Esther chapter 4 teaches us that when trouble comes, the first thing to do is go to God for help.

Esther 2:19-3:15 records unjust and wicked events taking place. But God was at work behind the scenes, even if it made no sense at the time.

Esther 1:10-22 continues to show us the dark and depraved world of the Persian Empire. Yet in the midst of this darkness, God was already at work to protect and preserve His people before they even knew they were in danger.

Our modern world is separated from the world of Esther by thousands of years, by a different language and by a different culture. But the world of Esther is not so different than our own.

Today we begin our new expository series through the book of Esther. The dangerous and dark times that Esther lived through - and how God worked in the midst of that time - gives us a glimpse into the ways God is working in our world today. Come find encouragement in this amazing story.
