The Perfections of Imperfections - Journey of the MCubed
by Malcolm Martin
This is a twelve-part series of chapters narrating my life experiences as a young man living for Christ. Marred with imperfections, but through the grace of God, is made whole and complete, lacking nothing, albeit in a world filled with complexities. This series will speak of how our imperfections as human beings can shepherd us to a place where we complement each other in ways that ultimately enrich our collective lives. We live in an imperfect world filled with imperfect people, living imperfect lives, reminding us that we were never made to be perfect [at least not in this life].

The POI Podcast - Episode 4: Different - For Such A Time As This
One of the most profound things I’ve learnt in this life, is that we are all called for a specific time and chosen for a specific purpose. This not only calls for us to be different but also requires it for you to live a life that is meaningful and filled with purpose. The world would be so boring if we were all the same. Imagine everyone having the same eyes, same nose, same skin tone, same liking of foods, same taste in music, same love for fashion, oh what a conundrum. You were handpicked for your blessings, your passions, attitudes, your unique personality and yes… even your trials. You see, just like cooking, some ingredients are added later than some, and if you add anything prematurely, it will spoil your meal [for those who can actually cook an edible meal, you also know that any good meal takes time]… that meal being your life, so let’s wait on God, shall we… Don’t spoil the broth!

The POI Podcast: Episode 3 - Faith: Step By Step
Step by StepWe never see the full road.. all at once. We see it as we walk, as we take each step, as we count each blessing, as we experience each cycle of pain, go through each season of loss, live through each experience, laugh through each moment, cry through each thought, and as we live through each and every single day, we sometimes get lost in it all.God does not expect us to do anything in this life all at once [unless it’s Chick-Fil-A fries or a six pack oreo, that must be done in one sitting - there and then]. He rather encourages us to take life one step at a time. We do it; one mistake at a time, one sad story at a time, one happy moment at a time, one milestone at a time, one life achievement at a time, one train just missed at a time [ugh!!], one getting splashed by the infinity driver on the wet rainy day rushing to the job you’re already late for… at a time [love my life 🥲], one getting home sitting on your couch after a long day only to realize that what you’re smelling is not the new scent plug in lavender air-wick you just got at CVS, but irresponsible and #imperfect blonde’s fury friends chewed up and half digested dog chow, at a time…one step…on the road we call life…at a time. Even when there are bumps in the road we have to stay focused and committed to who we are and what we represent. “The race is not for the swift, but for those who can endure to the end.”We live in a world filled with imperfections, and subsequentially embody imperfect experiences. The perfect job, the perfect spouse, the perfect house, the perfect car, the perfect hair growth product [trust me, I’ve tried them all], the perfect train schedule [talk to me when you’re late for an appointment and get stuck on that 2 train], the perfect friend, the perfect family, the perfect church, the perfect world…does not exist. However, if you find it… please slide into my dm’s.

The POI Podcast: Episode 2 - Grace Upon Grace
Ephesians 2:8 KJV ~ For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:”Grace is a gift; you cannot buy it, you cannot work for it, deserve it, nor can you store it up for days to come, you get one coverage for life!God has a plan for you, and that plan is called grace. When we as believers think of the grace we have received, the grace that is also available to everyone who believes and covers every aspect of a life worth living, it would be unmindful of us to not share it, and would be remiss of YOU… to not tap into that access. Titus 2:11 ~ “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,”It is available to all of us, it is available to YOU!The access we have to such an amazing grace should have us inclined to the idea of telling others about it. Ok, so when you watch a movie and it ticks all of your boxes of a ‘Must See’, you tell everyone you know about it and why they ‘must see’ this great production. This for me would have been a few years ago when Reyna Mackerel [yes, that’s her name], told me about ‘The Chosen’ series on YouTube. I saw the first episode and was so engulfed in it all. I immediately shared it on all my platform statuses and sent it to friends, because they ‘must see’ this series. Just the same as sharing our excitement about a phenomenal masterpiece, we ought to mirroringly share the same [or even greater] excitement of the plan of grace to every single person we encounter. As famously said, when we experience God’s love and have experienced the plan of grace, which ultimately is for us to share, it’s like unto one beggar telling another beggar where he found bread. Hence why we can never deprive anyone of that privilege of the ‘Bread of Life.’ We know far too well about being hungry for something that the world can never satisfy, a void that can only be filled by the plan of grace, for us to be the reason someone does not experience grace.

The POI Podcast: Episode 1 - Broken But Beautiful
The Japanese concept for a broken vase centers on Kintsugi, the art of repairing fractured pottery with gold-dusted lacquer, treating the breakage and repair as part of the object's unique history, not something to hide, embodying the philosophy of Wabi-sabi (finding beauty in imperfection and transience) and symbolizing resilience, healing, and the acceptance of life's flaws. Instead of discarding a broken item, Kintsugi highlights the cracks, making the mended piece more beautiful and valuable. .This series will speak to how our imperfections will be used to make our lives compliment each others in ways that lead us to something beautiful.
