    The Pressure to Perform

In this episode, I’m talking about something that so many people experience in life, but especially within intuitive and spiritual work: the pressure to perform.Through the lens of Animal Communication, I explore what it feels like to carry expectations into our sessions, our businesses, our visibility, and even our relationships with ourselves. The pressure to “get it right,” to prove ourselves, to give enough, to be enough, or to make sure every experience feels meaningful and impactful. We dive into how this can show up differently for each of us. From perfectionism and overgiving, to fear of failure, burnout, procrastination, self-doubt, and even resentment toward work we genuinely love.I also talk about the importance of recognizing where this pressure comes from, whether it’s internal expectations we place on ourselves or external expectations from clients, social media, mentors, or the industry as a whole. This episode is about building awareness, understanding our own patterns, and learning how to stay connected to ourselves within the experience of them.Because while some level of care and responsibility can support integrity within this work, the pressure to perform should never become the thing leading it.A grounded, honest conversation for intuitive practitioners, animal communicators, and honestly… anyone who has ever felt the weight of expectations..Suggest something for a future episode: Podcast Suggestions Form.Connect with Brittany Ashworth: Website: www.sacredechos.comInstagram @sacredechosFacebook @sacredechos

    The Soul’s Journey: A Q&A on Reincarnation

In this episode, we’re diving into some of the most asked-about and often misunderstood topics: ReincarnationI am answering your questions through the lens of both soul-level understanding and my experience communicating with animals. This conversation explores not only how animals reincarnate, but also what it can look like when we reconnect with them in a new lifetime. We talk about some of the most common curiosities, like whether animals come back in the same gender, if they return to the same families, and how quickly a soul can incarnate again. I also share what it’s like to connect with an animal who has already reincarnated, and why they may or may not choose to share details about their current life. This episode is a reminder that reincarnation isn’t a rigid or predictable process. It’s deeply individual, guided by the soul, and influenced by alignment, timing, and choice. If you're wondering if your animal will come back to you, or simply wanting to understand the bigger picture of the soul’s journey, this episode offers an expansive perspective on what happens beyond this lifetime and how connection might look moving forward.Suggest something for a future episode: Podcast Suggestions Form Connect with Brittany Ashworth: Website: www.sacredechos.comInstagram @sacredechosFacebook @sacredechos

Why Animals Hide Illness (And What It Really Means)

In this episode, we’re exploring something that can feel confusing, confronting, and even heartbreaking at times… why animals don’t always show us when something is going on in their bodies.Whether it’s a sudden diagnosis, something that seems to appear “out of nowhere,” or a health concern that wasn’t picked up earlier, many people find themselves asking: How did I not know? Or why didn’t they show me?Today, I’m sharing a deeper perspective on this. We’ll talk about why animals may hide or downplay health concerns, how their relationship to the body is different from ours, and the many layered reasons they might not bring something forward, even when we feel open and ready to receive it.I also speak to the nuance of this… not all animals hide things, and not everything missed is intentional. Sometimes it’s simply the complexity of bodies, communication, and being human in relationship with them.My hope is that this episode offers you a grounded and compassionate perspective to view your animal’s health through. One that supports trust, awareness, and a deeper connection between you and your animal.Suggest something for a future episode: Podcast Suggestions Form Connect with Brittany Ashworth: Website: www.sacredechos.comInstagram @sacredechosFacebook @sacredechos

Exploring the Akashic Records for You and Your Animals

This episode is a little bit different and one that has been highly requested.Today, we’re diving into the Akashic Records! What they are, how they work, and how they can support both you and your animals from a deeper, soul-level perspective. There’s been a lot of conversation around the Akashic Records lately, and my intention with this episode is to bring a grounded and approachable understanding to something that can often feel a bit abstract or misunderstood. At its core, the Akashic Records are an energetic field of consciousness often described as a library, a blueprint, or an imprint of your soul’s existence. It’s a space where we can access insight, perspective, and understanding beyond the physical experience we’re living. In this episode, I share how I personally experience and work within the Records and what it can look like to enter into that space. How they are a collaborative space for deeper awareness, clarity, and connection to your highest self.Whether you’re curious about the Akashic Records for yourself, your animal, or even your business, this episode offers a foundational look into what’s possible within this work. It can open the door to seeing yourself and your animal in a completely different way.Suggest something for a future episode: Podcast Suggestions Form Connect with Brittany Ashworth: Website: www.sacredechos.comInstagram @sacredechosFacebook @sacredechos

What Animals Want Us to Know About Communication

For this episode, I did things a little bit differently.I brought a curiosity to the Animal Collective and opened the space to channel a message directly from them to all of us.The intention I held was: “What do animals want us to know about animal communication?”What came through was a series of reflections, reminders, and perspectives that speak to how animals experience communication with us, and how they are already engaging in this exchange far more than we often realize.Their messages weren't about structure or technique, it was about understanding. My intention with this episode is to offer you a broader and more felt sense of what animal communication is from their perspective and to expand the way you may already be experiencing it.Suggest something for a future episode: Podcast Suggestions Form Connect with Brittany Ashworth: Website: www.sacredechos.comInstagram @sacredechosFacebook @sacredechos

    Supporting Our Senior Animals

In this episode, we’re talking about something so many of us hope for, and yet often feel unprepared for, supporting our animals through their senior years.Aging is a natural part of life, and when our animals reach this stage, it can be both beautiful and incredibly challenging. Their needs begin to shift, their bodies change, and the way they engage with the world isn’t always the same as it once was. This episode is a look into what it really means to support our animals through this phase of life.Through my personal experiences, I share what it has looked like to navigate different aging journeys and the ongoing process of learning how to meet them where they are and what they are communicating. One of the greatest ways we can support our senior animals is by allowing all versions of them to be seen, supported, and loved without expectation. This is an episode for anyone walking alongside a senior animal, or anyone who wants to feel more prepared, grounded, and connected as their animal moves into this stage of life. And above all, it’s a reminder to keep asking: “What do they need from me now?”Suggest something for a future episode: Podcast Suggestions Form Connect with Brittany Ashworth: Website: www.sacredechos.comInstagram @sacredechosFacebook @sacredechos

    Seeing Animals as Sovereign Beings

In this episode, we’re exploring a perspective that has the potential to shift the way you see and relate to your animals in a really meaningful way — animal sovereignty. This isn’t just about giving our animals choices or a voice in their lives. It’s about recognizing that they are innately sovereign beings with their own awareness, agency, and ability to participate in shaping their lives and experiences.Together, we look at what sovereignty actually means, and how this shows up in both the everyday moments you share with your animals, as well as from a deeper, soul-level perspective. From the subtle ways they communicate preferences and boundaries, to the more obvious ways they express a “yes” or a “no,” there is so much available for us to notice when we start paying attention. We also expand into a broader perspective, one that considers how animals may play a role in the homes, environments, and experiences they find themselves in. This way of seeing can gently shift them out of the role of being passive participants in their lives, and instead into beings who are actively engaged in their own journey. When we start to truly see them as sovereign, everything about the relationship and the way we view other relationships begins to shift. The Channel: Exploring How We Receive from Animals

This is an episode that has been requested for a long time… A conversation around receiving from animals and what it actually means to open the channel of communication. In this episode, I take a broad look at the process, while emphasizing something I believe deeply: there is no one “right” way to receive and hold this.Animal communication works through the transfer of thought, emotion, and energy, but how that information is received, interpreted, and understood is entirely unique to each individual. This episode is an invitation to explore and reflect on your own way of connecting.I also share why I tend to move away from rigid labels of understanding how we receive and instead encourage a deeper understanding of your own felt experience, allowing space for animals to communicate in the way that feels most natural for them, not just what we expect. This episode is about building a foundation, developing trust in your own experience, and learning how to become a more open and neutral channel over time.Suggest something for a future episode: Podcast Suggestions Form Connect with Brittany Ashworth: Website: www.sacredechos.comInstagram @sacredechosFacebook @sacredechos

Crossing the Threshold: A Q&A on Animal Transitions

In this episode, I’m answering your questions about what happens when our animals transition from their physical bodies.Over the past few months, I’ve been quietly collecting the questions you’ve asked about death, dying, and what I often refer to as “Transitions.” This episode focuses specifically on what the process looks like from the soul’s perspective, what it can feel like for them, what I observe when connecting with animals who have crossed over, and some of the nuances that don’t always get talked about. We explore questions like:Does a seamless transition mean it was more “aligned”?What happens in sudden or unexpected deaths?Do other souls meet them when they cross over? Are they in their “best” or most vibrant form on the other side?Do animals remember past deaths or previous incarnations?I share what animals have shown me about the threshold between realms, how preparation (or lack of it) can influence the transition experience, and why alignment is often much more layered than we assume. This episode isn’t meant to provide absolute answers, but rather to offer perspective from the connections I’ve had with animals in spirit. This is a gentle, expansive conversation about what happens beyond the physical and about remembering that the soul’s journey is often far bigger than our human understanding of loss.Suggest something for a future episode: Podcast Suggestions Form Connect with Brittany Ashworth: Website: www.sacredechos.comInstagram @sacredechosFacebook @sacredechos

    Interspecies Healing with Mariana Nagy-Reis

In this episode, I am joined by Mariana Nagy-Reis, founder of Alchemy Queen, for a conversation that moves far beyond the surface of animal healing and into the shared energetic field between humans, animals, and the Earth. We begin by exploring the idea of interspecies healing. The understanding that the well-being of our animals is deeply intertwined with our own. Mariana shares her journey from being a biologist to becoming an animal communicator, including the life-changing experience with her horse that opened the door to a completely new way of seeing healing, connection, and consciousness. As the conversation unfolds, we explore how animals act as mirrors, reflecting our emotional states, inner imbalances, and unhealed parts. We speak about twin-flame bonds between humans and animals, how animals hold memory codes that help us remember who we truly are, and the subtle ways they guide us back into alignment with our own frequency and truth. We also touch on elemental and energetic consciousness, the way animals bridge different realms of awareness, and what it truly means to be an alchemist in this work.About Marianna Nagy-ReisMariana is an Animal Communicator whose work is rooted in Animal Alchemy — an embodied, relational approach that emerges from the lived dynamics between people, animals, and nature.Together with her mare Amelia and her goat DeeDee, she is the co-creator of Alchemy Queen: a multidimensional space where science (PhD), symbolism, and energy meet to empower co-creation with animals as active and sovereign participants in shaping a more authentic and meaningful way of living.Resources Mentioned:www.tammybillups.comConnect with Marianna Nagy-Reis: Website: www.alchemyqueen.caInstagram @alchemy_queen_ Connect with Brittany Ashworth: Website: www.sacredechos.comInstagram @sacredechosFacebook @sacredechos

Supporting Your Animals While You’re Away

In this episode, we’re talking about something so many of us navigate: going on vacation while our animals stay home.Whether you’re travelling for a weekend or heading away for an extended trip, time apart can impact our animals in ways we don’t always fully consider. I share how I personally prepare my animals before I leave, practically, emotionally, and energetically. From choosing the right caretaker based on each animal’s unique needs, to communicating through visualization, showing them how long I’ll be gone, and preparing them for the shift in routine. This episode is about creating smoother transitions, honouring your animals’ needs, and remembering that while you may be on vacation, their world feels different in your absence. With intention, communication, and awareness, time apart doesn’t have to feel disruptive, it can become something your animals can navigate with trust and certainty.Suggest something for a future episode: Podcast Suggestions Form Connect with Brittany Ashworth: Website: www.sacredechos.comInstagram @sacredechosFacebook @sacredechos

An Inside Look at My Animal Communication Practice

This episode has been on my list for a while. Over the years, I kept receiving questions about how I work, how sessions unfold, and what the process actually looks like behind the scenes. So in this episode, I’m offering an honest look into my animal communication practice.I walk you through how sessions are held, from the moment someone books, to how I prepare my body and space, to the way I open and close the channel of communication with an animal. I share why I work the way I do, how boundaries and neutrality are woven into my process, and why intention, environment, and energetic consent matter so deeply to me in this work. It’s an invitation into the why behind my choices, the care I bring into each session, and the respect I hold for the individuality of every animal I connect with.Whether you’re curious about animal communication, have worked with me before, or simply feel drawn to the layers of connection between humans and animals, my hope is that this episode offers clarity, transparency, and a deeper sense of the space I hold when I sit down to listen. As always, thank you for being here and for your curiosity.Suggest something for a future episode: Podcast Suggestions Form Connect with Brittany Ashworth: Website: www.sacredechos.comInstagram @sacredechosFacebook @sacredechos

Navigating Behaviours with Our Animals - Part Two

In Part Two of Navigating Behaviours with Our Animals, we continue the conversation that began last week, this time turning our attention toward how we can support what’s showing up.Rather than approaching behaviour as something to fix, this episode invites a more compassionate, layered way of being with our animals. We explore how understanding the root of a behaviour (whether it’s an unmet need, an emotional pattern, a physical imbalance, or something shaped by past experiences) can guide us toward the kinds of support that actually feel helpful and supportive. This episode also speaks to the quiet truth that not all behaviours are ready to disappear. Some are woven into who an animal is, while others are ways they’ve learned to stay safe, get their needs met, or navigate a confusing world. We talk about how to hold realistic expectations, how to notice small shifts instead of looking for final results, and how to honour the pace that both you and your animal are able to move at.Along the way, we touch on different forms of support, from communication and energy work to emotional and physical care, and how your own nervous system, reactions, and inner world are always part of the equation. This episode is an invitation to meet behaviour with curiosity instead of judgment, and to remember that real change often comes not from force, but from being deeply seen, heard, and supported.Suggest something for a future episode: Podcast Suggestions FormConnect with Brittany Ashworth: Website: www.sacredechos.comInstagram @sacredechosFacebook @sacredechos

Navigating Behaviours with Our Animals - Part One

In this two-part episode of The Grounded Communicator, we begin a deep exploration into navigating behaviours in our animals. This isn't from a place of correction or control, but from curiosity, neutrality, and understanding. In Part One, we focus on how behaviours form and why they show up. We gently pull apart the many layers that can influence behaviour, including personality, lived experience, nervous system responses, soul contracts, past patterns, learned dynamics within the home, and so much more. This episode invites you to look beyond the idea of “good” or “bad” behaviour and instead see behaviour as information. We also explore the often-overlooked truth that our relationship to a behaviour (our emotional charge, personal history, expectations, and nervous system) plays a significant role in how that behaviour shows up and how much friction it creates. Sometimes, simply shifting perspective can soften the energy around a behaviour, even before anything changes externally. You’ll be guided through the first three foundational steps to navigating behaviour:Understanding where a behaviour is coming fromExploring why it feels undesirable or activating for youNoticing when, where, and with whom the behaviour occursThis episode isn’t about fixing your animal. It’s about creating enough neutrality and awareness to truly see what’s happening for them and for you.If you’re navigating challenging behaviours with an animal you love, this episode is an invitation to slow down, soften your lens, and listen more deeply.Suggest something for a future episode: Podcast Suggestions FormConnect with Brittany Ashworth: Website: www.sacredechos.comInstagram @sacredechosFacebook @sacredechos

The Subtle Layers of Reincarnation with Our Animals

In this episode, we continue the conversation on reincarnation with our animals, building on ideas from Season 1, Episode 31: The Return of the Soul: Understanding Reincarnation with Our Animals. Whether you’re revisiting the topic or encountering it for the first time, this episode explores new layers of understanding. We dive into the roles and lessons that animals may carry through multiple lifetimes, how reincarnation can show up in our relationships, and why it isn’t always about coming back to us in the way we expect. From protective guardians and wise teachers to independent spirits and emotional anchors, each soul has unique intentions and opportunities for growth.I also discuss the ethical and nuanced aspects of recognizing reincarnation: how to honour an animal’s individuality, navigate expectations, and avoid projecting our own hopes onto them. Through examples from my work as an animal communicator, I offer insight into how reincarnation can inform our understanding of behaviour, connection, and the deep connections we share with our animals. This episode is an invitation to explore reincarnation with curiosity, respect, and a sense of reverence for the souls in our care.Suggest something for a future episode: Podcast Suggestions Form Connect with Brittany Ashworth: Website: www.sacredechos.comInstagram @sacredechosFacebook @sacredechos

    Myths about Animal Communication

In this episode of The Grounded Communicator, we explore some of the common myths and misconceptions that often surround animal communication—both in general and in my own practice. We talk through 10 myths, including ideas like:- Do you need to speak out loud to connect with an animal?- Do animals “talk” in human voices?- Must an animal be physically present, or even alive, to communicate?- Do animal communicators have special powers or control over animals?Through stories and examples, I share what I’ve learned over the years about how animals communicate, the importance of their voice and choice, and how connection happens in subtle, sometimes unexpected ways. This episode is for anyone curious about animal communication, or for those who have wondered what it truly means to listen to our animals beyond words and assumptions. Breanne & Stitch: Navigating an Uncertain Transition

In this powerful and deeply vulnerable episode, I’m joined once again by my sister Breanne Kerr for a conversation that many animal guardians will one day face—but few talk about openly. Breanne recently navigated the transition of her beloved dog, Stitch, and the journey was anything but straightforward. What made Stitch’s transition so complex and so poignant was the profound disconnect between what his internal body was showing and what he was outwardly presenting. While his physical body was quietly shutting down, his spirit, behaviour, and energy expressed joy, enthusiasm, and life. For many humans, that lack of clear, external signs removes the sense of “certainty” we so often rely on when making end-of-life decisions for our animals. This episode gently explores what it means to walk through that space of uncertainty with courage, honesty, and love.Breanne introduces Stitch—who he was as a soul, a companion, and a teacher—and takes us through the unfolding of his health journey. Together, we explore the hardest emotional moments, the inner conflict of “he still seems happy,” the intuitive nudges that informed their decisions, and the quiet wisdom that Stitch offered throughout. We also speak to the practical pieces, the energetic considerations, the spiritual support, and the reminders that can help you feel less alone in an impossibly tender chapter.Connect with Breanne Kerr: Website: www.wildwynd.comInstagram @wildwyndequineFacebook @wildwyndequineConnect with Brittany Ashworth: Website: www.sacredechos.comInstagram @sacredechosFacebook @sacredechos

The Importance of the Words That We Use

In this honest and eye-opening episode, I’m joined by Breanne Kerr for a conversation I’ve been wanting to have for a long time. Together, we explore something that shows up in every corner of our relationships with animals—the language we use, the words we choose, and the energy that lives underneath them.We talk about the moments that have made us pause, the jokes that weren’t really jokes, the labels we’ve absorbed from others, and the words that can land with a surprising amount of charge. Whether it’s calling a horse “stubborn,” a cat “lazy,” or a dog “bad,” we look at how these descriptions shape not only how our animals feel, but also how we understand them, relate to them, and advocate for them. And of course, we delve into the flip side: the impact of speaking with respect, clarity, and kindness and how those simple choices can change the way our animals receive us, and how we receive ourselves. This episode is an invitation to expand your awareness, soften into humility, and get curious about the words that fall out of your mouth without you even noticing. Not with judgment, but with compassion, honesty, and a desire to grow.   Connect with Breanne Kerr: Website: www.wildwynd.comInstagram @wildwyndequineFacebook @wildwyndequine  Connect with Brittany Ashworth: Website: www.sacredechos.comInstagram @sacredechosFacebook @sacredechos

Understanding Your Animal’s Place in the Family Matrix

In today’s episode, we’re diving into a concept that quietly shapes the emotional, behavioural, and energetic lives of our animals—the Family Matrix. This is something I first learned about in my early Animal Communication training, and over the years, it has become one of the most insightful, revealing lenses during sessions. While many people naturally see their animals as part of the family, few realize that their animals are also part of a shared energetic network—one that includes every human and every animal in the family. In this episode, we explore what a Family Matrix is, how it forms, and why it matters more than most guardians realize. We talk about inclusion and exclusion within the matrix: what it looks like when an animal feels deeply woven into the family system, and what it looks like when they feel left out, unseen, disconnected, or uncertain of their role.We explore how roles are created—sometimes intentionally, sometimes completely unconsciously—and how animals may take on patterns such as protector, peacekeeper, nurturer, emotional buffer, or the one who absorbs tension within the household. We also dig into what causes shifts within the matrix: new relationships, new animals, loss, moves, changes in routine, differing levels of attention, inconsistent boundaries, or subtle interpersonal dynamics happening between the humans.I share about how to observe your own family matrix with honesty and neutrality, what questions to ask yourself, and how to identify when an animal may be struggling with their sense of belonging. And most importantly, we cover what you can do to support change—how to cultivate greater inclusion, deepen connection, and create emotional and energetic harmony within your home.Because at the heart of it, our animals aren’t just living with us—they’re living in relationship with us. And the way they feel in the family matrix can shape everything from their behaviour, to their confidence, to their nervous system, to their overall well-being. Connect with Brittany Ashworth: Website: www.sacredechos.comInstagram @sacredechosFacebook @sacredechos

Transitioning an Animal: Knowing When to Make the Call

One of the hardest moments any guardian faces is knowing when it’s time to help an animal transition. In this episode of The Grounded Communicator, I open an honest, compassionate conversation about the timing of euthanasia — what it means to “make the call,” how to navigate the uncertainty around when it’s right, and how to support both your animal and yourself through it.We explore what “right timing” truly means — not just for our animals, but for us as their humans. I share perspectives on how animals experience timing differently than we do, what they often care about most in their final moments, and how we can honour their preferences while also tending to our own emotional readiness. From preparing for the call itself, to knowing what questions to ask your vet, to creating a supportive environment on the day of transition for ourselves, this episode offers gentle guidance for one of life’s most sacred and challenging passages.Because while there may never be a perfect moment, there can be one that feels aligned — grounded in love, awareness, and presence.  Connect with Brittany Ashworth: Website: www.sacredechos.comInstagram @sacredechosFacebook @sacredechos

Love Beyond Guardianship: Grieving an Animal That Isn’t Yours

Grief doesn’t always follow ownership. In this episode, I explore a type of loss that many of us experience but rarely talk about — grieving an animal who isn’t technically “ours.”Whether it’s a barn mate, a foster, a friend’s beloved companion, or an animal you’ve shared space and connection with, these bonds can run incredibly deep. And when those animals pass away, move, or transition out of our daily lives, it can evoke complex emotions like love, loss, gratitude, and sometimes even guilt for feeling such strong emotions.I share my own experience navigating this kind of grief through my connection with April, a horse who’s been a profound teacher and partner to me for many years. Her recent move brought forward waves of emotion that reminded me how important it is to honour our feelings fully — even when we’re not the guardian making the decisions. This episode is an invitation to hold space for these quieter forms of grief with compassion and self-awareness. To feel what’s real, without projecting or dismissing, and to remember that our connections with animals extend far beyond physical proximity.Because even when an animal leaves our care or our daily life, our connection remains.  Connect with Brittany Ashworth: Website: www.sacredechos.comInstagram @sacredechosFacebook @sacredechos

In this episode of The Grounded Communicator, I open up about my personal experience with spiritual burnout: what it is, how it’s shown up in my life and work, and the signs to watch for.Together, we’ll explore the nuances of spiritual exhaustion: when practices that once felt energizing start to feel draining, when guilt or obligation creep in, and when even the things you love most feel overwhelming. I share honestly about how this has impacted my own journey, including the ways it has shown up in my personal practice and my business, and the intentional steps I’ve taken to begin reconnecting. This is a conversation to help normalize spiritual burnout, remove the shame around it, and remind you that it’s okay to take pauses, set boundaries, and nurture your human self just as much as your spiritual self.If you’ve ever felt worn out on your path, I hope this episode helps you feel less alone and offers tools to support yourself through it.    Connect with Brittany Ashworth: Website: www.sacredechos.comInstagram @sacredechosFacebook @sacredechos

    Supporting Animals Through a Move

Moving is one of life’s biggest transitions—not just for us, but for our animals too. In this episode, I share my own journey of preparing for a move with my cats, dog, and horses, and offer guidance on how to support your animals through every stage of the process: before, during, and after.I’ll talk about how to include your animals in the decision-making process, ways to communicate what’s happening, and the kinds of supports, like herbs, homeopathy, flower essences, or simple routines, that can help ease the transition. I also cover practical considerations for moving day itself, from trailers and carriers to creating calm environments, as well as how to help them settle into a new home with comfort and confidence.Every animal experiences change differently, so I’ll share some of the unique needs of my own crew as examples. At the heart of it all, this episode is about honouring the individuality of our animals and remembering that moving is as big of a life event for them as it is for us.If you’re planning a move or simply curious about deepening your connection with your animals during times of change, this episode will give you insights and practices to make the journey a little smoother for everyone.    Connect with Brittany Ashworth: Website: www.sacredechos.comInstagram @sacredechosFacebook @sacredechos

    An Update on Life

Welcome back to The Grounded Communicator! Season Two begins with a check-in and life update. In this episode, I share how the past few months have felt like both summer (fast, full, and full of movement) and winter (deeply reflective) and how that has brought me towards the season of Fall.I talk about recent travels, my experience teaching my Animal Intuitive course, and the ways I’m focusing more intentionally on my own health. I also share about how all my animals are doing, including Adi and Lilo, after they both needed emergency vet visits. Most of all, I reflect on the changes stirring within me, which I’ll be diving into more throughout this season.Thank you for joining me again on this journey. I’m so grateful to be reconnected with you!

In this personal and reflective episode, I’m sharing an update on the future of the podcast and what’s unfolding behind the scenes. I'm pressing pause for a little summer hiatus — not out of disconnection, but from a deep desire to realign, recharge, and create from a place of inspiration rather than obligation.Tune in to hear more about why this break feels aligned, what’s coming down the pipeline, and how I’m navigating the balance between holding space for others and tending to my own rhythms. Soul Contracts: Part Two

In this episode, I’m continuing the exploration of Soul Contracts and going beyond the introduction of them that I gave back in part one to share deeper insights into how they shape our relationships and lives. We’ll look at Soul Contracts from a higher perspective: not as a fixed itinerary, but as evolving journeys influenced by our own choices and the choices of our animals. I talk about why we might often only see a ‘snapshot’ of the contract at a time, how themes show up across different relationships, and how certain animals seem to arrive in our lives just when we need them. We’ll also explore the creation of these contracts, how they may span lifetimes, and how some are formed in real-time as life unfolds versus being ‘pre-planned’. I share thoughts on witnessing “harder” Soul Contracts, especially in animals experiencing neglect or abuse, and how we might hold those situations with compassion and a higher lens. And, if you’re curious about what your own Soul Contracts might be, this episode offers guidance, reflection questions, and a deeper invitation into the unseen threads that connect us.  Connect with Brittany Ashworth: Website: www.sacredechos.comInstagram @sacredechosFacebook @sacredechos

The Return of the Soul: Understanding Reincarnation with Our Animals

In this illuminating and insightful episode, I dive deep into the fascinating and often emotional topic of animal reincarnation. While this theme has come up in past episodes, today I give it the dedicated space it deserves. You'll learn what reincarnation really is, how it works across lifetimes, and what it looks like when one of your animals transitions and returns to you, sometimes in the same form, sometimes not. We explore timelines, soul evolution, form changes, and how to recognize if a soul has returned.I also share personal stories about my own animals, Mowgli and Duke, who have both shown me the beauty, complexity, and real-world challenges of navigating reincarnation. Whether you're new to the concept or have experienced soul return firsthand, this episode offers deep insights, grounded wisdom, and a lot of supportive information.  Connect with Brittany Ashworth: Website: www.sacredechos.comInstagram @sacredechosFacebook @sacredechos

The Art of Receiving: Before, During & After a Session

What does it really mean to receive an Animal Communication session from your animal? In this episode, I’m diving deep into the often-overlooked role of the guardian — how your energy, openness, mindset and perspective can shape the session and what your animal shares.Whether you're booking your first session or you’ve received many, I’ll share with you what to consider before, during, and after your session. We'll explore how to prepare yourself emotionally and energetically, how to receive information with neutrality and discernment, and how to stay open to hearing your animal's truth, even when it challenges your expectations.I’m also sharing real-life examples of sessions where resistance or attachment to specific outcomes shaped the experience, and what it means to trust in your animal’s wisdom and voice throughout the process. This episode is both a guide and an invitation: to step into sessions with more awareness, to honour the communication as sacred, and to deepen your relationship with your animal through presence, curiosity, and trust.  Connect with Brittany Ashworth: Website: www.sacredechos.comInstagram @sacredechos

Navigating the Loss of Benson with Michelle Lypkie

In this tender and deeply personal episode, I’m joined by my mom, Michelle, as she opens up about the recent loss of her beloved dog, Benson. This conversation not only honours Benson but also speaks honestly about what it’s like to walk through this kind of transition with our animals. We talk about Benson’s long health journey — years of hind-end weakness and immobility without any real answers from vets — and how my mom navigated the slow unfolding of his decline. She shares what it was like to reach that heartbreaking, yet deeply intuitive moment of knowing it was time, and all of the emotions, doubts, and grace that came with making that decision.Michelle speaks candidly about Benson’s actual transition, the sacredness of that moment, and the beautiful affirmations they received from him — signs that affirmed his timing and readiness. We also explore what life has looked like in the weeks since, especially for their other dog, Gruff, who is navigating his own grief and adjustment in Benson’s absence. This episode is full of tears, tender stories, and the very real, very human experience of loving — and letting go of — an animal who is part of the family. If you’ve ever had to make a similar decision or are walking that path now, we hope this conversation brings you a bit of comfort, connection, and the reminder that you’re not alone in it.  Connect with Brittany Ashworth: Website: www.sacredechos.comInstagram @sacredechos

    Animal Intuitive vs. Animal Communicator

In this episode, I’m sharing my perspective on the difference between being an animal intuitive and an animal communicator — and why I see them as two distinct stages in the journey of connecting with animals. In this conversation I hope to support you in understanding where you might be on your own path with this, and hopefully take some of the pressure off! I’ll be talking about how I came to this understanding, how this “middle step” of being an intuitive with animals is overlooked, and why recognizing it can actually bring you so much clarity and confidence.I’ll also share how this shows up in my own practice, and offer thoughts on how you can start building your intuitive connection with animals in a grounded, easeful way.If you’re curious about the “in-between” space — the part where you’re receiving things but not quite feeling like an animal communicator yet or even honing your skills— this one’s for you.  Connect with Brittany Ashworth: Website: www.sacredechos.comInstagram @sacredechos

My Journey to Becoming an Animal Communicator

In this deeply personal episode, I’m sharing something that feels both vulnerable and important—my journey to becoming an animal communicator. From growing up as a deeply sensitive, animal-loving kid, to navigating societal expectations, people-pleasing, and the pressures of “doing life right,” this episode walks you through the twists and turns of how I found my way back to myself through the sacred practice of Animal Communication. This isn’t a “how-to” episode—it’s a story. One filled with doubt, remembering, healing, and reclaiming. I talk about childhood conditioning, what it was like to start hearing and sensing in ways that felt both magical and terrifying, and the pivotal moments (and people) that shaped how I now walk this path.I also open up about the internal work it took to actually own this identity out loud, how animal communication quietly grew behind the scenes while I was still teaching full-time, and what it looked like to finally make the leap into doing this work full-time—even when it was messy, unplanned, and full of unknowns. If you’re on your own journey of building a practice, finding your voice, or just trying to figure out what’s true for you… I hope this episode reminds you that your path doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s. You’re not behind. You’re exactly where you need to be.  Connect with Brittany Ashworth: Website: www.sacredechos.comInstagram @sacredechos

Using Animal Communication to Welcome a New Animal Into Your Life

In this episode, we explore how Animal Communication can support the process of bringing a new animal into your life, whether you're welcoming them into your home or your herd. This conversation was inspired by the growing number of people reaching out with beautiful curiosity about how animal communication can help them prepare for and connect with the incoming animals in their lives. Whether it's from a place still deciding which animal is meant to partner with you, or you're navigating the early stages of integration, animal communication offers a unique and soul-led way to tune in, ask questions, and receive insight.I share a few recent stories from sessions (with full permission, of course!) — including choosing between puppies, welcoming a horse into an existing herd, and exploring compatibility between current and potential animal companions.Whether you're preparing to welcome a new animal into the family, or simply wondering what's possible, this episode offers a supportive perspective on what exploring this for yourself could look like.    Connect with Brittany Ashworth: Website: www.sacredechos.comInstagram @sacredechos

Life Beyond the Physical: What Animals Experience After a Transition

What happens to our beloved animals after they transition from their physical bodies? In this episode, we explore this journey from the perspective of the animals themselves—what they have shown and shared about their experience as fully spirit beings. If you haven’t listened to our last episode on preparing for transition, I recommend starting there, as this is a natural continuation of that conversation. Today, we’ll explore what happens after the transition—the journey through realms, the process of fully crossing over, and what it means when an animal stays in the “in-between” for a time. We’ll also talk about what animals do once they are in spirit—how they continue to be present with us, how they move between realms, and how they are still evolving and growing just as we are. Many people wonder, Is my animal still with me? Can they see me? Do they know I miss them? In this episode, I’ll share their messages of reassurance, love, and guidance.Lastly, I’ll share some wisdom from animals in spirit—messages about love, perspective, and the everlasting connection between souls. They remind us that this is not an ending but a transformation, and love is never lost. It simply shifts into a new form.Join me in this heartfelt conversation as we deepen our understanding of what it means for our animals to transition, not as a loss, but as a continuation of their soul’s journey. ❤️    Connect with Brittany Ashworth: Website: www.sacredechos.comInstagram @sacredechos

Honouring the Journey: How Animals Prepare for Transition

Saying goodbye to an animal is never easy, bu. their transition is more than just an ending—it’s a deeply personal and sacred journey. In this episode, we explore what the process of a transition can look like. We’ll talk about how animals let us know they’re ready, how their sense of time differs from ours, and the emotions that can come up as we navigate this journey with them. From the moment of acceptance to the final day, I’ll share what animals have shown about their experience—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—and how we, as their humans, can honour their wishes and needs.I’ll also discuss the time in between—those days, weeks, or even months when they are preparing, and we are too. What does this phase look like? What signs might they give us? And how can we allow their timeline to unfold with trust, even when it feels difficult? On the day of transition, we’ll explore ways to bring intention, love, and ceremony into the process. Whether through music, herbs, meaningful rituals, or simply being present, this can be a sacred time for both the animal and their human. We’ll also talk about what happens as they leave their physical body—what they experience, what they want us to know, and how they continue to stay connected after. For those who have experienced an unexpected or immediate loss, I’ll also touch on how these transitions, while different, still hold space for connection, love, and meaning.Above all, this episode is a heartfelt guide to walking this path with presence, trust, and love. Our animals don’t see transition the way we do—it’s not a goodbye, but a shift in connection. If we allow it, this journey can be as beautiful as the love we’ve shared with them all along.   Connect with Brittany Ashworth: Website: www.sacredechos.comInstagram @sacredechos

How Animals Ask for Support and Know What They Need

In this episode, we explore how animals communicate the specific support they need—emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually. Whether it’s a request for a supplement, a type of bodywork, or even a particular brand, animals can be surprisingly precise about what will help them. I’ll share how these requests come through in sessions via visuals, sensations, and energetic impressions, and how I, as an Animal Communicator, translate this non-verbal language into clear, actionable insights for guardians. This episode was inspired by a question from a guardian after a session, who asked, “How did my animal know what support she needed—and how did she know about that exact product?” It struck me as something many others might be curious about, too!I’ll also walk you through the tools I use to discover and confirm what animals are asking for, the ways that this information is received, and how to sense how specific or open-ended their requests might be. This episode is all about deepening your understanding of how animals communicate and guide their own healing and how we can better support them in this understanding.  Connect with Brittany Ashworth: Website: www.sacredechos.comInstagram @sacredechos

This episode will explore how energy work manifests in animal communication sessions. I’ll share how animals often ask for energetic support to help them heal, process emotions, and restore balance. Whether it’s helping them release grief, balance energy in their bodies, or support them through past-life trauma, energy work plays a huge role in how I work with animals.I’ll share why animals might seek energetic support, how they communicate these needs, and the various ways energy healing shows up in sessions. I’ll also share some of the methods I use, from chakra balancing to working with crystals, magnets, and even my own intuitive “toolbox” that helps guide the process.I believe energywork is an essential part of helping animals feel seen, heard, and supported. Navigating the Non-Negotiables with Horses with Brianna Ferguson

In this episode, I’m joined by the amazing Brianna Ferguson of Evergreen Equine Wellness for a deep and important conversation about navigating the non-negotiables in our horses’ lives—things like vet visits, farrier work, deworming, and more. While these are essential for their health and well-being, they aren’t always easy for every horse.Brianna and I talk about what these experiences can bring up for horses, the importance of identifying the root causes of their struggles, and, most importantly, how we can truly support them in these situations moving forward. We also dive into how our own energy as their guardians impacts these moments, what having open and honest conversations with the care team can cultivate for everyone, and ways to offer more autonomy (for us all!) even when non-negotiables are at play.Brianna is an Equine Bodyworker and Hoof Care Provider passionate about guiding horse owners to develop deeper relationships, restore wellness, & seek holistic transformation through consent-based support modalities. Understanding the Essence: The Nature of My Animal Communication Sessions

Welcome to Episode 14 of The Grounded Communicator! In this episode, I’m diving into the intricate nature of my animal communication sessions. I’ll share how my practice has evolved, the reasons behind how I hold my sessions, and what this process looks like from the animal’s perspective. I’ll also explore how other communicators may approach their practices differently. Throughout the episode, I explore the three distinct phases of my sessions: the open channelling phase where I receive messages from the animal without attachment, the integration of the guardian's intentions and questions for the session, and the final recording of the session that captures the essence of everything that was shared. I’ll discuss the importance of neutrality and trust—letting animals lead the conversation—and how this approach builds a deeper understanding between animals and their guardians. I’ll also touch on the diversity of styles among animal communicators, emphasizing the importance of finding a session approach that feels aligned for both the communicator and the client. Whether you’re curious about animal communication, considering a session for yourself, or an animal communicator, this episode offers valuable insights into the unique dynamics of this work and how it can be tailored to meet the needs of both humans and animals. Duke’s Story: The Power of Intuition and Advocacy

In this deeply personal and heartfelt episode, I share the transformative journey of Duke—my first horse, greatest teacher, and biggest supporter. Duke’s story is one of resilience, healing, and the power of listening to our intuition and the animals we partner with. From the moment he came into my life, Duke carried the weight of his past—a history of trauma, anxiety, and the need for a single, devoted person to understand him. Together, we navigated his challenges: his physical and emotional struggles, his coping mechanisms, and his need for a stable, predictable environment. I reflect on the unique methods we used to build trust and create a true partnership, including animal communication, bodywork, and routines tailored to his needs. Through every step of our journey, Duke taught me the importance of being fully present, of listening deeply—not just with my ears but with my heart—and of putting his needs first, even when it meant sticking out and wading through judgment. We’ll also explore: - How Duke’s past shaped his behaviour and our approach to his care. - The importance of creating safe spaces, routines, and boundaries for animals. - How animal communication can offer valuable insight and support—not as a quick fix, but as an ongoing tool for connection. - The emotional highs and lows of our time together, from his first steps toward healing to his eventual transition. . Duke’s story is one of transformation—not just for him, but for me as well. Through his guidance, I learned what it truly means to advocate for an animal’s needs, to build a relationship rooted in trust, and to honour their voice and choice every step of the way.
