Maybe it’s idolatry, chasing things you shouldn’t, or turning away from God when you don’t get your way.Many of us have moments when we stray—when we put other things, people, or desires above God. Whether it’s out of frustration, impatience, or even rebellion, we “whore after” false idols—things that cannot fulfill or sustain us that literally kill us in the end. We are so unfaithful and sometimes we don't even realize it. And yet, God still loves us. He still calls us back to Him. If only you could let those false idols, other gods and deities go- how much further along would you be?Here’s the challenge: Instead of running to temporary solutions, we run to the One who holds all the answers? What if we took the time to sit in God’s presence, to listen, to ask, Lord, what is on Your heart for me and for my life?I know this is not an easy topic. Trust me, I’ve been there. I know what it feels like to wrestle with desires, with frustration, with not wanting to hear what God has to say because you want what you want. But let me tell you—God’s grace is bigger. His love is deeper.
