This points to a breakthrough in consciousness which is the basis of the song.

Universal intelligence runs in and through everything and everyone. Being consciously connected to it is the ultimate internal freedom.The concept being conveyed is that we have the key within ourselves to unlock the door to that universal intelligence.As a conjecture, the song is in part about Jim Morrison's attunement to universal intelligence. The poem-song Horse Latitudes can be understood on many levels, but for me, it is about forgetting who we really are as divine beings having a human experience joyfully surfing through the waves of life to human beings struggling through every facet of life's experience.

Originally written as a goodbye song to a girlfriend Jim Morrison's song Crystal Ship also has multidimensional meanings according to who listens to it and how it is interpreted through our own unique filter or in other words how we perceive our reality.
