.

  33. 391

    Prophet, Priest, & Judge |Yahweh is Greater, 1 Sam 5:1-12| Week 9

This week, we’re in the story of what happened when the Philistines took the Ark, and things went downhill fast. Their god fell face down, their cities were struck, and the message was clear: God doesn’t share His throne. It’s time to turn from the idols we’ve trusted and stand in reverent awe of the one true God, because His judgment is real, and so is His mercy.

  34. 390

    Prophet, Priest, & Judge |The Death of Eli, 1 Sam 4:12-22 | Week 8

This week’s message brings us to one of the most devastating moments in Israel’s history: the Ark is captured, Eli dies, and the glory departs. But the loss of God’s presence wasn’t sudden; it was the result of years of compromise. Church, it’s time to honor God in our homes and hearts, not just our routines. Even in judgment, God is preparing His next move.

  35. 389

    Prophet, Priest, & Judge |Woe to us!, 1 Sam 4:1-11| Week 7

In this week’s message, we look at Israel’s stunning defeat in 1 Samuel 4, even with the Ark of the Covenant in their hands. Why? Because God’s presence isn’t a good luck charm. He can’t be controlled or used for our gain. True victory comes when we walk in obedience and reverence before Him.

  36. 388

    Prophet, Priest, & Judge |Samuel's Call, 1 Sam 3:1-21 | Week 6

We’re in the story of God calling young Samuel—and it’s a reminder that God doesn’t wait for us to have it all together. He meets us where we are, calls us anyway, and handles what we can’t. So walk boldly, even when you feel small—because He’s the one doing the heavy lifting.

  37. 387

    Prophet, Priest, & Judge | A House Rejected, 1 Sam 2:27-36 | Week 5

This week, we’re in a heavy but important passage—God sends a prophet to confront Eli and his sons for choosing self over honoring Him. God’s grace is real, but so are the consequences when we ignore it. This is a wake-up call to live with reverence, honor God above all, and remember: His will always wins.

  38. 386

    Prophet, Priest, & Judge | Worthless Sons,1 Sam 2:12-26 | Week 4

This week, we’re looking at a powerful contrast—how God responds to unbelief vs. faithful worship. One leads to life and reward, the other to judgment. It’s a cautionary reminder: how we respond to God matters. Let’s be people who honor Him with our lives, not just our lips.

  39. 385

Tithing: A Right View of Missions| Week 4

We’re looking at what it really means to invest in what matters. Jesus taught that our money follows our values so if we care about lasting impact, it should show in how we live and give. This message is about shifting our focus from short-term stuff to things that make a difference forever, our growth. Let’s rethink our financial faithfulness in light of God’s design for His Church.

  40. 384

Tithing: A Right View of Laborers| Week 3

We’re talking about something that’s both biblical and practical—supporting those who serve in ministry. Scripture says the worker is worthy of their wages, and our giving isn’t just obedience—it’s a blessing to the Church and to ourselves. This isn’t about guilt—it’s about growth. Let’s rethink our financial faithfulness in light of God’s design for His Church.

  41. 383

Tithing: A Right View of Church| Week 2

This week, we’re talking tithing—and how it reveals the way we see the church. Is it God’s house or just another stop on your weekly to-do list? When we give, we’re not just funding a building—we’re fueling a mission. Let’s shift from consumers to co-laborers and give in a way that honors Jesus. Listen in to hear more.

  42. 382

Tithing: A Right View of Money| Week 1

We’re talking about money, but not the way the world does. God owns it all, and we’re called to use it for His purposes, not just our own. Ready for a heart check? Let’s learn what it really means to store up treasure in heaven! Listen to hear more!

  43. 381

    Prophet, Priest, & Judge | Hannah's Prayer, 1 Sam 2:1-1| Week 3

  44. 380

    Prophet, Priest, & Judge | Dedicating Samuel, 1 Samuel 1:21-28 | Week 2

We’re back in 1 Samuel, and Hannah’s story takes a powerful turn. She follows through on a tough promise and gives her son to serve the Lord. What does real faith look like when it’s hard?
