There were some major problems going on in this Assembly/Congregation that were not even going on among the gentiles. When we read these chapters 1-5 we must always take things into context and understand who the audience is that is being spoken to. So often rather than not people leave these two so important things out when studying the scriptures. People often take them as though they are for everyone and even though some of them are for everyone we must keep this in mind as we go through them together. Everyone says they have the truth in all religions. That is the first clue. The Word "Religion", is a corruption in scripture. Messiah, the 12, Sha'ul going back to Abraham never taught about Religion. They taught about worship and true worship. If anyone claims to have a part of any religion or any denomination they don’t have very much truth at all. They will be filled with false doctrines. All a religion or denomination does is divide people and come in-between our relationship with the Father and the son. We are putting a man in-between us and them as soon as we do this.
