Last week I made a video in response to a recent message by Pastor Philip Anthony Mitchell of 2819 Church.He spoke on how the black community needs to stop blaming white cops for the killing of black youth.His statement was provocative, but was based on biblical truth. In the black community, due to the preponderance of children that are born without a father living in the home, we have a number of young black men who are hurting. This hurt leads to a nihilistic view of life and a lack of respect for male authority.So, when a young black man who has been raised to be led by their emotions encounters a police officer, there is potential for a tragedy to occur.Instead of bending the knee to this culture and not speak the truth in love, we need more pastors in the black community to speak with boldness on this matter.Biblical Conservative View is a reader-supported publication. This past week, Pastor Philip Anthony Mitchell made a statement during his sermon that has received a lot of attention.He was preaching about submitting to authority and he mentioned that black parents should teach our children how to obey authority.He also had the audacity to say that not every killing of a black man was the result of a bad cop.Obviously, the blowback he received was expected.
