The Fire that Ignites Our Faith
Jesus said it was better that He leave earth so the Holy Spirit could come. He was one body amongst the people, but the Spirit would come to live inside of us. The Holy Spirit acts as a Fire that sets our souls ablaze and gives us the power to do things that are beyond our own strength. Fight for the Family
Families have been under attack from the beginning of time, and they are under attack today. The devil, who hates families with complete disdain, works overtime to tear down every wall we rebuild. How do we overcome his opposition when we’re exhausted from the constant patch work?In this message, Jill Briscoe teaches from the book of Nehemiah on where to draw strength for rebuilding our family relationships. Sufficient Grace
Splinters, thorns, prickers. It doesn’t matter what they are called, they hurt and get under your skin! Life in our world is filled with thorns: difficult relationships, illness, loss of loved ones, broken promises. The Bible tells us that even the Apostle Paul and God Himself in Jesus struggled under the bite of thorns. But God does not allow thorns in our lives without providing sufficient grace to live in the prickly mess. What Satan intends to push us down often results in pushing us to our knees in front of God’s throne instead.“You who wore my thorns that I may know Your grace…pierced by my sin that I may see Your face…loved and forgiven from shame and deep disgrace. You wore my thorns. You wore my thorns.” (from Jill’s poem “You Wore My Thorns” copyright 2003) To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1141/29?v=20251111

Saving Grace
Why is a walk in a garden so relaxing? Because we were created to live in God’s garden of perfection, forever. Unfortunately, as the story goes, Adam and Eve made a fatal error and were forced to make their home in the garden of sin instead, where nothing is perfect or peaceful. But remember, this is God’s story! God came looking for Adam and Eve after they disobeyed. And in His grace, He still comes looking for us today. Jill Briscoe takes us through biblical examples of God’s saving grace and how He offers us a way to His riches through Christ. Dealing with Our Differences - Chiseled
What is God using to chisel you into the image of Christ? Will you lie still in His hand and let Him do it?For Jeremiah, God was using his ministry partner, Baruch, to chisel and hammer him into shape. Jeremiah, too, was chiseling Baruch. Without the encouragement of the other, neither would have had faith enough to finish when their ministry got difficult. In this message, Jill describes how we can learn to work with and celebrate the differences between us and the people in our lives. His Plan in My Life - His Words in My Mouth
Do you ever find yourself running away from God’s plans because you feel inadequate? Jeremiah felt inadequate when God called him to be a prophet. But God spoke a promise to Jeremiah saying, “My plan will be in your life, My work will be in your hand, and My words will be in your mouth.”In this message, Jill teaches how to have the kind of faith that believes that God will enable and equip us to do everything He asks of us. Great Is Thy Faithfulness - Morning by Morning
Trying to walk in faith is a day-by-day lesson in leaning on God. It’s figuring out moment-by-moment what a Christian life looks like—and it’s not easy.Jeremiah had to learn how to have faith like this when he was in the pit, when he was fighting despair and doubt. During this time, God was teaching Jeremiah to put his mind on Him, instead of on the troubles of life.Jeremiah’s testimony of learning faith morning by morning is a great lesson for us in pursuing faith, even in doubts and trials. Searching for Security
Security comes with the confidence of knowing who you are and where you belong. In Ecclesiastes 4, we see Solomon mourning for the lost outside his palace gates as he watches them toil with the meaningless distractions of this world. Today, there are still millions of people walking around with the emptiness of not knowing God. And as this breaks the Lord's heart, it should move us to take action in sharing the Gospel. Searching for Satisfaction
If we are honest with ourselves, instant gratification is the driving force for many of our actions. But that pleasure soon fades. Jill brings us to Ecclesiastes 2 where Solomon puts this theory to the test in an effort to see what truly satisfies. Searching for a Song to Sing
When you can't feel God with your feelings, feel Him with your faith. There are plenty of times in life when we feel like God isn't with us because we are focused on our emotions. These are the times when it is crucial to speak Scripture over our circumstances. Then we will find ourselves being lifted out of the pit. Searching for Significance
In a world filled with “me-first” thinking, it’s natural to wonder if we matter to anyone. Who really cares about me? In Ecclesiastes 4, we get to see Solomon’s longing for significance in another’s life, which ultimately can only be satisfied by God. In this message, Jill uses an acrostic for W-I-S-D-O-M. Jehovah Sidqenu - The Lord Is Righteousness
In Bible times, when a person had leprosy, they would use rags to cover their open sores because they were very contagious. In the book of Isaiah, it says that all of our righteous acts are like filthy rags—like the unclean rags used by people with leprosy. So if our good acts can never be righteous to God, then how can we live in Heaven? In this message, Jill teaches about our Jehovah Sidqenu, which means "Jesus is my righteousness." She lets us know how we can be righteous in God's eyes. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1141/29?v=20251111

Jehovah Ro'i - The Lord Is My Shepherd
Sheep rely on their shepherd to love them, lead them, and give them food and water. In this same way, we can depend on the Lord to be our shepherd, and he will love us, lead us, and provide nourishment for our soul. In this message, Jill talks about God as our Jehovah Ro'i, or shepherd, so we can know what wonderful things God provides for us, His sheep. Jehovah Shalom - The Lord Is Peace
Where is God when bad stuff happens? That’s a question so many of us have asked ourselves when nothing’s gone right, when someone has died, or when we’ve suffered a broken relationship. In this message, Jill teaches on how we can know God as our Jehovah Shalom, so we can know how to experience His peace in the midst of life’s chaos. Jehovah Nissi - The Lord My Banner
A bad temper, a constant desire to overindulge on brownies, or a tendency to not trust God are all examples of battles we can face from time to time. This battle of the flesh will always exist, but it's God's battle not ours. In this message, Jill explains how we can know God as our Jehovah Nissi, or our banner, so that we can rely on Him to win our battles.
