Prayers: Come, Lord Jesus || Gospel of John
In this message, Rinus explore Jesus’ teaching on what genuine prayer looks like. In Matthew 6:5–15, Jesus invites us away from performance, empty repetition, and outward show, and calls us into a quiet, honest, and intimate conversation with our Father in heaven. This passage reminds us that prayer is not about impressing others. It’s about aligning our hearts with God’s will, trusting His provision, seeking His forgiveness, and walking in His grace. Together, we’ll reflect on the Lord’s Prayer as a model for how we approach God with humility, dependence, and sincerity, learning to pray not just with our lips but with our lives.

Jesus Appears || Gospel of John
This week, we step into a special sub‑series also titled “Jesus Appears,” where we turn our attention to the living, breathing stories of people whose lives have been transformed by unexpected encounters with Jesus. This service invites us to listen, reflect, and celebrate as individuals share their testimonies, moments when Jesus showed up in their darkest valleys, their quiet questions, their seasons of doubt, and their moments of breakthrough. These stories remind us that the Jesus who appeared to His disciples after the resurrection is the same Jesus who appears to us today: guiding, healing, restoring, and calling us by name.

Jesus Appears to Peter || Gospel of John
In this final message of our “Jesus Appears” series, we turn to one of the most tender and restorative moments in the Gospel of John. After the resurrection, Jesus appears to His disciples by the Sea of Galilee not with thunder or spectacle, but with breakfast, presence, and grace.

Jesus Appears to Thomas || Gospel of John
In this week’s message, we continue our “Jesus Appears” series by looking at one of the most honest and relatable moments in the Gospel of John Jesus’ appearance to Thomas. After the resurrection, Thomas wrestled with doubt, disappointment, and the tension between what he hoped for and what he could believe. Yet Jesus meets him with compassion, not condemnation.

Jesus Appears to the Disciples || Gospel of John
In John 20:19–23, the disciples are hiding behind locked doors, overwhelmed by fear and uncertainty. Yet it is in that very moment when hope feels distant and courage feels impossible that Jesus appears among them and speaks peace. In this message, Rinus reminds us that Jesus still meets us in the same way today. He steps into the rooms we hide in, the fears we carry, and the moments we least expect Him. His presence doesn’t wait for our confidence; it breaks through our fear and breathes new life, new purpose, and the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus Appears to Mary || Gospel of John
On this Easter Sunday, Caleb leads us through Mary Magdalene’s powerful encounter with the risen Jesus. Standing outside the empty tomb in her grief, Mary is met by the One who calls her by name and transforms her sorrow into hope. This passage invites us to see resurrection not only as a historic miracle, but as a personal moment of recognition where Jesus meets us, restores us, and sends us out with the good news of new life.

Trial II (Pilate) | Gospel of John
In John 18:28–19:16, Jesus stands before Pilate in a scene filled with tension, political pressure, and profound spiritual truth. This message explores the contrast between earthly authority and divine kingship, revealing how Jesus remains steadfast and sovereign even when subjected to injustice. We will reflect on Pilate’s struggle between conviction and compromise, the crowd’s shifting loyalties, and Jesus’ quiet yet unshakable declaration of truth. In this pivotal moment, the gospel exposes the human tendency to choose convenience over courage and invites us to consider how we respond when truth confronts us.This sermon calls us to see Christ not as a victim of circumstance, but as the willing, victorious King who walks toward the cross with purpose. Through His trial, we discover the depth of His love and the invitation to live as people shaped by His truth, not by fear or pressure.

March 22, 2026 Trial and Arrest I High Priest || Gospel of John
In John 18:1–27, we enter the shadows of Jesus’ arrest and His questioning before the high priest, a scene marked by betrayal, fear, and denial—yet even here, the light is not overcome. As Jesus stands steady and truthful in the midst of secrecy and hostility, His quiet courage reveals a light that continues to shine in the deepest darkness. This passage invites us to see how Christ’s faithfulness breaks through human frailty and fear, reminding us that even when the night feels strongest, the Light of the world remains present, unwavering, and victorious.

Mourning Into Dancing || The Gospel of John
In this series Caleb talks about the series "Mourning into Dancing" from John 16:16-33 where Jesus prepares His disciples for a coming season of deep sorrow. The Work of the Holy Spirit || Gospel of John
In this message, we explore Jesus’ promise of the Holy Spirit through the tension between our false self and our true identity in Christ. Drawing on Thomas Merton’s insight that the false self is the image we build to feel in control, the sermon names how easily we drift from our own humanity and from who we are in Jesus. Even as Judas abandons the group and Peter faces his coming denial, Jesus refuses the path of self‑protection or self‑elevation. Instead, He embraces humility and entrusts Himself to the Father. Into this fragile moment, Jesus promises the Spirit of truth. The One who exposes illusion, reveals our need, guides us into truth, and continues God’s work in the world. Through the Spirit, we learn to resist the false self and live from the freedom of our true self in Christ.

Opposition From The World || Gospel of John
In this teaching from John 15:18–25, we explore Jesus’ sobering yet hope-filled words about the reality of opposition from the world. Jesus prepares His disciples and us for the truth that following Him will not always be met with acceptance. The world that rejected Him will often resist those who bear His name

The Parable of the Soils || The Scandalous Kingdom
In a world where kingdoms rise through power, influence, and spectacle, Jesus announces a Kingdom so upside‑down, so unexpected, it feels almost scandalous. Through the Parable of the Soils, He reveals that the Kingdom doesn’t advance through force but through a simple seed. His Word falling into the hidden places of the human heart. This series invites us into that tension: a generous Sower scattering truth everywhere, soils that respond in dramatically different ways, and a Kingdom that grows quietly, subversively, and supernaturally. As we explore Matthew 13:1–23, we’ll confront the barriers that choke out spiritual life, discover the conditions that allow faith to flourish, and witness the surprising power of God to transform even the most unlikely ground.

The Great Banquet | The Scandalous Kingdom
In Rinus preaching, God’s heart is revealed through a story that overturns every expectation. In Luke 14:15–24, Jesus paints a picture of a banquet lavish, joyful, overflowing with abundance prepared long before the guests ever knew they were invited. But the shock of the story isn’t the feast itself. It’s the guest list. Those who were expected to come refuse the invitation. They’re distracted, preoccupied, convinced they have better things to do. And so the host does something outrageous. He widens the invitation. He sends his servants into the streets, the alleys, the forgotten corners of the city. He gathers the poor, the broken, the overlooked, the ones who never imagined they’d be welcomed to a king’s table.

The Good Samaritan || The Scandalous Kingdom
In a world that often draws sharp lines between “us” and “them,” Jesus tells a story that shatters every boundary we cling to. The parable of the Good Samaritan isn’t just a lesson in kindness it’s a radical unveiling of God’s upside‑down Kingdom, where mercy overrides merit, compassion outweighs convenience, and love crosses every barrier we build. This message explores what happens when the scandalous grace of God meets the brokenness of our world. Through Jesus’ conversation with a law expert and the unforgettable story that follows, we’re invited to see our neighbours differently, to examine the posture of our own hearts, and to embody a love that reflects the very heart of Christ

The Vineyard Workers || The Scandalous Kingdom
In this message, we explore Jesus’ parable of the Vineyard Workers. A story that disrupts our assumptions about fairness and challenges the way we see God, ourselves, and others. Jesus paints a picture of a kingdom where grace overturns entitlement, where the last are welcomed as the first, and where God’s generosity refuses to fit into our human standards of merit and reward. This passage invites us to wrestle with a God who gives not according to what we think we deserve, but according to His overflowing mercy. As we walk through the story, we’ll reflect on what it means to trust a God whose goodness is “scandalous” by earthly standards and how this upside‑down generosity calls us to live differently in our relationships, our expectations, and our discipleship.

The Unforgiving Servant || The Scandalous Kingdom
In this message, Rinus explore Jesus’ parable of the Unforgiving Servant in Matthew 18:23–35—a story that exposes the shocking contrast between God’s extravagant mercy and our struggle to forgive. The Kingdom of God is scandalous because it calls us to extend the same grace we’ve freely received. This teaching challenges us to release bitterness, embrace forgiveness, and live out the radical mercy of our King.

The mustard seed and The yeast from Matthew 13:31–35.What looks small, hidden, or insignificant becomes the very thing God uses to transform everything around it. Caleb unpacks how the Kingdom of God often begins in unexpected ways, grows beyond what we imagine, and works quietly beneath the surface until it changes lives, communities, and the world. This introduction invites us to rethink what true kingdom influence looks like and challenges us to trust God’s work even when we can’t yet see the results.
