“Giving Shelter,” a sermon by Zan Spaihts-Mohns
In the 1980s, our church opened a shelter on our lower level—and the congregation nearly split over it. Now, with fear of the “other” on terrible display in our wider society, we will consider how we have also experienced that fear, and how we move through it to keep reaching out.
