E15 – Campfires and Drum Circles
A reflection on where the world of AI is taking us. What is financial freedom? Why do people want to become millionaires in order to live a quiet life in the forest or on the beach? Why would someone want wealth in order to enjoy doing a regular job? In today's episode, Karl explores how perceived security dominates human behavior and why the communal campfire and drum circle is the ultimate manifestation of human happiness and wellbeing. Can we take a shortcut and reach that state today of being today?

E13 – Berlin Filth
Karl ventures into the underbelly of Berlin. After some time there, he coins the saying, “In Berlin, it’s weirder to care about shit on the street than to actually shit on the street,” all while recording this very episode from a parking lot outside the Ostbahnhof Terminal on a rainy day.

E12 – FOMO
Karl meditates on what FOMO means (fear of missing out) while baking inside the hot firetruck, pondering if it is a guide or a distractor. Does FOMO bring him where he needs to be? Or does it simply cause him to miss the present, where life actually happens?

E11 – Fear and Loathing in the Netherlands
Karl spends what felt like weeks — but was probably just days — in the Netherlands. The country is intense, and Karl decides to return to Belgium to soak up its culture a bit more. Recorded on the side of the road in the sun, this episode is a stream of consciousness filled with observations on what makes the Netherlands the Netherlands.

E10 – Rest Stop
This episode was recorded between E08 – I Could Never Live in France and E09 – Belgian Blue. It never got released, so here it comes now. It was recorded on a rest stop between France and Belgium, somewhere in France along the toll roads. Karl had spent so much time on the toll roads that he was beginning to feel like he was stuck in a liminal space—the endless in-between where the purpose is to arrive and not to stop and ponder.

E09 – Belgian Blue
Belgium turns out to be a multifaceted place, and it blows Karl's mind. Modernist meets ultra-west. There are canals that travel across bridges, massive enough to carry serious boats. Belgium has a flair and flavor that weaves together several feelings and cultures — reminiscent of places that shouldn't go together, but somehow do.

E08 – I Could Never Live in France
After a fantastic time in France, enjoying wonderful food, nature, and culture, Karl realizes he could never live there. He coins the term "high effort society" after observing a country caught between the rule-following precision of Germany and the freewheeling charm of the Mediterranean.

E07 – Break Up With Your Business
Many entrepreneurs get consumed by their own creation. They allow their business to eat their energy and time to the point where they are eventually working for their business instead of their business working for them. This episode explores how a mental shift can liberate you from such proverbial slavery and help you recognize that you are the source of creation.

E06 – Letting Go, Faith, & Appreciating Outcomes
Karl explores what it means to trust that inner voice—perhaps the voice of God, your soul, or the universe—and allowing it to guide you through life. Sometimes we question our path, and that is when we need to learn to let go, have faith, and trust the outcome. When things do not turn out as expected, there is meaning in that too, no matter if the outcome was good or bad. Learn to appreciate both.

E05 – Slaughtering the Phantom Audience to find Your Authentic Voice
Karl deletes a few recordings and realizes he is heading down a slippery slope that leads to no more content being released. What was the reason? After some introspection, he finds the phantom audience, and dismisses them in order to liberate his voice. This episode covers the creative process, "just doing it" and not falling into the trap of perfectionism. There is also a side quest exploring the transformation from creativity expressed as entrepreneurship to creativity expressed as art, and what that means. Enjoy!

E04 – CBD is Not Good for You
Karl has an encounter with CBD and is not impressed. He has smoked lots of weed in the past but has largely cut that habit as of late. He decides to try CBD to see if it can be a good substitute, but instead discovers the dark undercurrents of addiction, habits, ritual, and crutches.

E03 – Freedom and Camping Outside a Prison
To my friends at La Barca in Bussana Vecchia, it was a great pleasure to meet you all. To the Latvian guys, I wish we meet again. To Ronald and Sofia, I am sure we will. Me and Skrong had to leave because the cops drove us away from sleeping at the prison street. So here we are, on a beach in Marseille, France. Much Love, Karl

E02 – Introduction
After a noisier E01, recording while driving on the French equivalent of the Autobahn, Karl records the intro to the podcast itself. This is a brief overview of what this project is about and how it will naturally evolve.

E01 – Gen Z and Going Offline
Karl drives from Antibes in France towards Marseille. After having spent the night at a Carrefour Hypermarket parking lot and working on his laptop the following morning, he reflects on how the digital world causes us to constantly withdraw from the present moment. Can we be present while simultaneously preoccupying ourselves with the digital realm? Does it limit our creativity if our canvas is restricted to the fixed, 2-dimensional format of a screen?
