The Bodega
“The Bodega” opens with Lujan’s guitar Harpsichord and flute enter together with a refreshing melody line floating atop Korostinsky’s bass line. Axelrod-esque hits bring the heavy head nod that you might find in Davide Sorrenti’s 1990s ‘Heroin chic’ photography that was so popular at the time. Finally, fuzzy drums wrap up the groove.

Delicatessen
“Delicatessen” starts off with a heavy drum break complete with electric bongos. A drifty Casiotone keyboard and 12-string electric guitar lead an off-kilter melody while thick bass and fuzz guitar then take center stage for an ear-bending trip. A crunchy, jazz flute solo takes the song to another level.

AMORE MIO AIUTAMI OST
Originally released in 1969 on RCA Original Cast / General Music Sonor Music Editions proudly presents the definitive reissue of Piero Piccioni’s often unheralded soundtrack to the 1969 bittersweet Italian comedy classic Amore Mio Aiutami (Help Me, My Love), starring two giants of Italian cinema, Monica Vitti and Alberto Sordi. This soundtrack is a prime example of Piccioni’s immense talent as a composer of timeless, lushly orchestrated lounge music — a masterpiece of its era that rightfully deserves its place alongside his most cherished works from the same period, such as Colpo Rovente, Camille 2000, Appassionata, Il Dio Sotto La Pelle, and Travolti Da Un Insolito Destino Nell’Azzurro Mare D’Agosto (Swept Away). In recent years, it has found new life in the age of streaming, being extensively rediscovered and sampled within the hip-hop and lo-fi communities. Maestro Piero Piccioni remains one of the brightest shining stars among Italian composers from the golden age of cinema, soundtracks, and library music. With a prolific career that includes more than 300 film scores, Piccioni began his journey in the world of cinema in Rome during the 1950s. At the time, he was practicing law but soon began composing for film, developing a particularly close working relationship with directors Francesco Rosi and Alberto Sordi. Among his vast body of work—especially his collaborations with Sordi—Amore Mio Aiutami stands at the pinnacle of Piccioni’s oeuvre, showcasing his style of composition and production. The score moves seamlessly from sophisticated bossa and lounge pieces like “Amanda Strain,” “North Pole Penguin,” and the versions of “Bossa Per Alberto” (the latter not included on the original 1969 RCA Records KOLS 1007 release)—performed with a smaller jazz combo—to dreamy vocal pieces by Nora Orlandi and her choir, including “Miss Luna Special,” “Luna Amore E.… No,” and “Luna Non Sei Nessuna,” featuring British actress and dancer Gloria Paul. The highlight, however, perhaps remains the pastoral main theme, where romantic strings intertwine with Piccioni’s unmistakable sound and bittersweet melodies — forever linked to Italian Commedia all’italiana films, of which Amore Mio Aiutami is a prime example. This revitalized reissue of Piero Piccioni’s Amore Mio Aiutami soundtrack has been carefully remastered by Jonathan Dakers, lacquer-cut by Jukka Sarapää at Timmion Cutting, and packaged in a thick cardboard tip-on sleeve with fully restored artwork. It also includes two versions of “Bossa Per Alberto” as bonus tracks.

IO E MARA
A Milan-born multi-instrumentalist of Venetian heritage, Alberto Baldan Bembo was a gifted vibraphonist, organist, pianist, arranger, and composer whose work bridged jazz, pop, and film music. By the early 1960s, he was performing with Italy’s leading ensembles, including I Menestrelli del Jazz and Bruno De Filippi’s group, and soon became an in-demand session musician. For several years, he toured with the legendary Mina, providing the piano and organ backbone to her live shows—a role that sharpened the cinematic sensibility and refined musicianship that would later define his soundtrack work. In the years to come, he would be celebrated for his scores to films such as L’Amica Di Mia Madre (1975) and Lingua Argento (1976), earning a place alongside Piero Umiliani, Alessandro Alessandroni, Berto Pisano, and other luminaries of Italy’s golden age of soundtrack and library music. Io E Mara is the soundtrack to a film that was never made. Originally released on the CGD label in 1969, this debut album from the brilliant Maestro Baldan Bembo is a sophisticated concept-album tracing 24 hours in the life of two young lovers. Told entirely through music, the record unfolds as a continuous suite of ten tracks, where cinematic lounge, bossa, and jazz flavors mingle to create a dreamlike atmosphere. Baldan Bembo’s signature piano and organ are masterfully complemented by Mara’s ethereal vocals, while immersive soundscapes of crashing waves, seagulls, and rain showers enhance the feeling of a deeply personal and intimate journey. A cast of exceptional musicians brings this vision to life, including Bruno De Filippi on electric guitar and sitar, Carlo Milano on electric bass, Rolando Ceragioli on drums, and Pasquale Liguori on sound effects. This singular work not only showcases the burgeoning talent of a future soundtrack master but also features the original pop art front cover by Italian cult illustrator Guido Crepax.

OFF THE GRID
The German guitarist, bandleader and soundscape architect JJ Whitefield has been an innovative force of the contemporary scene of Neo-Jazz-Kraut, and adjacent sub-genres within the world of organic grooves, ever since the early 1990s. The work with his group Poets of Rhythm drew the blueprint for what’s now known as retro-soul, and his creative canvas has never been blank since with numerous solo projects and collaborations across diverse constellations. 'Off The Grid' is yet another testament to JJ Whitefield’s creativity. The album perfectly connects the dots to the spirit of the golden age of library music waving together a rich tapestry of his world of playfulness, hypnotic grooves, and driving drums. It breathes new life into the genre while continuing to shape the future, as he has for over three decades.

PARASOL
The Natural Yogurt Band, a mysterious and surprising music project arising from English countryside, has beautifully constructed a musical Parasol with this new album—not just a traditional sunshade, but a metaphorical shield (“para” in Latin) against visual dischord, noise, the ultra sonic spectrum, and generally all things unwanted. Parasol, composed by Miles Newbold—one of the most unique and fascinating figures in the contemporary neo-library psychedelic jazz fusion scene—was recorded in rural Derbyshire, nestled between hills and trees. The result is unmistakably singular, carrying The Natural Yogurt Band’s wild yet perfectly balanced signature sound: raw-edged compositions, solid but fragile textures, and heavy drum. All of it is framed by Newbold’s exceptional and uncompromising production style, which functions, fittingly, as a parasol—a protective barrier against the modern world’s relentless disturbances.

UNDERGROUND
UNDERGROUND emerges from the same fertile creative period as "Overground," captured in 1970 at Dirmaphon Studios, Rome. This fascinating instrumental journey into Free Jazz and Psychedelic Library music was released in two volumes (RT 104 and RT 16) within weeks of each other, May and June of that year. These records, alongside "Overground," stand as compelling examples of the era's innovative soundscapes, featuring the exceptional talents of historical RAI TV session musicians.

COSÌ DOLCE.... COSÌ PERVERSA OST
Sonor Music Editions is happy to announce the vinyl reissue of Riz Ortolani's iconic soundtrack to the 1969 giallo thriller "Così Dolce... Così Perversa" (So Sweet, So Perverse). This highly sought-after score, composed by the legendary maestro behind "Mondo Cane," perfectly captures this obscure film's atmosphere of suspense, eroticism, and deception. Directed by Umberto Lenzi and starring Carroll Baker and Jean-Louis Trintignant, "Così Dolce... Così Perversa" is a stylish and thrilling film masterpiece from the Italian Giallo movies golden era. Ortolani's score is an essential ingredient in the film's success, with its haunting melodies, driving rhythms, and the unforgettable main theme, "Why?" featuring lyrics by Norman Newell. 24 years after its first vinyl release, this lost Italian soundtrack gets new life with a fresh reissue and fully remastered sound from the original master tapes, on a limited edition of 500 copies.

THE DIAMONDS FOUR
This exceptionally rare library album by Italian composer, musician, and guitarist Mario Molino was first released on the obscure library music imprint B.M.P. during the 1970s. It was later issued on the highly collectible Music Scene label rebranded as Action Beat Group (MSE-144), featuring different track titles and attributed to the pseudonym Luigi Ferracioli. Although much about him remains unknown to this day, Mario Molino was a prominent figure in the world library music, celebrated for his genre-spanning versatility. On one hand, he was a virtuoso classical guitarist, while on the other, he had a strong foundation in jazz and contemporary music. This duality, spanning from classical guitar solos to spaced out psychedelic rock with fuzzed guitars, eccentric funk-infused Hammond organ grooves, proto-hip hop, and orchestral compositions, is reflected in his discography. His catalog includes rare and sought-after releases like Antico e Moderno (C 364) on Fonit's Usignolo series, Love on Vroommm Records, Beat Gregoriano on Montecarlo, I Beats on Pentaphon, alongside numerous library and soundtracks releases. The Diamonds Four stands as a hidden gem in Molino's oeuvre, seamlessly aligning with his best releases, as it contains a superb blend of groovy psychedelic funk, breezy bossa nova, killer jazz beat tunes and expansive mood-music. With only a handful of original pressings ever surfacing over the years, The Diamonds Four (as well as the later issue as Action Beat Group) earned its status as a unique and widely valued record among library and soundtrack enthusiasts worldwide.

Originally released in 1979 as a promo-only item, “Aquarium Sounds” is a hybrid collection of tracks; some were used as the soundtrack to the thriller TV series “Così Per Gioco” (1979), directed by Leonardo Cortese; others from the talk show “Acquario” (1978-1979) hosted by Italian journalist and writer Maurizio Costanzo. The album also includes “Elena Tip” which features playful vocals by a young Ilona Staller (aka Cicciolina). Released on limited edition of 500 copies only.

OVERGROUND
Sonor Music Editions proudly presents this restored issue of Maestro Sandro Brugnolini's Overground. This elusive masterpiece in library music captures the most impressive work, alongside Underground (1970), of the Italian composer and alto sax player. Sandro Brugnolini was a prominent member of the Modern Jazz Gang, a famous Italian jazz group, during the 1950s and 60s, which also included Amedeo Tommasi, Cicci Santucci, and Enzo Scoppa. The group was active from 1956 to 1965 and produced some remarkable albums such as Miles Before And After (1960) and the original soundtrack from Gli Arcangeli (1962), which featured the renowned American jazz singer, Helen Merrill. Subsequently, he recorded many of the genre's most iconic releases, including Feelings (1974), albeit uncredited, and ventured into Psychedelic Lounge Funk and Progressive Jazz Beat tunes. Overground was released on Sincro Edizioni Musicali in 1970 as the soundtrack to Enrico Moscatelli and Mario Rigoni's documentary Persuasione, commissioned by Ente Provinciale Per Il Turismo Di Trento, a local tourism board in Italy, with music composed by Sandro Brugnolini and Luigi Malatesta featuring some of the best musicians in Italy at the time like Angelo Baroncini and Silvano Chimento on guitars, Giorgio Carnini on piano and organ, Enzo Restuccia on drums, and Giovanni Tommaso on bass and effects. The music spans from underground Psychedelic Prog. Rock with swirling organs, trippy effects, and distorted fuzz guitars to sophisticated Lounge grooves with Avant-garde orchestrations.

Awake - ASPETTI SOCIALI
The outstanding Rino De Filippi's "ASPETTI SOCIALI" under his famed moniker 'Awake', on the very elusive Vroommm label. A record that never surfaced around in the last years, like many from Vroommm, and which is a perfect proof of Maestro' De Filippi distinctive style, with also the uncredited participation of Giuliano Sorgini. A stunning work featuring many beautiful compositions on the same line of his best albums of the period like “Vacanze”, “Nel Mondo Del Lavoro”, “Meccanizzazione”, “Giardino Dei Miei Desideri” and “Tema Amore”. The crazy sleeve design reproduces image cuts of clashes and social unrest in Italy during 1970s. Enjoy the stunning Bossa Lounge theme “RIPRESA INDUSTRIALE” with its mind-blowing melodies and up-tempo bouncy rhythms. The killer hypnotic beats from “METROPOLI NEVROTICA”, the breezy harmonic Bossa on “ESCURSIONI TURISTICHE”, the moody baroque funky “GIOVENTU’ SCALPITANTE” and the unbelievable open drum breaks of “PALAZZO DEI CONGRESSI”. Stellar album!

Alessandro Alessandroni - OPEN AIR PARADE

Enriched by the unmistakable touch of bass virtuoso Giovanni Tommaso, who undoubtedly graced these sessions with his talent, this album transcends time with its killer sound and captivating arrangements. Alessandroni's Cantori Moderni chorus adds an extra layer of allure with their mesmerizing vocal themes, making this Italian Library monster an absolute mind-bender. Mix courtesy of TommyBoy

Piero Umiliani - A TEMPO DI JAZZ
Sonor Music Editions proudly presents "A TEMPO DI JAZZ" by Maestro Piero Umiliani. This lost gem captures the formative years of Modern Jazz in late 1950s Italy - alongside the legendary Basso-Valdambrini recordings in the early 1960s, as well as the early years of Piero Umiliani's long and prolific career as a composer with over 190 soundtracks, 40 library albums, and 35 TV title themes recorded. A TEMPO DI JAZZ includes seven original compositions by Piero Umiliani recorded in 1959. Here, at the age of 33, he lays a perfect ground with himself as a pianist, accompanied by some of the best Italian soloists at the time: Marcello Boschi on alto saxophone and flute, Ivan Vandor on tenor saxophone, Peppe Carta on bass, and the American trombonist Bill Gilmore. With plenty of room for improvisation, the sextet fuses Big Band moods with West Coast experimentation of Latin American rhythms and Modern Jazz ballads that sit perfectly between his soundtracks for the films "I Soliti Ignoti" (Big Deal on Madonna Street) from the same year that attained him international recognition, and his masterpiece "Smog" (featuring Chet Baker and Helen Merrill) from 1962. Five compositions are outtakes from Piero Umiliani's mega-rarity "Tempo Jazz", released on RCA Custom in 1960, while 'Tema In Blues' has been published on the two - impossible to obtain - 45 releases "Moderato Swing" (RCA Camden 45CP 112) and "Tema In Blues" (RCA Custom 45 R3) from 1960 as well as the previously unreleased track 'Mezza Cottura.' The music has been transferred and remastered from the original master tapes and lacquer cut in MONO, preserving the original sound of the recordings.

The whole suite recalls black counter-culture with free jazz arrangements signed by Maestro Brugnolini and improvisations performed by legendary musicians such as Gato Barbieri on tenor saxophone, Giovanni Tommaso on bass, and Franco Tonani on drums.

Giovanni Tommaso - INDEFINITIVE ATMOSPHERE
Giovanni Tommaso is the greatest Italian Jazz bassist and founder and member of the most important ever Italian Jazz Rock ensembles, the Perigeo band. He composed "INDEFINITIVE ATMOSPHERE" at the end of 1969, released a few months after in 1970 on Sermi label, and recorded it at Rca studios in Rome. "INDEFINITIVE ATMOSPHERE" represents a special album for him and for us as well, since it was his first album released as a sole composer/artist. The Maestro digged in personal archive for us and finally found a copy of the original master tape containing part of the recordings. Besides the misspelled title "Indefinitive" instead of "Indefinite", that became part of the legend here, this album was incredibly ahead of his time, with the young Maestro Tommaso playing electric bass and contrabass a in studio ensemble composed of 3/4 elements plus the strings section, with plenty of stunning Jazz-Funk, Jazz-Rock and Free Jazz tracks. The session is also known for including the legendary American Jazz soprano sax Steve Lacy on the track called "Steve", where he plays a sax solo. We entirely restored the full session from the original tapes found, and digitally remastered the sound for a greater sound experience, chasing the original analog source.

Ennio Morricone - "I DUE EVASI DI SING SING" OST
Sonor Music Editions proudly announces the first commercial release on vinyl (shortly followed by a CD edition) of Ennio Morricone's soundtrack to the film "I DUE EVASI DI SING SING" from 1964, directed by the legendary Lucio Fulci and starring the famed Italian comedy characters Franco Franchi and Ciccio Ingrassia. A bit away from what would have been his 92° birthday, the label presents a pseudo unreleased gem by the greatest all-time composer at the beginning of his career. This stunning recovery was possible thanks to the work of the producer Lorenzo Fabrizi (head of Sonor Music Editions) and the collaboration of Claudio Fuiano and Daniel Winkler, two significant connoisseurs in the field and maestro Morricone's discography. The album was originally released on an impossible-to-find promo-only library release in the late '60s with different titles, due to that the score remained concealed until now. With the recoup of the original MONO tapes Sonor was able to work with the original soundtrack sequence adding two bonus tracks from the original sessions. The music enhances the stories of two sloppy thiefs (Franchi and Ingrassia) in the styles of orchestral Jazz and Bossa Nova, with more sweet and cheerful themes built around the bewitching character of Gloria Paul. Mix courtesy of TommyBoy.

LA PROFESSORESSA DI SCIENZE NATURALI OST (SME 72) Music composed and directed by Alessandro Alessandroni Sonor Music Editions proudly presents the whole, previously unreleased soundtrack of the Italian erotic comedy cult "LA PROFESSORESSA DI SCIENZE NATURALI" movie from 1976, directed by Michele Massimo Tarantini. Starring the Italian sexy symbol Lilli Carati and filmed in the beautiful Ischia island, this incredible score by maestro Alessandro Alessandroni is part of the prolific sexy-comedy movement of Italian cinema between 1970s and 80s. Funky, groovy, erotic and flirtatious inspired sounds with the matchless '70s Italian taste sorrounded by unbelievable breaks and downtempo beats: this majestic soundtrack collects all the best Alessandroni's sounds in a unique release, giving a plenty range of outstanding grooves, wah-wah guitars, strings and orchestral arrangements, killer drums and so on. Limited edition 500 copies only, with tip-on sleeve and artwork designed by John Henriksson (Piano Piano Records). Mix courtesy of TommyBoy

Giancarlo Gazzani - MUSICA PER COMMENTI SONORI
Originally released in 1974 on Costanza Records CO 10010 (library series) Music by GIANCARLO GAZZANI, SANDRO BRUGNOLINI, STEFANO TOROSSI - composed and directed by Giancarlo Giazzani. An extraordinary Italian Library recording originally released on the lauded series “Musica Per Commenti Sonori” with a mispressed catalogue number. The unveiled twin session of Stefano Torossi’s legendary FEELINGS, this album features the same line-up, and same composers, with music and direction by Giancarlo Gazzani and compositions made by Sandro Brugnolini and Stefano Torossi himself. Upon its release, the label realized its mistake, and the album was immediately withdrawn. It is one of the most obscure Italian Library albums as a result. The music is similar to FEELINGS, ranging from jazz-funk to orchestral to experimental. This album has been repressed on 180gr. wax, and was remastered from the original master tapes. Edition of 400 copies. Mix courtesy of TommyBoy
