We promise to start doing more regular podcasts soon enough. We just can’t say when soon enough is! In the meantime, we’re checking in with the Houston teams in one ep. The Rockets season has come to an end and the blame game has begun. But is it even worth it since there will be a lot of returning faces next season? Then we check in with the Astros, while trying to remember that it’s still May and there’s more baseball to be played. Is there enough time and health for the season to turn around? It’s been a while, folks. I was on the IL because anyone close to the Astros is in danger of injury right now. I’m holding my baby and doing the laundry but that doesn’t mean I won’t get a podcast out to recap the last week and a half of Houston sports! How are your emotions? The Houston Rockets were able to end their season strong. Maybe not on the winning streak we all dreamed of but still a nice strong momentum building finish as they head to the playoffs. As we all prepare for a Rockets/Lakers series we ask: what are your expectations? How are you feeling about this team and have you been playing the blame game this season? Well, the series in Sacramento didn’t go the way we wanted but let’s try to look at the positives that this team is giving us: the offense. The Astros are leading MLB in a handful of offensive stats and even without Issac Paredes the team seemed patient and were able to put up enough runs to win a series. But what happened with the pitching and what can we expect going forward? We look at the last couple of Rockets games this week and recap the wins! The holiday break was fantastic for your boy, but it’s time to check back in with your Houston sports teams. The Texans have won 10 games in a row and are set to play the New England Patriots this weekend. After a 30-6 win and a bumbling offensive outing the Texans still bring hope to Paul’s heart. Meanwhile, the Rockets have been going through some big growing pains. Is this just a bump in the road or indicative of something bigger? What a week it’s been since we’ve last pod. The Astros swept the Rangers, and kept the boot in Houston for the 9th straight year. The Astros lost Yordan to injury and are announcing today that Paredes is set to return to the team. (And the Texans lose a MNF game and don’t shake any allegations made about the team this offseason.) The Astros are tied with the Seattle Mariners for first in the AL West and believe it or not this die-hard Astros fan really likes the Astros chances of winning this series.
