208~When You Can't Be Everywhere at Once
Some seasons of motherhood don't just feel full… they feel impossible. In this episode, I'm sharing a very real and personal look at what it feels like to be stretched across multiple moments at once, wanting to show up fully for each child, each milestone, each once-in-a-lifetime moment… and realizing you simply can't be everywhere at the same time. After last week's conversation with Meagan Hansen about "white knuckling motherhood," I couldn't shake that phrase. Because if I'm honest, I've been living that out in my own life lately. Gripping tightly, trying to plan and control what was never mine to carry. Between a daughter about to give birth, another walking through life-changing decisions, and a son graduating college… the tension is real. And maybe you're feeling it too. In This Episode, We Talk About: What it looks like to "white knuckle" motherhood—and why we do it The pressure moms feel to be everything for everyone The anxiety of "what if I miss something?" A powerful shift from control to surrender How to stay present in the moments that matter most Truth to Hold Onto You cannot be everywhere at once. But God can. He is already in the moments you're worried about. Already making space. Already going before you. 207~White-Knuckling Motherhood with Meagan Hansen
This week, I'm joined by Meagan Hansen—a mom of three who vulnerably shares her journey from fear-filled motherhood to finding peace through surrender. After losing her mom to cancer at a young age, Meagan carried deep anxiety into motherhood. What looked normal on the outside felt like "white-knuckling life" on the inside—constantly bracing for something to go wrong. In this conversation, we talk about how fear can quietly take over, how it affects the way we show up for our kids, and what it looks like to truly trust God with what we love most. This episode is a reminder that you don't have to live gripping tightly to control—you can open your hands and find peace in God's sovereignty. In This Episode, We Talk About: Walking through anxiety and intrusive thoughts in motherhood How past trauma can shape present fears The impact of fear on parenting and patience What surrender to God actually looks like day-to-day Renewing your mind through Scripture Practical ways to respond when fear creeps in Scripture Shared Proverbs 3:5–6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart… and He will make your paths straight. 206~Reset Your Rhythm with Courtney
The last few months have been a little chaotic over here—hello, remodel life. But in the middle of the noise, disruption, and things feeling out of place, something unexpected happened… It created space for a reset. In this episode, I'm sharing how a simple home project turned into a deeper invitation from God—not just to reorganize my kitchen, but to rethink my rhythms, my expectations, and even the way I approach my time with Him. After last week's conversation with Jennifer Dukes Lee about how we wake up (not when), I've been reflecting on what it really looks like to live with intention in a busy season of motherhood. And here's what I've learned: You don't need a perfect routine… You need life-giving rhythms. Your relationship with God was never meant to live inside a perfectly scheduled box. It's okay if it looks like: a prayer in the car worship while you get ready a conversation with Him in the middle of the chaos It still counts. It still matters. It's still holy. 205~How To Love Your Morning with Jennifer Dukes Lee
What if being a morning person has nothing to do with waking up early? In this episode of The Mom Show, Courtney sits down with Jennifer Dukes Lee to talk about her new book and the surprising truth she discovered after studying more than 200 mornings in Scripture. If you've ever felt like mornings are loud, rushed, chaotic, or just not your thing, this conversation will breathe so much grace into your day. Jennifer shares why a morning person is not defined by the hour she wakes up, but by how she wakes up, and how even overwhelmed moms can begin to approach the start of the day with more hope and intention. Courtney and Jennifer talk about the pressure many women feel to create a picture-perfect quiet time, why that mindset often leaves moms discouraged, and how to reframe what it looks like to meet with God in real life. From little ones at home to grown children far away, this episode is filled with practical encouragement for every season of motherhood. In this episode, we talk about: Why mornings in Scripture matter What it really means to be a morning person The difference between a morning routine and a morning ritual How moms can meet with God in chaotic seasons Why quiet time does not have to be quiet to be holy Jennifer's "morning archetypes" and how they help women stop comparing themselves One simple step to move from morning dread to morning hope A beautiful reminder from Scripture to pray, "Lord, send the ravens" This episode is for the mom who has felt guilty, behind, or like she just can't get mornings right. You are not failing. You may just need a gentler, more grace-filled way to begin. 204~Saturday Faith
We talk a lot about Good Friday and Easter Sunday… but what about Saturday? The day in between. The day where everything felt silent. The day nothing made sense. In this Easter week episode, we look at the story through the eyes of Mary — a mother who said yes to God without knowing the full story, and who later sat in the tension of watching her son suffer, unable to change the outcome. What do you do when God doesn't move the way you expected? When you're waiting, praying, and not seeing change? This episode is for the mom in the middle — the one living in a "Saturday" season, learning what it means to trust God in the silence. 201~Life On The Sidelines with Jennifer Skinner
What if God is not waiting for you inside four walls, but meeting you right in the middle of carpool lines, laundry piles, and ballfields? In this encouraging episode of The Mom Show, Courtney sits down with writer and speaker Jennifer Skinner to talk about motherhood in the thick of busy schedules, competitive sports, and the guilt so many moms carry when life doesn't look the way they thought faithful motherhood would. Jennifer shares how God met her in the ordinary rhythms of raising three sports-obsessed boys and reminded her that His presence is not confined to a church building. From bleachers to baseball fields, she discovered that God sees moms in the chaos and walks with them through every ordinary and overwhelming moment. In this conversation, we talk about: finding God in the middle of busy motherhood releasing guilt over missed church, missed devotion time, and unmet expectations helping children understand their identity in Christ beyond performance the pressures and intensity of youth sports culture how to check your heart when sports or activities begin to take over trusting God with your children as they grow into who He created them to be navigating the transition into the empty nest years with faith and perspective Jennifer also gives a glimpse into the book she is writing for moms raising children in the competitive world of youth sports, offering reassurance that God is not absent from those years — He is present in every bit of it. This episode is a reminder that you are not missing God in your motherhood. He is with you wherever you go. Scripture shared in this episode: Joshua 1:9 "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." 199~The Hidden Season Is Not a Wasted Season
Have you ever felt hidden? Unnoticed? Behind? In this devotional-style episode, Courtney shares a powerful reminder: just because a season feels quiet doesn't mean God is absent. Drawing from Psalm 1, the lives of Elizabeth, Joseph, and even Jesus, Courtney explores how Scripture reframes hidden seasons — not as wasted time, but as preparation time. If you're a mom who feels: unseen in your daily routines forgotten in your prayers behind compared to everyone else stuck in a repetitive season This episode will gently remind you: Roots grow deeper in winter. Fruit comes in season. And nothing surrendered to God is ever wasted. 198~Behind the Pause: Rebuilding with Purpose
After a few unexpected weeks off the air, The Mom Show is back, and this episode is a heart-to-heart about what happens when life forces a pause. Behind the scenes, technical issues required time, patience, and prayer. At the very same time, our kitchen was being completely remodeled. It was chaotic, inconvenient, and unfinished. And it felt like the perfect metaphor for motherhood. In this comeback episode, Courtney shares what the pause taught her, how resistance can actually be refinement, and why seasons of "demolition" don't mean defeat. If you're in a season where something feels disrupted, delayed, or torn apart, this conversation will remind you that sometimes God is strengthening the foundation before He builds something new. In this episode: Why pauses don't equal failure What resistance can reveal about your calling The motherhood parallels between remodeling and refinement The new rhythm of The Mom Show moving forward What you can expect in this next season This year, you can expect: ✔ Two thoughtful interviews each month ✔ One practical or devotional episode ✔ One lighter, relatable mom-life conversation Some weeks we'll go deep. Some weeks we'll laugh. Some weeks we'll talk about parenting in the digital age, marriage under pressure, adult children, burnout, identity, and faith in the chaos. Because motherhood is layered — and so is this show. If this episode resonates, be sure to subscribe and share it with a mom who may be in her own "remodel" season. 197 ~ [Replay] HELP! I'm a Mom Who Struggles to Bravely Share My Faith with Cara Shine
This episode is a replay of one of our most impactful conversations from 2025, re-released because its message is still needed today. In this powerful and deeply personal episode, Courtney sits down with Cara Shine, a mom, teacher, and believer with a remarkable testimony of finding Jesus in the midst of chaos and fear. Raised in the Jewish faith, Cara spent much of her early life feeling rejected and judged by the Christians around her. The bullying she endured as a child left lasting scars, shaping her view of Jesus and her sense of belonging. But everything changed in the fall of 2002, during the terrifying three-week reign of the DC sniper attacks. As a young mom and schoolteacher paralyzed by anxiety, Cara encountered Christians who showed her the true heart of Christ through love, kindness, and courage. What followed was what she calls a "Holy ripple effect" that transformed her life, her faith, and her purpose. Cara's story is one of redemption, identity, and bold obedience. If you've ever been afraid to share your faith, unsure of how to reflect Jesus to others, or burdened by the actions of those who misrepresented Him, this episode is for you. In this episode, we cover: Cara's early experiences with antisemitism and religious bullying How the 2002 sniper attacks became the turning point in her faith journey The bravery of "quiet Christians" who helped her meet the real Jesus What it looks like to raise children who reflect Christ well How to discern when to speak boldly and when to simply listen The "Holy ripple effect" of living out your faith authentically Encouragement for moms afraid to share their faith Verse Shared: "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." —John 13:35 (NIV) Connect with Cara: Website~Instagram Connect with Courtney: Website~Instagram~Facebook~MOM 101 Facebook Group

192~2025 Final Episode "Choosing Presence" with Courtney Doyle
Surrendering Absence, Embracing Presence This year on The Mom Show, we've talked about estranged children, overwhelming diagnoses, addiction, abortion, shame, grief, unmet expectations, and longing. And as I reflected on all of it, a question from a mentor stopped me in my tracks: What is God asking you to surrender, and what is He inviting you to embrace? In this solo episode, I share how God answered that question for me, and how He gently showed me the difference between living in absence and choosing presence. I reflect on the losses I've experienced this year, the temptation to let absence be the loudest voice in our story, and the invitation God keeps extending to remain present with Him, even when answers don't come. We also look to Mary, the mother of Jesus, standing at the foot of the cross. A powerful picture of faith that doesn't fix or flee, but stays. Sometimes faith doesn't look like clarity or strength. Sometimes it looks like presence. This episode is for the mom who is: Ending the year weary Carrying grief or disappointment Feeling overwhelmed by expectations Longing for peace but unsure where to find it You don't have to carry everything into the new year. You're allowed to lay things down. Reflection Question: What is God asking you to surrender? And what is He inviting you to embrace? 178~Help! I Am a Mom with a Past of Addiction with Racquel Lopez
This week's episode is raw, redemptive, and rooted in real hope. Courtney sits down with Racquel Lopez—a mom whose story will remind you that no one is ever too far gone for God's grace. Racquel began drinking at just 13 years old, believing the lie that she had to be perfect to be accepted—not just by others, but by God. What started out as "fun" quickly spiraled into addiction, shame, and years of hiding behind a carefully constructed double life. But her story doesn't end there. At 25, Racquel got sober. At 32, she became a mom. And in the middle of it all, Jesus met her—in a rehab center, in the depths of brokenness, and on the road to healing. Her story is a powerful testimony of surrender, transformation, and the daily choice to walk in freedom. In this conversation, you'll hear: ✨ How Racquel's early belief in perfection shaped her identity ✨ The wake-up call that brought her to her knees—and to rehab ✨ How Jesus showed up in her darkest moment ✨ The truth about shame, surrender, and the slow journey of healing ✨ How recovery and motherhood continue to shape her identity in Christ ✨ Why being a "work in progress" is more than okay—it's beautiful ✨ How Racquel plans to talk to her kids about her past, grace, and God's redemption ✨ What she would tell the mom who feels like she's gone too far for God to reach This episode is for the mom who feels like her past disqualifies her. For the woman who thinks her story is too messy. For the daughter who needs to be reminded that Jesus meets us right in the middle of our brokenness and begins writing something brand new. Racquel's story is proof: you can be both a new creation and still healing—and God will use every part of it. 🎧 Tune in and be encouraged. This one is straight from the heart. 📖 Verse Racquel shares: 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NLT) "Anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!" 🙏 How you can pray with Racquel: Pray for moms—and daughters—who feel hopeless in addiction. 166~Help! I'm a Mom Who Struggles to Bravely Share My Faith with Cara Shine
