Turning the Gem

Turning the Gem is a podcast where we come to the ancient text of the Bible with fresh eyes through the lens of Jewish Tradition and historical context. Kristian and Daniel give a crash course on the early books of scripture to pursue the wisdom the Biblical Authors intended to pass on. Diving in to the many deeply challenging stories of the Old Testament to find the deeper beauty just behind our typical reading of the text.This podcast is meant for those who are looking to come back to scripture, but do not know how to handle the many stories of violence, shame, hate, and brokenness. If you love Jesus, but are struggling to reconcile His love with Old Testament God, Turning the Gem may be a helpful tool.
