In this day and hour, the need for the men of God to be bold, has never been greater! We find one such bold man of God in Acts 6. Stephen stood for the Lord and was bold. In Joshua 3, the nation of Israel was brought to a place that they had not been before. Their parents had been brought to a place that they had not been before and they failed the Lord in unbelief. The mistakes of others does not need to be our mistakes as well. May we choose to go with God, and find there are no regrets. There does not need to be any fear walking with the Lord. The greatest walk with God, is walking by faith! 

John 4 reveals that people haven't changed and our  problems haven't changed and thankfully Jesus hasn't changed!  Searching for satisfaction in everything but Jesus Christ will always leave us thirsty and searching for the satisfaction our soul craves. The only satisfaction our heart will ever find complete will be with Jesus Christ as our Saviour! There are several lessons we can learn as we study John 4. 

Growing up as a child, "cleaning house", was quite a task that was not enjoyed. It was needed, yet I did not always want to clean the house. As an adult, it's healthy to have a clean house. As a Christian, it's imperative that we clean the "house" of our heart in our walk with the Lord. In Numbers 25, Phinehas took action when open sin was being committed before the LORD, Moses and the Israelites. The actions of one man to "clean house" impacted the nation of Israel! May the Lord find us faithful to "clean house" in our own family's and walk with the Lord!

There are many things that gets defined as Biblical Missions, yet isn't. Pastor Stahl takes the time to walk through this passage giving us the Biblical definition of missions. Pastor Stahl came to Bay Saint Louis in 2011 and the church family has grown tremendously in understanding Biblical missions and putting it into action. We learn from Luke 5, that there were those that lived with leprosy. Leprosy alters every facet of one's life. Yet there is one that can alter ever facet of leprosy. We do not know the name of the man that was living with leprosy, but we do learn of the God incarnate Jesus Christ that can change the "leprosy" of your life. Many times our problems are not because of the White House, the Church House, but actually are found because of the altar being broken down in one's own house. The altar of God is not to be abandoned, but strengthened! May we be like Elijah "and he repaired the altar of the Lord that was broken down". Let us look at I Kings 18:30-38 and The Broken Down Altar. 

Who wants to be effective for the Lord? Who wants to do and be like the apostles of the early church? Many times we make the mistake of trying to live the Christian life without Christ. In this passage today, those early New Testament saints did not make that mistake.  We find in our passage today the "how and why" of those faithful saints of God, that were able to do great things for God. Ultimately, the "how and why" will help us focus on the 'Who" it is we are to be reflecting throughout our lives. May it be said that our living for the Lord is full in power and focused in purpose. Take a few moments with me, as we study Acts 2:4-11.

We have all been in storms throughout our life. The Apostle Paul gives a tremendous pattern to follow to navigate the storms of life. There is much to learn in those difficult times. Let's take some time to look at Acts 27:21-26 and learn what the Lord would have for us to learn.
