The Super Connectors NYC with Tori Hanson
Most people think “super connectors” are playing some kind of game.Tori. Hanson isn’t. 👉 “I never think what can I get out of this.”Because in a world obsessed with ROI, funnels, and “what’s in it for me?”… she’s just out there connecting people to make the world a bit better. No tracking. No agenda. No spreadsheet of favors owed.A few gems from this episode:• Her first event had 7 people… and she paid for it herself• She built a whole community just by “putting it out into the world”• Most of her best opportunities came from people saying: 👉 “Someone told me I should speak to you”• She won’t introduce you to her network unless she trusts you (protect the room 👀)And my fave:👉 “Good things happen to good people… what goes around comes around.”We also got into: – Why most networking events are a waste of time – Why in-person still beats everything – And how to monetize… without killing the magicIf you’re building anything through people (which is… everything), this one’s worth your time.

The Super Connectors NYC with Andy Walsh
Just dropped a new episode of The Super Connectors podcast with Andy Walsh and this one is full of gold for anyone building in startups.A few things that really stuck with me:“If you don’t have a network, you can’t survive in New York. Let alone build a business.”Andy’s built, exited, invested, advised, and one thing kept coming up again and again:The real edge is better people. In a world full of AI spam, copycat startups and endless content, Andy made a point I fully agree with:Nothing is stronger than connecting with someone in person.A few other nuggets from our chat:- the best connectors are always thinking "who should this person meet?"- your network gets stronger when you connect people even when there’s nothing in it for you- founders do not just need capital, they need the right lawyers, operators, investors, advisors and early believers- if you want to stand out, stop trying to sound impressive and start being human, honest and usefulGood founders remember the people who genuinely help them.Andy is also intentionally backing more female founders and pushing for a more balanced startup ecosystem, which I respect a lot. This episode is really about one thing:Your network is about survival, leverage & momentum.Listen to the full episode if you’re building a startup, investing, or just want to get much better at connecting the right people.

The Super Connectors NYC with Natalie Ledbetter
Excited to drop a new episode of The Super Connectors podcast with Natalie Ledbetter… this one is full of pearls of wisdom. One line in particular stayed with me:“It’s only been in the last couple of years that I’ve realized how expensive my network is.”That’s such a good way to put it.A few golden nuggets from our chat:1. The best connectors are deeply curiousNatalie said her network didn’t come from some master plan.It came from genuinely wanting to understand people.2. Great intros change livesShe’s made introductions that led to the best jobs of people’s lives. She’s also made intros that led to marriage.3. Most people are playing the job market completely wrongHer take was crystal clear: Nobody is reading resumes. People are hiring through relationships.Which means if you want a new job, hiding behind applications is not the move.4. The real magic is in the follow-upSo many people have one great conversation… then disappear.Natalie said it perfectly: the value often comes after 4, 5, even 6 years of staying in touch.5. If you build with the wrong people, your startup is dead anywayShe said it straight:Every business is a people business.Doesn’t matter how good the idea is if the people suck.Loved this conversation because Natalie gets it:Authenticity first. Value first. Help first. Then the opportunities follow.

The Super Connectors NYC with Andy Karuza
Back from SXSW and this bonus episode of The Super Connectors podcast was a fun one.I sat down with Andy Karuza from NachoNacho after joining 3 of his events at SXSW, where he brought together an insanely good mix of founders, operators, VCs and proper super connectors.A few golden nuggets that stood out:1. The best connectors don’t ask “what can this person do for me?”They ask: “Who could this person be good for?”That one line says it all.2. Andy has been doing this for 20 yearsFrom throwing events in college to building communities around startups, marketplaces and SaaS, he’s proof that connecting people is not fluff. It’s a real skill. And when done well, it compounds.3. AI spam is killing trustAndy said it perfectly: you can smell AI outreach a mile away. That’s exactly why warm intros matter more than ever. Real people. Real trust. Real context.4. Networking works best when everyone winsHis whole mindset is built around “a rising tide raises all boats.”That’s also why I loved seeing how naturally he creates rooms where amazing people actually help each other. And one more thing I loved:Andy openly said he doesn’t really track all the intros he makes… he just does it because that’s how he operates. Which is cool, but also proves why this whole space needs better systems. This episode is for anyone who wants to build a stronger network without becoming a cringe robot.

The Super Connectors NYC with Liz Capants
Just dropped Season 2 Episode 18 of The Super Connectors podcast in NYC 🎙️ with Liz Capants - an impressive low-key Chief Headhunter & Master Connector.A few punchy takeaways that I really enjoyed:“I honestly have no idea how it happened.” (Liz, when I asked how she built such a massive network)Her “secret” isn’t a hack, it’s simple: she genuinely loves meeting people and stays curious.Networking isn’t one chat and done.Liz said it straight: most people quit after one great convo… then wonder why nothing happens.“It might be 4 or 5 conversations… it might take years.”She literally landed a new client after 6 years of on-and-off networking. Wild. The line that should be tattooed on every connector’s forehead:“The fortune is in the follow up.”(And yes… most people are terrible at follow-up.)Best advice for younger folks:Get off your iPhone and put yourself out there. Also… your next life-changing intro might come from… your dentist 🦷We also got into the spicy bit: how do you monetize being a connector without turning into a weirdo?Liz built a revenue-sharing setup (Erudites Networking Group) because she’s a firm believer that “there’s tremendous value in who we all know” and that value should be compensated fairly. If you’ve ever thought:“Damn… I’ve made so many intros… I’ve probably created value… and I’ll never even know.”This episode is for you.

The Super Connectors NYC with Noah Obstfeld
Just released The Super Connectors podcast S2E17 with Noah Obstfeld who casually calls himself a “serial introducer” (yes, it sounds illegal… but it’s actually wholesome 😄).A few nuggets I had to share:“Introductions have more warmth and friendliness than ‘connections’.”Yep. Words matter. Energy matters. He basically treats networking like eating vegetables:“Get out there. It’s a real must.” (annoying… but correct)His monetization take was refreshingly blunt:“Be unapologetic about the value… this costs money, this costs time.”(Say it louder for the people pretending it’s “just vibes”.)He’s not “closing deals” at events. He’s collecting introducers:“Not everyone is a potential client… everyone is a potential introducer.”That mindset shift is everything. On AI + networking: use it for speed, not for pretending to be human.Because nothing replaces trust. And AI intros feel… AI-like.Also: Noah’s building Pitch Roast Live, a live comedy startup pitch night where founders pitch and comedians + investors roast them. Absolute chaos (in a good way).If you’re an SDR/BDR/founder who hates cold outreach and secretly wants networking to feel less like work and more like real life… you’ll enjoy this one.

The Super Connectors NYC with Lee Ann Chan
Just dropped Season 2 Episode 16 of The Super Connectors podcast in NYC with Lee Ann Chan (recruiter turned career coach turned “I’ll-connect-you-to-your-next-job” machine). My favourite bit?“Yes, leverage AI… but you still need to care from your heart.”“Nothing replaces someone who cares.”A few spicy nuggets from the convo 👇“Super connector” isn’t a title. It’s a habit. Lee Ann’s definition: relationships that genuinely work for everyone involved. She realised her “power” when she watched people actually get job offers from intros she made.Networking is now super digital but trust is getting wrecked by AI spam. Her take: AI can be a side assistant, but it can’t be the relationship. She’s helped people for years and literally said she’s lost track… which is why tracking intros properly matters (yes, we went there). Also: she’s about to start doing weekly LinkedIn Lives with resume + LinkedIn audits for the public. If you’ve ever wondered:“How do I build a real network without feeling cringe?”“How do I stand out on LinkedIn without becoming a robot?”“How do I use AI without killing trust?”…this episode will hit.

The Super Connectors NYC with Natalie Neptune
Just released Season 2 Episode 15 of The Super Connectors podcast in NYC with the one and only Natalie Neptune aka “the Group Chat Queen.” 👑This one’s for anyone who’s ever thought:“Networking is cringe.”Cool. Same. That’s why this convo hit.A few golden nuggets:Natalie literally built 300+ group chats in college. (Casual.)She’s obsessed with taking people from URL → IRL because online is great… but trust happens faster when you can look someone in the eye.She makes intros across deep tech, founders, law firms, investors and also connects people to entire Gen Z communities (she has a whole doc for it… of course she does). And then she dropped a line I can’t stop thinking about:“Intros get lost in the sauce because you just make so many.”YES. That’s the problem. We also went into the spicy bit: how do you actually make money from community + intros without turning into a walking ad?Natalie’s answer was refreshingly real:💎 some money is “front-stage” (sponsors, brand deals)💰 some is “backstage” (ghostwriting, LinkedIn strategy, doing events end-to-end)And then she basically invented a new category on the spot:🌟 “UGC creators… but for intros. User Generated Intros. UGI.”👀 If Gen Z can monetise content… why not monetise introductions? If you’re Gen Z (or you just feel Gen Z), this episode is a must-listen.

The Super Connectors NYC with David Homan
Just dropped Season 2 Episode 14 of The Super Connectors podcast in NYC and my guest isn’t a “super connector”…He’s a meta connector: David Homan (the guy who connects the connectors). 🕸️🔥A few moments that made me pause the recording like “wait… SAY THAT AGAIN”:“The best super connectors are humble.”The real ones don’t brag about who they know. They listen… then quietly make the one intro you didn’t realise you were waiting for.“Not business cards like Gumby in the 80s.” 💀If your networking looks like Pokémon trading, this episode will hurt (in a good way).He dropped the most useful “data point” I’ve heard on intros:Big outcomes are usually 2–5 years in the making, and 3–5 people deep.Which means the first connector often gets forgotten… even though they lit the fuse. His rule of respect (steal this):Respond to an intro within 2 days. Even if it’s “I’m slammed, I’ll reply next week.”It’s not about speed. It’s about honour. Also: David’s a classical musician and literally calls it “orchestrated connecting.”Fabulous name for a community of purpose-driven super connectors. 🎻If you care about relationships, intros, community… and building the new intro economy where connectors actually get recognised, you’ll love this one.

The Super Connectors NYC with Ilias Anwar
Just dropped The Super Connectors podcast S2E13 with ilias anwar 🎙️(Recorded Sept 2025 when he was at SeedLegals, he’s now at Cliqk since Nov 2025)This one’s for anyone who’s ever walked into a networking event thinking: “I have nothing to offer.”Spoiler: you do.My favourite golden nuggets from ilias:“Giving value without expecting to receive it back.” ← that’s the whole game.New York is “constant noise”… so if someone chose your event, they want value. Don’t waffle. Help them. Fast. The uncomfortable truth: “The best community builders I know are broke right now.” 😬(And why the “how do we actually get paid for connecting people?” question matters.)My fave mindset shift: “Speak from the heart… people will resonate with that.”Also… the most random but brilliant moment: we used gardening to prove that everyone has value (because everyone knows people). If you’re building community, throwing events, or just trying to become that person who makes things happen, this episode will upgrade how you think about networking.

The Super Connectors NYC with Andrea Garau
Recorded in NYC with Andrea Garau (Rocket Mixer®) aka the guy who curates events like it’s an art form.A few golden nuggets you’ll want to steal immediately:🔥 “Networking is a form of art.”Not a party. Not a vibe. A skill.🧠 The bit nobody wants to hear (but everyone needs):“The real event begins when the physical event ends.”Translation: if you don’t follow up, you didn’t network… you just stood near humans with a drink.💘 Best analogy of the episode:“A relationship is like dating. You need to feed the relationship.”No one owes you anything after a single handshake.✅ His “young founder” advice is painfully simple:Provide value first (even if it’s just a useful idea, a book, or one small intro)Be likeable (yes, it matters)Stop playing the short game - “It’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon.”He tells a story where one rainy January night turned into a major event 11 months later. That’s how this works. Also… Rocket Mixer® events are free for attendees (sponsor-supported), but they’re getting more curated as they grow. Aka: the rooms are getting better and better. If you’ve ever left a networking event thinking “well that was pointless”… this episode is for you.

The Super Connectors NYC with Pam Kavalam
Just released S2 E11 of The Super Connectors podcast in NYC 🎙️With Pam Kavalam, a natural connector who basically treats humans like Pokémon… “gotta meet ’em all.” 😄A few gems I’m still thinking about:✅ Her “networking hack” is hilariously simple:At ClassPass she sent an intro email… 30 people replied… so she just kept going.Every Tuesday at 10am: she’d Slack two people and grab coffee.Result? 300 coffees. (Yes, three hundred.)✅ Her CRM is… LinkedIn.“Connect to everyone I meet” + send a message immediately with context so future-you remembers.✅ The monetisation angle (that most people avoid):Pam nailed it: you’re not “paying for friends”…“You’re paying for the container.”(The framework, the staff, the space, the experience.)✅ My favourite line of the episode:“You just have to bring positive energy into a space and people want to talk to you.”No followers required. No fancy title. Just… don’t be weird, and ask good questions 😂And then she casually drops this:“Everyone millennial+ should have a Gen Z mentor.” 🔥If you’ve ever thought “networking feels cringe”… this episode will reset your brain.

The Super Connectors Austin/NYC with Nathan Latka
To celebrate the new year, I'm dropping a special bonus episode of The Super Connectors podcast, which was recorded LIVE at SaaStock in Dublin with the one and only Nathan Latka 🎤🇮🇪And yep… it got spicy in the best way.Nathan basically said:“In the age of AI… showing up in person and being real is a real advantage.”(Translation: your “Nice post!” comment is fooling nobody 🤖)A few gold nuggets that hit hard:- Super connectors aren’t “networking.” They’re just obsessively asking: “How can I help?” and doing it for years.- Nathan admitted a painful founder lesson: he bootstrapped to $1M revenue… then raised VC… and still made “very little money” when he sold.Because… terms. Preferences. All that fun stuff you ignore at 20 😅- He built Founderpath as an alternative to VC because of that exact scar. And then the bit I LOVED: he finally embraced paid referrals.$10k to the introducer + $10k savings for the founder (double-sided rewards).Literally: the intro economy in the wild. Also… Nathan tracks relationships like a machine (hot/cold) and when one goes cold he asks: “How do I add value to warm it again?”Savage. Practical. No fluff. If you’re a founder, investor, operator, or just a chaotic connector like me… you’re gonna want this one 🔥

The Super Connectors NYC with Matthew Silberman
“Nice people finish last.”Yeah… Matt politely called BS on that.In Season 2 Episode 10 of The Super Connectors podcast, I sat down with Matthew Silberman and we went deep on something most people feel but can’t quite articulate:👉 Being human is becoming a competitive advantage.A few standout nuggets from the convo:⚡️ A super connector just speeds up what was already meant to happen💃🏻🕺🏻 “These two people were going to meet anyway. I just help it happen sooner.”❤️ Empathy isn’t fluffy, it’s the whole gameMatt talks about leading with real curiosity:- What does this person actually need?- How can I help without forcing an agenda?💸 Money is the cherry on top, not the driver- The intros, the trust, the generosity: that’s the work.- The money follows because value was created, not because you asked for it.🤖 AI is making “being human” more valuable, not less- Soon, people will assume every DM, email, and LinkedIn post is AI-generated.- Which means: the most human people will stand out the most. And my favourite line of the episode 👇“Lean into your empathy and generosity. The rewards come after.”If you:- Make intros- Build relationships- Care more about people than pitch decks- And still want to get paid fairly for the value you create…this episode will hit home.

The Super Connectors NYC with Michael Roderick
“Connection rich, cash poor.”That line from my latest Super Connectors podcast episode with Michael Roderick hit hard.In Season 2 Episode 9, Michael breaks down what it really means to be a super connector, not as some flashy title, but as what he calls a “web spinner”:Stop trying to climb higher ladders. Start spinning bigger webs. 🕸️A few golden nuggets from our chat:💡 Ambiguity is kryptonite to a connectorIf you say “I’d like to meet anyone” you’ll meet no one. Specific asks = specific intros = real opportunities.🔑 You’re sitting on a pocket full of keys“The keys to all the doors we need opened are in other people’s pockets…but you’re also walking around with a pocket full of keys and no idea who you can help.”💸 Connection rich, cash poor is a real problemWe talked about the dark side of always “giving first”:– Making intros for everyone– Deals happening without you– And no clear, fair way to be rewardedThat’s where transparency comes in, and why tools like introstars help take the awkwardness out of:“I’d love to help you… but is there a referral fee if this turns into a deal?”Instead of weird money chats, you can simply say:“I use a platform that tracks intros and, if a deal happens, there’s a pre-agreed referral fee.”No drama. No guessing. No resentment. If you:Make a lot of introsWant to be known as “the connector”…but also don’t want to be brokethen this episode is very much for you.

The Super Connectors NYC with Lauren Friedman
🚨 New podcast drop: “The Suited Connector” is back… and she’s on a mission. In this week’s episode of The Super Connectors podcast, I sat down with the magnetic Lauren Friedman, a natural-born connector who’s helping build a global healing ecosystem. 👀 Yes, really.🌱 She’s not just about business intros. She’s connecting families to life-saving resources, founders to funders, and souls to purpose.💥 Golden quotes worth tattooing:“I’ve spent my whole life giving away introductions for free. But it’s time we make that fair.”“Every person I meet, I think… who can I connect them with?”“I’m not looking for anything transactional, but we all deserve to pay our bills.”💡 She’s scaling whygoproject.com helping people feel less alone, and yes, she might need an intro to Eddie Vedder (long story).

The Super Connectors NYC with Steve Spiro
🥋 He’s got a double black belt in karate and in human connection. In this week’s episode of The Super Connectors podcast, I sat down with Steve Spiro, the Master Connector himself, and wow! This guy doesn’t just talk about networking. He lives it, breathes it, tracks it, and yes… even monetizes it (without ever making it awkward).💥 Golden nuggets you’ll want to steal:“Networking is like prostitution. Connecting is where the magic happens.”“I don’t ask for anything. I just show up, and money follows.”“Success doesn’t come from randomness. You need a system.”👊 From growing up bullied and friendless to now running his own speaker series and inspiring thousands, Steve is living proof that anyone can become a master connector.⚡️Also: why tracking your intros (hello, introstars 👋) is a total game-changer.

The Super Connectors NYC with Jaime Schwarz
🎙️ “It’s never about today.”That line stuck with me from my chat with Jaime Schwarz - founder, brand therapist, connector, and full-time extrovert (even though he didn’t know it at first!).In this episode of The Super Connectors podcast, we dive into:🔹 Why the best connectors don’t try to be Super Connectors, they just are.🔹 How Jaime discovered he was an extrovert by accident (thank you, BBDO New York hallways).🔹 The weirdest part of monetising intros: when both sides of the deal say “You should’ve gotten paid!”… but no one actually pays you 😅🔹 Why transparency is 🔑 in introductions, and why tools like introstars change the game.🔹 And this gem:“You always err on the side of karma.”If you’re building your brand, making intros, or just trying to make sense of your network, this episode is a must-watch.
