Big Government Breaks Healthcare but the Church Has the Cure by Mike Sharman on May 14, 2026

In this insightful interview, Doug Apple talks with Mike Sharman about the complex landscape of healthcare laws and the rising tide of government intervention. They discuss recent legislative changes in Virginia that claim to provide affordability but often result in "float" for insurance companies and revoked authorizations for patients. Sharman argues that the true solution to the healthcare crisis isn't more regulation, but truth, transparency, and a return to the church's original role in caring for its own. -- The "Unintended" Consequences: How bills labeled for "affordability" can actually allow insurance carriers to break promises on prior authorizations and delay payments to doctors. -- The Problem with "Big": Why the massive scale of government and corporate monopolies creates a lumbering bureaucracy that hurts the individual consumer. -- The Power of the Free Market: Why competition and price transparency are real ways to lower costs and improve medical outcomes. -- A Biblical Oasis: An introduction to Share HealthCare, a Christian medical ministry that operates outside the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) to provide financial and spiritual freedom. -- Rooted in Tradition: How the practice of healthcare sharing traces back to the Anabaptist communities and the early church’s commitment to "distributing to the needs of the saints." -- Reclaiming the Church's Role: A call for the body of Christ to step back into its responsibility of providing for one another's needs rather than outsourcing compassion to the government. Stay Put by Pastor Kortney Fitzhugh on Sunday, May 10, 2026

In this powerful teaching, Pastor Kortney Fitzhugh breaks down the reality of what it means to be "blessed and highly favored." Using the story of Noah from Genesis 6 and 7, she challenges our modern definition of favor, reminding us that Noah didn't campaign for the ark, he was drafted into it. This message is for the dreamers who have grown weary, the leaders who feel isolated, and the "overthinkers" who are tired of trying to map out a future only God can see. Pastor Fitzhugh highlights several key shifts in perspective for anyone feeling the "burden" of their assignment: -- The True Definition of Favor: Real favor is not about personal gain or social media influence, but about being recruited for a righteous work that benefits others. -- The "What" Before the "Why": God often provides specific instructions on what to build long before He explains why you are building it. -- Attendance vs. Assistance: Recognizing the difference between spectators who watch you work and the "qualified help" God sends to help you carry the vision. -- The Hidden Timeline: Understanding that while the "rain" may last 40 days, the "wait" for the waters to recede can last a year, and your only job is to remain obedient inside the ark. -- No Rudder, No Problem: Learning to trust God when He shuts the door and provides no steering wheel, knowing that He is the one navigating the flood. Timeless Secrets from the Bible’s Most Resilient Mothers by Pastor Mike Jenkins on Sunday, May 10, 2026

From the early 1900s political campaigns of Anna Jarvis to the ancient legacies of Sarah and Mary, motherhood has always been a position of strategic spiritual influence. Pastor Mike Jenkins explores how mothers serve as the primary "spiritual coaches" in the household, managing faith formation and laying moral foundations that last for generations. Through the stories of biblical mothers who faced barrenness, fear, and public shame, we see a recurring theme: a mother’s faith is often the anchor of God’s redemption plan for a family. -- Mothers are the primary spiritual leaders in the home, leading conversations about God and the Bible over 70% of the time according to research. -- The "domestic church" is built through daily routines like morning prayer, scripture reading, and the integration of faith into mundane moments. -- Biblical examples like Jochebed and Hannah show that a mother’s courage and persistence in prayer can literally change the course of a nation’s history. -- Mary, the mother of Jesus, provides a roadmap for navigating "impossible" situations with quiet strength and a heart that treasures God’s small daily moments. -- Intergenerational faith is a crucial link, as seen in the lives of Eunice and Lois, who passed a sincere faith down to Timothy. A Mother's Yes by Pastor Addy Reilly on Sunday, May 10, 2026

In this Mother’s Day message, Pastor Addy Reilly explores the life-altering power of a simple "yes." By comparing the reactions of Zechariah and the Virgin Mary to angelic promises, she challenges us to move past performing religious duties and into a space of radical trust. Whether you are walking through a season of joy or a season of barrenness and hurt, this teaching reveals how the Lord meets us in our mess and honors every surrender with divine access. -- The difference between asking "How do I know this is true?" (doubt) versus "How will this be?" (faith). -- How Mary’s surrender of her reputation and safety led to her having unique access to the first miracle of Jesus. -- The reality that God’s faithfulness is an inherent part of His character, not a reward for our perfect performance. -- Understanding the provision of Jesus on the cross, specifically how He cared for His mother in His final moments. -- Encouragement for those who find Mother’s Day difficult, reminding them that God does not shy away from our sorrow. 5. A Life of Prayer // Andrea Kramer

We often treat prayer like a "break glass in case of emergency" button rather than the oxygen of our daily lives. In this message, Andrea Kramer breaks down the fundamentals of prayer based on the Sermon on the Mount, moving us from eloquent babbling to authentic, private intimacy with the Father. -- Finding a location for prayer is the first step toward consistency; Jesus didn't start with the language of prayer, He started with the place. -- Creating a "prayer closet" or a designated spot transforms an ordinary space into a holy one through the intentionality of meeting with God. -- Privacy is a requirement for spiritual growth because while people can encourage you, only God can provide the ultimate answers and heart transformations you need. -- We must invite the Holy Spirit to shape our prayers, allowing Him to move us from our selfish desires to the perfect, harmonious will of the Father. -- Consistency in the basics is what prepares us for the battles; just like fundamentals in sports, we never "outgrow" the need for simple, honest communication with God. -- Bringing a physical Bible and a journal into your prayer time helps eliminate digital distractions and creates a written testimony of God’s faithfulness over time. The Duties of Love - Part 4 by Pastor Omar Ellison on Sunday, May 10, 2026

In this powerful continuation of the "Duties of Love" series, Pastor Omar Ellison challenges our cultural understanding of romance and emotion, pointing us back to the biblical reality of love as a moral obligation and a personal commitment. He explores the deep connection between our ability to receive God's love and our capacity to forgive others, revealing that bitterness and fear are simply the results of not knowing how much we are truly cherished by the Father. -- Love is not an emotion or a feeling that comes and goes; it is a conscious decision made by faith, modeled after how Christ loved us while we were still sinners. -- Fear is the true enemy of love, not hate. When we feel tormented by anxiety or "what if" scenarios, it is a sign that we have not yet been made perfect in the realization of God's love. -- There is a vital shift in how we view forgiveness between the Law and Grace. Under the Law, we forgave to be forgiven; under Grace, we forgive because we have already been forgiven through Christ's sacrifice. -- Bitterness is compared to the sycamine tree, which becomes bitter through repeated stings. The only way to avoid this spiritual toxicity is to learn to "forgive like lightning." -- Walking in love means walking in the love you receive, not just the love you give. When you are convinced that God is "crazy about you," it changes how you handle every battle, bill, and medical report. Divine Abundance and Supernatural Provision by Apostle Otis B. Young on Sunday, May 10, 2026

Moving the Chain Forward: A Call to Radical Faith Are you waiting on God, or is God waiting on your faith? Apostle Otis B. Young delivers a powerful word on the necessity of moving forward in faith, even when the provision isn't visible to the natural eye. Drawing from the life of Moses and the Hall of Faith in Hebrews 11, this message breaks down the difference between "fake praise" and the "just living by faith." The teaching focuses on three pivotal movements: moving forward despite the circumstances, understanding why God "hides" His chosen ones for a season, and embracing a prophetic identity that refuses to be ordinary. Whether you are facing challenges on the job, in your family, or in your finances, this message provides the spiritual blueprint to shift from struggle to supernatural victory. -- One thing God said to me so clearly: one thing you’re not going to do is call me a liar. Every time we refuse to have faith, we are essentially questioning the character and DNA of God. -- Faith is not just lip service; it is a comprehensive way of life and a daily, ongoing trust in God’s faithfulness and His Word. -- Rejection is often divine protection. Just as Moses was hidden for three months, God may be hiding you from circles, chats, and scandals to preserve your prophetic destiny. -- You are the righteousness of God, not because of your perfection or your past, but because you are justified by your trust in Jesus. -- God is a specialist in the impossible. He majors in the areas where man sees no way out, moving the chain forward even when you can’t trace His hand. False Ideas About Truth - Part 8 by Dr. Joe L. Mott on May 11, 2026

References: In this episode, Dr. Joe L. Mott explores the shift from modernism to postmodernism, identifying how society moved from exalting human reason to denying the existence of objective truth altogether. By examining the Greek origins of the word "truth" in the Gospel of John, Dr. Mott reveals that God’s Word is not merely a collection of true statements, but the ultimate reference point for all existence. He provides a sharp critique of pluralism, the idea that every perspective is equally valid, and demonstrates how a worldview without absolute truth eventually destroys our ability to communicate and understand the world around us. -- Postmodernism is defined as a philosophy that denies objective or absolute truth, especially regarding religion and spirituality. -- While modernism exalted human reason and science while denying the supernatural, postmodernism was born out of disillusionment when those promises failed to improve humanity. -- Pluralism treats truth like a preference for an ice cream flavor, suggesting that no one can ever be wrong, which ultimately renders "truth" meaningless. -- The Bible is the final standard of truth (alathia), meaning it is the reference point by which every other claim must be measured. -- Postmodernism is logically self-defeating because it affirms one absolute truth: the statement that there is no absolute truth. -- The Gospel of John stands in direct opposition to postmodern thought, using words for "truth," "testimony," and "knowing" hundreds of times to emphasize objective reality. -- Without an objective truth outside of ourselves, we are left only with subjective experiences, which destroys the possibility of meaningful communication between people. From the Marine Corps to the County Sheriff's Office: Sergeant Shawn Edwards on May 11, 2026

Sergeant Shawn Edwards of the Leon County Sheriff's Office joins Javonni Hampton to discuss his unconventional transition from a high school senior to a United States Marine, and eventually, a veteran law enforcement officer. He dives deep into the discipline required to lead a platoon of 84 people, the struggle of finding a new identity after service, and how the "teachable moments" on the job have shaped him as a father. -- In 1992, Shawn Edwards left high school halfway through his senior year to join the Marine Corps, returning to walk across the stage for graduation. -- Military leadership taught him that being a Sergeant is a 24-7 responsibility where you are literally responsible for the lives and well-being of someone else’s child. -- Transitioning to civilian life can lead to a loss of identity; Edwards describes the shift from commanding a platoon to starting over as a correctional officer in 2003. -- Effective law enforcement relies more on communication than physical force, noting that a deputy's "best weapon" is their mouth. -- A traumatic response to a bus accident involving a local youth club profoundly impacted his parenting style, leading to a long-term protective stance over his own children's safety. -- Career advice for the next generation includes keeping a clean record, as youthful mistakes can follow you into a professional law enforcement career. +++++++ This is episode 014. Living in God's Grace by James Gutierrez of Chi Alpha on Sunday, May 3, 2026

Finding Freedom in a Culture of Performance In this insightful teaching, James Gutierrez explores the lifelong education of a believer. While we often look for tangible markers of progress, true spiritual growth isn't found in a checklist of rituals, but in the growing presence of joy, peace, and the ability to forgive. By examining the historical context of Paul’s letter to the Galatians, James highlights the age-old tension between "Jesus alone" and "Jesus plus something else." This message is a vital reminder that God's grace is not a passive concept, but an active force meant to grow us and set us free from the fear of failure. -- Understating that legalism is rooted in a desire for control and a fear of unconditional love. -- Recognizing that the fruit of legalism is fear, which creates tiers of "quality" Christians and destroys authentic community. -- Learning to share each other's burdens as a primary way to obey the "law of Christ" and defeat isolation. -- The necessity of maintaining a "learner’s heart" to remain open to the Holy Spirit’s teaching. -- Embracing celebration as the completion of worship, dwelling on God's goodness rather than our next task. Mountain Moving Faith by Bobbie Agee

When we face life's obstacles, it is easy to fall into a pattern of whining, complaining, or begging God for help. However, we must remember that God is moved by faith, not by our complaints. As His children, we don't have to plead like outsiders. God wants us to have the desires of our hearts, and He has already given us the tool to obtain them. Many people feel they lack the "big faith" required for a miracle. Yet, Jesus tells us in Matthew 17:20 that if we have faith as a mustard seed, we can tell a mountain to move and it will obey. A mustard seed is only the size of a small poppy seed. You don't need a mountain of faith to move a mountain of a problem; you only need a small amount of genuine trust in a big God. Faith is not something we wait for; it is something we build. Romans 10:17 teaches that faith comes by hearing the Word of God. Think of it like baking a cake. Whatever ingredients you put in are what you will get out. If you put in the Word and meditate on it, you will reap the benefits of His promises. But if you focus on negative reports, doctor's opinions, or your own feelings, you feed unbelief. We can look to the example of Abraham. At one hundred years old, he refused to consider the deadness of his own body or Sarah’s womb. He didn't worry or doubt because he was fully persuaded that God was able to do what He promised. He essentially told the devil to "shut up" and chose to believe God's report over his natural circumstances. Your imagination also plays a vital role. Proverb 23:7 says that as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. You must use your "inner eyes" to see the manifestation of God's word before it appears in the natural. Whether you are believing for healing, a godly spouse, or financial provision, you must hold that image in your heart until it becomes more real than the pain in your body or the lack in your bank account. Finally, remember that faith works through love. If you truly understood how much God loves you, your faith would shoot through the roof. God is love, and He loves you more than any earthly parent could ever love their child. When you rest in that love, you can stop struggling and start receiving. Prayer - Part 1 by Pastor Jack King on Saturday, May 9, 2026

Entering the Secret Place: A Guide to Authentic Prayer In "Prayer - Part 1," Pastor Jack King explores the foundational elements of the prayer life Jesus modeled for His followers. Rather than a ritual to be performed for an audience, prayer is presented as a "spiritual portal" where the human heart meets the Divine in total transparency. Pastor King emphasizes that the effectiveness of our prayers is tied directly to our heart condition and our willingness to come to the end of our own arrogance. -- The importance of the "Prayer Closet" as a place of absolute honesty where nothing is hidden from God. -- A breakdown of the phrase "Our Father which art in heaven" and why acknowledging God’s fatherhood and His dwelling place is a massive step of faith. -- The role of the Holy Spirit as our advocate who reads our hearts and even prays for us when we don't have the words. -- The journey of the Prodigal Son as the ultimate example of "coming to oneself" and returning to the Father with a contrite spirit. -- How God "woos" those far from Him, softening hard hearts until they are ready to enter into a dialogue of confession and acceptance. I thank God that you believed in me, that God would use me well; a life well lived of righteousness, in all good things, excel. I thank God you are my Mom, indeed, Thank you, Mom, you are my gift; from God’s own hand of loving grace, my song will so uplift. Dear Mom, I love you ever so, and would not be remiss; your loving son did write this song, and sealed it with a kiss. Amen.

You Are a Champion by Pastor Joseph Davis on Sunday, May 3, 2026

In this final installment of the series, "The Story Isn't Over," Pastor Joseph Davis shifts from teaching ethics and character to making a prophetic decree over your life. This message serves as a reminder that your current struggle is not the end of your book, but rather a setup for a calculated victory. Using the story of David, Pastor Davis illustrates that a champion isn't someone who never faces trouble, but someone who knows which battles are worth the fight and refuses to let the enemy swallow up their destiny. -- There is a prophecy over your life simply because you are here, God intended for you to exist and has a vision for your future. -- Building "God's way" means following divine specs and code, when you build with character and integrity, God promises to fill what you have built with His glory and take ownership of it. -- God is sovereign even over your pain and grief, He never allows you to enter a trial unless He has already calculated a way for you to come out with a victory. -- Champions must learn to ignore "Eliabs," people who try to belittle you because they are intimidated by your presence or project their own smallness onto you. -- Discernment in warfare is key, stop wasting emotional energy on "fruitless fights" like social media arguments and save your strength for the battles that affect your destiny and family. -- Your past victories in secret, like David’s lion and bear, are the resume that proves you are ready for the public giants you face today. The Duties of Love - Part 3 by Pastor Omar Ellison on Sunday, May 3, 2026

In "The Duties of Love - Part 3," Pastor Omar Ellison explains that the foundation of the Christian walk is not our love for God, but our conscious awareness of His overwhelming love for us. Using First John 4 and John 17 as anchors, Pastor Ellison demonstrates that faith is not a product of willpower, but a byproduct of intimacy. When we are rooted and grounded in the love of Christ, our lives naturally produce "exploits" and a supernatural strength that the world cannot understand. -- Knowing God is a process that begins with being drawn by His Spirit and requires a decision to believe in His reality. -- Service and ministry should never be sought outside of intimacy, they are birthed from the relationship, not performed to earn it. -- Agape love is a decision, not an emotion, and it is most powerful when we decide to love those who are "unlovely." -- The "portrait in the master bedroom" represents the personal, preferential love God has for every one of His children. -- Faith works by love, specifically the love we receive from God rather than the love we try to give out. -- Experiencing God marks a person, creating a "tattoo" of Christ’s character on every area of their life, from their business to their bank account. The Bible in Song – Creation's Truth - Part 4 - Anchored by Truth - May 5, 2026

The modern church often shies away from the literal creation account to avoid cultural conflict, but doing so compromises the integrity of the Gospel. This discussion dives deep into the theological necessity of God as Creator, explaining that if He does not own the universe by right of creation, He has no authority to save it by right of redemption. -- The inseparable link between Jesus as Creator and Jesus as Savior. -- Why "contingent beings" like humans and angels require an "independent being" as their source. -- The concept of "merism" in Genesis and how it proves God’s total authority over the seen and unseen. -- Understanding "cosmic treason" and why sin is an offense against a Sovereign Ruler. -- Two Rebellions, One Redemption: Why God provided a way out for man but not for fallen angels. -- The role of music in reclaiming cultural virtues and proclaiming Biblical truth. From the Cross to Pentecost - Part 4 by Pastor Steve Dow on Sunday, May 3, 2026

In this fourth installment of the "From the Cross to Pentecost" series, Pastor Steve Dow explores the transformative period leading up to the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. He focuses on the profound truth that we serve a God of restoration. By examining the lives of biblical figures like Peter, John Mark, Jonah, Moses, and David, this teaching illustrates that failure is a temporary state, not a permanent identity. Whether you are facing the consequences of your own choices or feeling overwhelmed by life's hardships, this message provides a roadmap for moving from defeat to divine purpose. -- Pastor Steve Dow emphasizes that the 50 days between the Resurrection and Pentecost were crucial for building the character of the disciples, proving that God doesn't write us off after a mistake. -- The restoration of Peter serves as a primary example, showing how a man who cursed and denied Jesus was personally recommissioned to "feed my sheep" and eventually led 3,000 souls to Christ. -- The story of John Mark highlights that even those who struggle with fear and "stick-to-it-iveness" can become profitable for the ministry through a second chance. -- Through the life of Jonah, we see that sometimes our second chance is not just for us, but serves as the doorway for an entire city or group of people to find repentance. -- Using the example of Abraham Lincoln's many defeats, the message encourages believers to embrace perseverance, reminding us that the steps of a good man are established by the Lord, even when he falls. 5. Cancelling Cancel Culture // Russell Siemer

Cancelling Cancel Culture: How Jesus Removes Shame, Not Just Sin In this deeply personal and biblically rich message, Russell Seimer confronts one of the most damaging mindsets of our time, cancel culture. He reveals how this same pattern operates spiritually through shame, keeping believers trapped in their past instead of walking in freedom. By tracing a powerful thread from the Garden of Eden to the cross of Jesus Christ, this message uncovers a profound truth. God’s plan was never just to cover sin, but to completely remove shame and restore humanity to its original design. -- Humanity was created to live in complete freedom from shame, in full communion with God -- Shame entered through sin and has been used by the enemy ever since to distort identity -- The heart of God has always been merciful, patient, and loving, fully revealed in Jesus -- Jesus does not cancel people for their failures, He restores them through grace -- True transformation comes from receiving forgiveness, not earning it -- Many believers struggle not because God hasn’t forgiven them, but because they haven’t forgiven themselves -- The cross did more than cover sin, it permanently removed it and separated us from our old identity -- Freedom comes when we stop identifying with our past and start embracing who we are in Christ Scriptures for Further Study -- Genesis 2:25 -- Genesis 3:8-10, 21 -- John 8:1-11 -- John 14:9 -- Ephesians 2:1-5 -- Hebrews 1:3 +++++++ Join us for church this Sunday. Sticktoittiveness by Apostle Otis B. Young on Sunday, May 3, 2026

Sticktoittiveness: The Faith That Unlocks Breakthrough In this passionate and prophetic message, Apostle Otis B. Young delivers a timely word on the power of spiritual persistence. Through biblical examples and powerful exhortation, he challenges believers to remain steadfast, stay in position, and refuse to give up, even in the face of opposition, delay, or discouragement. This message centers on a simple but life-changing truth: your breakthrough may be closer than you think, but it requires sticktoittiveness to receive it. -- Sticktoittiveness means getting back up every time you fall and refusing to quit -- Staying in position spiritually is critical, moving too soon can cause you to miss your miracle -- Faith requires endurance, especially when facing trials, distractions, and opposition -- Your assignment from God does not change, even when circumstances become difficult -- Persistence in prayer and faith gets Heaven’s attention and produces immediate results -- Internal doubt and negative self-talk must be overcome to walk in true faith -- God’s timing and character can be trusted, even when answers seem delayed -- Breakthrough happens when request, persistence, and faith come together Scriptures for Further Study -- 1 Corinthians 16:13 -- James 1:12 -- Hebrews 10:23 -- Acts 20:24 -- Mark 10:46-52 +++++++ Find more information on our website here: https://www.teamkingdom.business/

False Ideas About Truth - Part 7 by Dr. Joe L. Mott on May 4, 2026

References: (1) Chapter 53 of the Book of Isaiah. This chapter is known as the “Suffering Servant” passage in the Bible, which describes a FIGURE who suffers for the sins of others. Christians INTERPRET this chapter as a PROPHETIC DESCRIPTION of Jesus’ suffering, death, and resurrection, highlighting key parallels between the text and the RECORDED EVENTS of the crucifixion. (2) Isa. 53 refers to the crucifixion of Jesus so CLEARLY that Judaism is THREATENED and MORTIFIED by its contents that Christians refer to it as proving that Jesus is the Messiah. Judaism voices a STRONG OBJECTION that Isaiah 53 proves Jesus is the Messiah. But they have COMPLETELY ELIMINATED this chapter from their OT scriptures because Christians use it so tellingly to Judaism’s CONSTERNATION. (3) If we study Isa. 53 and interpret every phrase as a prophecy about Jesus being the Suffering Servant then we observe at least 30 prophecies fulfilled by Jesus. That’s more than anyone can tolerate in a short episode. So allow me to give just 6 such prophecies. A. Verse 3 states that the suffering servant is “despised and rejected of men.” This is mirrored in the New Testament, where Jesus is rejected by many, including the religious leaders and many of His own people. John 1:11 informs us, “He came unto His own, and His own did not receive Him.” This description closely matches the Gospel accounts. Even at His trial before Pontius Pilate, the crowd chose BARABBAS over Him (Luke 23:18; Acts 3:13-15). This rejection fulfills Isaiah’s portrayal of a Suffering Servant. B. Verse 5 mentions that the servant was “wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.” Christians interpret this as a DIRECT REFERENCE to Jesus' CRUCIFIXION, where He is seen as the ultimate sacrifice for sin as 1 Peter 2:24 relates. C. Verse 7 — “He was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter.” This is reflected in Jesus’ silence during His trial before the high priest and before Pontius Pilate. D. Verse 8 says “He was ‘cut off’ from the land of the living.” Daniel 9:26 predicts the Messiah will be “cut off,” a reference to the crucifixion. Arguably the most amazing prophecy in the Bible is Daniel’s prophecy that reveals the exact week when Jesus died on the cross in Jerusalem. This is announced in a message given to the prophet Daniel and recorded in book of Daniel 9:24-27 and is identified as the ‘Seventy weeks prophecy.” If you wish to understand more about this, contact Doug Apple at Wave 94. E. Verse 9 states, “And they made His grave with the wicked — but with the rich at His death.” This is paralleled in the New Testament, where A RICH MAN and a member of the Sanhedrin, Joseph of Arimathea, asked for Jesus’ body so that Jesus is buried in his new tomb carved out of stone (Matthew 27:57-60). F. Verse 10 states, “But the LORD was pleased to CRUSH Him, putting Him to GRIEF; If He would render Himself as a GUILT OFFERING.” God the Father accepted Jesus’ sacrifice as an OFFERING. There is ONE GREAT EVENT in the world’s history, ONE GREAT TRANSACTION, ONE GREAT OBSERVATION that attracts more ADMIRATION than any other day of the year except possibly the celebration of His birth. That EVENT, that TRANSACTION, that OBSERVATION is the DEATH of our Lord Jesus Christ. If Isaiah 53 gives us 30 prophecies fulfilled by Jesus that means that the probability that can happen is 1 in 2^30 or approximately 1 in 10^9. (4) Taking verse 10 as our GUIDE, let’s visit Mount Calvary and look more concertedly on Him who died upon the cross. A. Notice first of all, the CAUSE of Christ’s death — Literally it pleased Jehovah to bruise Him. B. Secondly, notice the REASON for Christ’s death — “When You (Jehovah) shall make His soul an OFFERING for sin.” This is episode 274.

The Battle Is Not Yours by Servant Marcia Carty on May 4, 2026

The Blueprint for Victory in the Days of Noah As the world experiences increasing turbulence and "iniquity abounds," it is easy for believers to feel overwhelmed by the magnitude of the spiritual and physical battles we face. Servant Marcia Carty breaks down the historical precedents of Enoch, Noah, and King Jehoshaphat to show that our current struggles are part of a larger divine timeline. The key to navigating these days is not found in our own strength, but in a specific posture of prayer, fasting, and radical trust. This teaching serves as a reminder that even when we are put on public display or facing "unspeakable" battles, the Lord provides a way of escape and a promise of a new heaven and a new earth. -- In the days of Noah, technology and wickedness mirrored our current society, yet God provided a way of salvation for the upright. -- King Jehoshaphat’s strategy for victory began with seeking the face of the Lord and calling for a fast rather than gathering weapons. -- Standing still does not mean doing nothing, it means having the courage to face the enemy while trusting God to set the ambush. -- Prayer is the most effective weapon against the betrayal of friends and the oppression of the wicked. -- In 2026, as disclosure and environmental changes occur, our hope remains in the Ancient of Days who rules over all kingdoms. -- Repentance and a contrite spirit are the requirements for those who wish to eat, drink, and rejoice while the world faces judgment. A Sword in Your Mouth by Melinda Carroll

In this powerful episode of An Overcoming Life, Melinda Carroll joins host Frank Agee to deliver a timely message on spiritual warfare. While many believers focus on the defensive pieces of God's armor, Melinda dives deep into the "Sword of the Spirit," explaining why your mouth is the delivery system for God's power. Drawing from the imagery of Isaiah and the historical accounts of the spies in Canaan, she teaches listeners how to transform their speech from "thoughtless words" into "polished arrows" that accomplish exactly what God intended. -- The Sword of the Spirit is the only offensive weapon mentioned in the Armor of God, designed not just to protect, but to defeat the enemy. -- A "polished shaft" represents a word that is well oiled by the Holy Spirit, free of the rust of doubt, allowing it to hit its target with pinpoint accuracy. -- Faith and unbelief are revealed by the report of our lips, as seen in the story of the twelve spies, where ten spoke death and two spoke life. -- Jesus modeled the use of this weapon during His temptation, defeating Satan by repeatedly declaring, "It is written." -- God is currently raising people off "deathbeds of affliction," and we must catch our words to ensure they align with His healing power. God Bless America by Pastor Jack King on Sunday, May 3, 2026

The Spiritual Battle for the Soul of a Nation In this sobering yet hopeful message, Pastor Jack King addresses the current state of America through the lens of spiritual warfare. Drawing on historical events and the biblical warnings found in the works of Jonathan Cahn, Pastor King explores how the removal of prayer and scripture from the public square has created a vacuum now being filled by ancient, darker influences. He calls for a "pushback" that begins in the heart of every believer and extends to the next generation through a renewed love for the Word of God. -- Our current times are troubled, marked by frequent attempts on the lives of our leaders and a visible rise in societal evil, reflecting a deeper spiritual conflict. -- Drawing from the concept of the "Return of the Gods," the message explains that when a house is left empty and unattended—by removing prayer and the Bible—other spirits move in to occupy the space. -- The "BDQ Club" (Bible Drama and Quizzing) is a new initiative designed to reconnect young people with the scriptures, fostering a deep, personal love for the Word of God. -- Reflecting on the recent assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, Pastor King discusses the providential protection over national leaders and what it means for the future of the country. -- The ultimate tool to defeat evil is not found in carnal weapons, but in the commitment to daily scripture reading and the full armor of God. Early by Pastor Jack King on Saturday, May 2, 2026

In this moving message, Pastor Jack King breaks down the original meaning of seeking God "early." While we often think of the morning hours, the biblical root implies a spirit of earnestness and diligence. Whether you are struggling with a "troubled spirit" like King Saul or seeking the heart of God like the shepherd boy David, this teaching provides a roadmap for moving past religious pretension into a sincere, love-love relationship with the Father. -- Pastor King explains the Hebrew significance of the word "early," moving it from a timeframe to a state of the heart. -- A look at the contrast between the Pharisee's elaborate, public prayers and the humble, sincere cry of the tax collector. -- Why Jesus cleansed the temple of "thieves" and what that means for our own hearts today. -- The power of the Holy Spirit to intercede 24/7, turning total spiritual darkness into a miraculous encounter with light. -- A reminder that Christianity is unique because it doesn't ask us to hide our imperfections, but to bring them into the light of God's grace. After This! by Pastor Joseph Davis on Sunday, April 26, 2026

In this powerful teaching, Pastor Joseph Davis explores the concept of God’s sovereignty in the midst of human suffering. Using the life of Simon Peter as a backdrop, Pastor Davis explains that while the enemy desires to "sift us as wheat," God has already prayed for us in advance. The message challenges listeners to shift from a worldly perspective to an eternal one, realizing that God doesn't just watch our pain—He reigns over it. -- God is more interested in the endurance of your faith than the comfort of your circumstances, often allowing testing to prove your faith is genuine. -- Staying "on your toes" is a spiritual necessity, providing the agility and flexibility needed to move forward even when the enemy tries to shake your foundation. -- Your setbacks are not surprises to God; He often calculates the rebound and the comeback before the trial even begins. -- Like Moses or Job, your perceived weaknesses or losses do not disqualify you from being used by God; rather, they provide the stage for His strength to be made perfect. -- The "deformity" or chaos in your current situation is not the end of the story, but the starting point for a divine turnaround. Is Our Faith Dead or Alive? - Pearls of Wisdom 084

Is Our Faith Dead or Alive? In Matthew 25:31–46, Jesus presents a vivid picture of the final judgment. The Son of Man comes in glory, gathers all nations before Him, and separates people as a shepherd separates sheep from goats. To those on His right, the King offers blessing and inheritance of the kingdom prepared for them. The Evidence of Mercy The reason He gives is very practical. They: Fed the hungry Gave drink to the thirsty Welcomed the stranger Clothed the naked Cared for the sick Visited the imprisoned These acts are simple, yet profound expressions of mercy. The righteous are surprised by this commendation and ask when they performed such services for Him personally. The King answers that whatever they did for the "least of these," His brothers and sisters, they did for Him. In this way, Jesus identifies Himself closely with those in need; compassion shown for the vulnerable is counted as compassion shown directly to Christ. The Cost of Indifference The focus then shifts to those on the left. They receive the opposite verdict. They are not condemned for obvious crimes, but for their failure to act. They did not feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, welcome the stranger, clothe the naked, care for the sick, or visit the imprisoned. Like the righteous, they are surprised. They ask when they failed to serve Him. The King responds that whatever they did not do for the least of these, they did not do for Him. Their guilt lies in neglect and indifference to suffering and need. The Parallel in James This teaching finds a striking parallel in James 2:14–17. James asks a piercing question: “What good is it if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds?” He illustrates this with a practical example: If a brother or sister lacks clothing or daily food and someone responds only with kind words but does nothing to meet the physical need, what good is that? James concludes plainly: "Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead." A Unified Message Together, these passages present a unified message: In Matthew: The King points to concrete acts of mercy as evidence of a life aligned with His kingdom. In James: The writer insists that faith must be more than words of belief; it must express itself through tangible care for others. The Heart of the Matter A striking feature in Matthew's account is the surprise of both groups. The righteous did not realize they were serving Jesus when they helped those in need; their compassion was not calculated or self-serving—it flowed naturally. Likewise, those who neglected the needy did not recognize the weight of their inaction. James reinforces this same principle by challenging empty speech. Words without action are insufficient. Faith that never leaves the lips and reaches the hands is lifeless. Both texts also emphasize that neglect can be as revealing as wrongdoing. In Matthew, those on the left are condemned not for acts of cruelty, but for failing to act. In James, the failure to provide for a needy brother or sister exposes the hollowness of professed belief. Silence in the face of need becomes a testimony against the one who claims faith. Both passages confront us with the same searching question: Is our faith dead or alive? ******* Hear more messages and find out more about Oyster Bay Church of Christ in Crawfordville, FL on our website: https://www.obcoc.org/ And here: https://pearlsofwisdomonline.org/
