    Spring 2024: Forum aims to help students develop healthy body image, self-esteem

    A psychology professor introduced Augustana to The Body Project in an attempt to build body positivity in young women. With contributions from a sociology professor and students, the initiative aims to break down unrealistic beauty standards and provide students with tools to combat poor body satisfaction.     Spring 2024: Community celebrates third Diversity Summit

    The Augustana Student Association held its third annual Diversity Summit on April 6 as an effort to encourage more diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives at the school.  With the theme of teaching attendees how to be better citizens, the summit provided an opportunity for people to learn how to be good neighbors in a diverse world.     Fall 2023: Sophomore to compete in 2024 U.S. Olympic Swim Trials

    On Nov. 15, one sophomore swimmer earned a spot in the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials with a time of 25.69 in the 50-meter freestyle.  Held at the Midco Aquatic Center, the event marked the first time Bryn Greenwaldt swam in a long-course meters pool.  In this episode of Viking Reflections, Greenwaldt and head swimming and diving coach Andrew Makepeace discuss the achievement.
