Sales Mastery from the Legendary Tom Hopkins! [S2, E1]
In my humble opinion...you aren't REALLY in sales, unless you've spent time in the teachings of Tom Hopkins. I've learned a great deal about sales and the choreography of a sales meeting from Tom, so I was especially delighted to have the opportunity to speak with him and get his take on how selling has been helped (or hindered) in the age of social media and how a sales professional can take their game (and earnings) to a higher level. Tom doesn't hold back in this conversation. Additionally, we'll hear Tom talk of his earliest days in real estate sales, his first encounter with his own sales mentor, J. Douglas Edwards...billed as "The Father of American Selling" and how his teachings helped Tom Hopkins become a master salesman and teacher. If you've ever spent time with Tom Hopkins at a live training, or via video or audio...or one of his many books like: HOW TO MASTER THE ART OF SELLING, you'll want to join Tom and I for this free-wheeling half hour chat. Enjoy! - Jim

Using On-line Marketing to Build a Brick and Mortar Business with with Chrysalyn Huff [S01 Ep10]
When producing season one of Street Savvy Marketer Podcast, I became acquainted with Chrysalyn and Jeff Huff, husband and wife owners of Restoration Emporium, a funky store filled with nick-knacks and unique treasures in the West Bottoms section of Kansas City, MO. These two started their empire in a dirty space, cleaned it up and through creativity, determination and a laser-focused understanding of their customer base, built a hugely successful business. How did they market this venture? Under Chrysalyn's marketing acumen, she found a local, loyal audience to market to via word of mouth, a lot of direct on-line marketing, e-mail and building alliances with television morning shows in Kansas City which provided expanded exposure and cemented her position as the expert in her field. The Huff's success in building their business caught the attention of Microsoft and they have (since this interview was recorded) opened a second location in the famed Country Club Plaza section of the city. Listen and discover how the Huff's built their following and business on this episode of The Street Savvy Marketer Podcast.

Office Clean-up with Lisa Woodruff [S01_Ep09]
Right off the top, Lisa Woodruff is a Godsend. WHY? Well, if you're like me, the paper on your desk can quickly overtake your work space. In my case...my lovely wife, Amanda would often come into my office, shake her head and say: "How can you find anything in here? Let me tidy this place up for you!" My desk, office table, even the sofa in the office have become temporary "holding" places for items related to a current project. Sound familiar? Along comes Lisa Woodruff with some VERY doable ways to de-clutter the workspace, handle those cash receipts, stacks of paper and make order from chaos. Organizational wiz, Lisa Woodruff gets the house (and office) in order on this episode of The Street Savvy Marketer Podcast.

Thorin McGee, Part One [S01 Ep07]
This interview was recorded when Thorin McGee was Editor-in-Chief of TargetMarketing magazine. Thorin remains one of the most knowledgeable people on the planet about existing and developing marketing channels. He's also a hell of a nice guy. No false pretenses...he tells it like it is. I like that about him. What's more, Thorin knows what's hype and what's bunk. On this episode, he discusses social media marketing and how to turn that Facebook "Like" into bankable profit. Hope you enjoy both parts of this informative interview.
