Triumph in Christ

Taken from Joshua 1:3, Deuteronomy 1:8, and other scriptures, this message addresses the importance of seeing your life, your future, your ministry, your finances -- all that relates to you -- as God sees those things. It is imperative, as this calendar year comes to a close, that you look forward to the new year as one who is victorious. You have the DNA of triumph on the inside of you as a child of the Most High God! We talked about the word DE-CIDE a few weeks ago. "DE" means to cut off or cut down. "CIDE" means to kill. When you see what God has for your life, as you delve into the Word of God and in the presence of God, you must also identify the things that must be cut out of your life in order for that God-given vision to materialize. You must cut off limiting beliefs. You must cut off limiting behaviors! There is so much more to this teaching. Listen to it and act on the instructions. Sometimes we can feel powerless or helpless, as if circumstances are so devastating that they cannot change. Just because you feel powerless does not mean that you actually are powerless. The enemy is trying to wear you down, but you don't have to take it! One vital benefit of a believer's salvation package is the power to stand and prevail against the devil and demonic forces. You have the authority to take the Word of God, the name of Jesus, and the power of the Holy Spirit and run satan out of your affairs. This teaching was a great reminder of the importance of the words we speak. The words we speak are spiritual, creative forces. Jesus said the words He speaks unto us are spirit and life. John 6:63. Words are a spiritual, creative force that shape the reality of what we experience. Scripture instructs us to declare the decree, and reminds us that we shall decree a thing and it shall be established unto us! Job 22:28; Psalm 2:7. You may have noticed that we are in the season of the Jewish High Holidays, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and Feast of Tabernacles. The Jewish New Year began October 2, 2024, ushering in the Hebrew calendar year 5785. Although we are Christians, there is, nonetheless, spiritual and prophetic significance in the Hebrew calendar. In this message, we share a portion of the significance of the New Year 5785. All Hebrew numbers also have an alphabet, letter, and a pictograph drawing. These have prophetic meaning. The years within the 5700's carry the meaning "May it be the year of." The last 2 digits in the 5700's are the decade and the year. The decade of the 80's is symbolized by the letter Peh, which represents a mouth, speech, and language. Jesus said, "out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks." Luke 6:45. Be circumspect about what comes out of your mouth. You will have what you say. The number 5 is represented by the letter Hey. It appears twice in the sacred name of God, Yahweh, and is a symbol of divinity. Specifically, it symbolizes Divine Breath, God's Creative Power, The Presence of God in the Human Heart, Spiritual Transformation by the Presence and Power of God, and God's Grace and Goodness. These aspects are addressed in detail with scripture references. Today we heard a wonderful testimony from a Triumph in Christ partner and Bible Study attendee who shared how the message at the beginnng of the year, from Psalm 65:11, is manifesting in her life! The message "All Hands on Deck! The Power of Intercession" was taken from 1 Timothy 2:1-4, Exodus 17:8-13, and 2 Kings Chapters 18 and 19. Especially during these times of natural disasters, racial injustices, human trafficking, sexual abuse, wars, terrorism, and a host of other issues, intercession is essential. Just as one man's intercession (e.g. Hezekiah) ushered in the power of God to save a nation, so our intercessions can bring about real, demonstrative change. There is so much more to this teaching. Especially during these times of natural disasters, racial injustices, human trafficking, sexual abuse, wars, terrorism, and a host of other issues, intercession is essential. Just as one man's intercession (e.g. Hezekiah) ushered in the power of God to save a nation, so our intercessions can bring about real, demonstrative change. There is so much more to this teaching. One point that was stressed today is: TRUTH, TEMPORARILY STALLED, IS MORE POWERFUL THAN A LIE, TEMPORARILY TRIUMPHANT. Another point is that the eagle, when fighting a serpent, doesn't fight the serpent on the ground, in the serpent's comfort zone. The eagle changes the battleground -- it carries the serpent high into the air, where the serpent is defenseless. Likewise, we cannot battle the enemy in the natural realm. We must change the battleground by doing battle in the spirit realm. That is where prayer and intercession are most effective. At any time, conditions, hearts, and circumstances are subject to change. This is, in part, why we cannot relent or give up in intercessory prayer. Intercession allows us to pray the heart of God. This message, "What Do You Expect?" focused on Prov. 23:18, Prov. 10:28, Joshua 2:9-18, and others. Do you realize it takes expectation (i.e., hope) for faith to operate? That's what Heb. 11:1 tells us. In Scripture, the word "expectation" is translated "hope." The Hebrew word for hope or expectation is Tiqvah, which literally means "a cord, a tether, an attachment." Whatever you are expecting you get attached to it and it gets attached to you. So even if you say you are believing for prosperity, but you expect it will be difficult for you to find a better job, or to start your business, etc., you need to understand that what you expect is what will manifest. Once you understand this principle, you can apply it to your advantage! You can use it to uplevel your life! The life of Rahab illustrates that this principle will work for anyone under any circumstance, and it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. The Bible says YOUR expectation shall not be cut off. Other people's expectations concerning you and your situation do not matter! This message is not a game-changer; it's a life-changer! Those present were truly blessed and helped by the message. Today's discussion was more free-flowing, as we addressed how to maintain hope when things around you seem to be screaming, "All hope is lost!" Hope is one of the three spiritual imperatives, along with faith and love, that must abide, according to 1 Cor. 13:13. You must maintain all three -- faith, hope, and love -- to operate effectively and triumphantly in this world. Hopelessness begets spiritual dryness, which begets weakness, leaving you vulnerable and susceptible to defeat. Therefore, you cannot lose hope. Do not allow what is going on in the 5-sense realm to undermine the power of God's promise! The valley of dry bones is a picture of lost hope, lost expectation, and spiritual dryness. It is a vivid picture of loss. . But the good news is dry bones and dry places can be revived! You must understand and know this. Jesus said, "You do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God." Matt. 22:29. You need to know these truths and apply them! Find out how to live in the joyous expectation of God's best! Joshua was stuck in a place where he was mourning over the death of Moses. He was stuck in a place that was no longer part of his future. Similarly, some believers are stuck in a past that is no longer serving them, and that has run its course. Believers are stuck in the lingering memories of a past that still impacts them, even though that past is over. It is time to arise and go forward! Don't rest, press! Sometimes we come to a pivot point, an inflection point, a place of change, where God has already ordered a shift! There is a shift in your favor, if you choose to position yourself, adjust, calibrate, and arise and go forward, just as Joshua did. Joshua had to pivot. He had to shift. He had to arise and go! This message provides instruction on how to do just that.  It looked like bad timing, because Joshua was instructed to move at a time when the Jordan River was in flood stage!
