Episode 151: How to Remove Gluten From Your Diet

If you only can or want to make one change to your diet to reduce the severity of your endometriosis symptoms, this is the one: go fully gluten-free. In this episode I share strategies with you on how to do this successfully.

  2. 151

Episode 150: How to use diet to manage endometriosis symptoms

Does diet really make a difference for Endo? Let’s bust a big myth: Endometriosis symptoms are not just hormonal — they are inflammatory. And that means diet does matter. A lot. In fact, the right foods can help ease pain and inflammation — and I’ll explain exactly how in this episode, which is a recording of a webinar I ran at the beginning of 2026.

Episode 149: How to remove sugar from your diet

We all know sugar isn’t good for us, don’t we.  But do you know how sugar affects your Endometriosis? And which foods contain hidden sugar? And then there’s the challenge of how to remove sugar from your diet. This episode is a recording of a webinar I ran in 2024. In it I explain how sugar and sugary foods contribute to inflammation and many of your Endometriosis symptoms and how to remove sugar from your diet.

Episode 148: Anti-Inflammatory Nutrients for Endometriosis: What Helps — and How to Get More In

If you have Endometriosis, you’ve probably heard that reducing inflammation is key — but what does that actually look like in real life? In this episode, I walk you through some of the most powerful anti-inflammatory nutrients, including turmeric, ginger, omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidant vitamins, magnesium, zinc, and polyphenols — and, importantly, how to get more of them into your everyday meals without overwhelm or restriction. You’ll learn how these nutrients help calm inflammatory pathways, support immune balance, and reduce oxidative stress — all of which play a role in managing Endometriosis symptoms.  For a deeper dive into specific nutrients, you may also want to listen to: • Episode 144: Omega-3s vs. Omega-6s – Fats That Fight Inflammation • Episode 131: Magnesium & Endometriosis – The Mineral Your Body’s Probably Craving

Episode 147: What to Eat Before and After a Laparoscopy (Nutrition Tips for Recovery)

Many women with endo are on the surgery ‘not so merry’ go round.  It is hard on the body, and getting ‘match fit’ beforehand and looking after yourself afterwards can really help to get through better and recover faster. This course provides you with how to use what you eat and drink to get in the best shape possible to recover fast.  #endometriosis #theendometriosistnutritionist #EndometriosisDiscoveryCall #endometriosissymptoms #NutritionForEndometriosis #1in10 #endoadvice #nutritionist #NutritionAdvice #theendometriosisnutritionistpodcast #endosurgery #recoverfromsurgery #laparoscopy

Episode 146: Top 5 Fertility-Boosting Supplements for Women with Endometriosis

If you have Endometriosis and are trying to fall pregnant — either naturally or with the help of IVF or IUI — it’s normal to feel overwhelmed by conflicting supplement advice. In this episode, I break down the five key supplements that can support fertility in women with Endometriosis, and explain why they matter in the context of inflammation, oxidative stress, egg quality, and gut health. You’ll learn how folate, CoQ10, vitamin C, N-acetyl cysteine (NAC), and vitamin E work to support healthy egg development, reduce inflammatory load, and protect fertility — and why women with Endometriosis often have higher needs for these nutrients. I also share a bonus supplement for those preparing for IVF, R-alpha lipoic acid, and explain how it can help support egg quality and ovarian function during assisted reproductive cycles. This episode is practical, evidence-based, and designed to help you feel more confident about which supplements may be worth considering — and which ones require a more personalised approach. 🎧 If you’re currently taking a prenatal multivitamin, I also recommend listening to episode 115, where I explain why the type of folate you take matters more than you may realise.  I’ve created a free guide that explains how you can use diet and supplements to help improve your fertility. It’s called “5 strategies to improve your fertility naturally“ and you can download it here: https://www.subscribepage.com/5strategiesimprovefertilitynaturally  #endometriosis #theendometriosistnutritionist #EndometriosisDiscoveryCall #endometriosissymptoms #NutritionForEndometriosis #1in10 #endoadvice #nutritionist #NutritionAdvice #theendometriosisnutritionistpodcast #fertility #endometriosisfertility #fertilitysupplements #boostfertility

Episode 145: Sleep, Stress and Endometriosis: Small Changes That Make a Big Impact

Many of my clients have difficulties with sleep: difficulty falling asleep or waking up often, or not getting enough sleep, or if they do, not getting the quality sleep they want. And studies have shown that in Endometriosis, poor quality sleep contributes to period pain, pelvic pain, painful intercourse, bladder pain and more depressive symptoms. So what does good sleep look like, and how does your sleep affect your Endometriosis? I’ve created a free guide “5 Steps to reducing your Endometriosis symptoms with nutrition”. This guide will get you started on changing your diet and reduce the severity of your symptoms.  If that sounds good, download your copy of the guide now:  https://www.subscribepage.com/5stepstoreducingyourendometriosissymptomswithnutrition  #endometriosis #theendometriosistnutritionist #ReduceEndometriosisPain #endometriosissymptoms #NutritionForEndometriosis #1in10 #endoadvice #nutritionist #NutritionAdvice #theendometriosisnutritionistpodcast #sleep #stress #improvesleep

Episode 144 - Omega-3s vs. Omega-6s Fats That Fight Inflammation

Omega-6 fats are often blamed for inflammation inEndometriosis — but here’s the truth: they’re not the enemy. The real issue is how much we’re getting from processed foods, and how little omega-3 we’re consuming to balance things out. In this episode, I’ll explain how these fatsinfluence inflammation in Endo — and what simple, realistic changes can actually make a difference.I’ve created a free guide “5 Steps to reducing your Endometriosis symptoms with nutrition”. There is a lot of confusion and conflicting advice online around dairy, gluten, and soy for fertility — especially for people with Endometriosis: are they good for you? Should you avoid them? This episode explores what the evidence says, why some people benefit from reducing these foods, and how to know what’s right for your body.  I’ve created a free guide that explains how you can use diet and supplements to help improve your fertility. It’s called “5 strategies to improve your fertility naturally“ and you can download it here: https://www.subscribepage.com/5strategiesimprovefertilitynaturally  #endometriosis #theendometriosistnutritionist #EndometriosisDiscoveryCall #endometriosissymptoms #NutritionForEndometriosis #1in10 #endoadvice #nutritionist #NutritionAdvice #theendometriosisnutritionistpodcast #fertility #endometriosisfertility #gluten #dairy #soy #boostfertility

It’s very personalised! Just a heads-up: when you get to my booking calendar, the available timeslots will show in YOUR time zone so you don’t need to do complicated calculations 😉 2.     After you’ve attended, I will send you an email with a link to the most appropriate program(s) for you (which we will have a chat about in your call) and your discount code for 40% off. There are NO obligations for you to sign up for anything! 3.     If you decide you want to work with me and sign up for a program AND get the 40% discount, you need to sign up before 1 March (or 28 Feb, depending on your time zone). Episode 115 - If you are trying to fall pregnant and taking a prenatal multivitamin you need to listen to this episode

Vitamin B9 (or folate, folic acid or folinic acid) is a key vitamin for pregnancy. It is recommended to reduce the risk of neural tube defects in your baby. It is also a key vitamin for the body to make new cells: blood cells and in particular healthy red blood cells, brain cells, skin, hair and nails. In this episode I explain what the different types of vitamin B9 are, what needs to happen in your body for it to be able to use it and why I recommend you stop taking supplements with one form of B9. Episode 113: It take 2 to do the fertility tango

Welcome to year 5 of the Endometriosis Nutritionist podcast! I’ve been publishing podcast episodes for 4 years now, and my little podcast has been listened to more than 130k times by people all over the world! I’m so happy that so many of you find the podcast helpful and I’m very excited about the fifth year.   Let’s kick year 5 off with an episode about fertility and pregnancy. So, why does it take 2 to do the fertility tango?  I’m not an expert on male fertility and I’m not going into what types of fertility issues your male partner (or the person providing the sperm) may have and what to do about it.   But if you have Endometriosis and are experiencing difficulty falling pregnant or are having early pregnancy losses, it is important to consider that it truly takes 2 to do the fertility tango.  #endometriosis #endometriosissymptoms #endometriosisdiet #nutritionforendometriosis #reduceendometriosissymptoms #endometriosisnutrition #endometriosisnutritionist #infertility #miscarriage #improvefertility #earlypregnancyloss #maleinfertility

Episode 102 - The Basics: How to improve your fertility

When we look at nutrition for Endometriosis, there are a few basics that are key to understand because they explain why and how nutrition can help you to reduce the severity of your symptoms. These basics are: The role of inflammation The role of your immune system The role of your gut Your gut microbiome How endometriosis affects fertility And some key symptoms.   Since the start of this podcast I’ve covered these basics, but the episodes may be a bit difficult to find, so I’m republishing these under the heading ‘The basics’. This is one of those episodes. Infertility affects 30-50% of women with Endometriosis. And 25-50% of infertility is caused by Endometriosis (and it is often the time you finally get diagnosed). In this episode I explain how nutrition can help to improve your chances of falling pregnant naturally. I talk about improving egg quality, ovulation, embryo development, and reducing the risk of miscarriage.
