    What is Long-suffering?

The content explores the concept of long-suffering as a fruit of the Spirit, defining it as the patient endurance of troubles and provocations without retaliation. It emphasizes that this virtue is not a product of human effort but a result of yielding to the Holy Spirit, which enables believers to remain calm and hopeful even when immediate circumstances are contradictory. Key scriptural references, including Galatians 5:22, Colossians 3:12, and 2 Peter 3:9, illustrate that long-suffering reflects God's own dependable and merciful nature toward humanity.   Further discusses the importance of perseverance in righteousness, describing the spiritual path as a marathon rather than a sprint. It highlights that both prosperity and adversity are purposefully orchestrated by God to refine character and deepen faith. Ultimately, the indwelling of the Holy Spirit provides an internal experience of divine love, fostering a steadfast hope and the ability to find joy in all circumstances, trusting in God's sovereign plan and ultimate goodness.

    Letting go of my MIniskirt

God may endure "vessels of wrath" to manifest His power and justice.   Though you have a choice, I recommend yielding to the Lord. This surrender recognizes His sovereignty and wisdom; everything God has for you is found through His will and grace.   God has already blessed you, but yielding opens doors to unknown opportunities and spiritual breakthroughs.   God orchestrates everything for your good. Trust Him and His promises, as His timing and ways are perfect.

How to Get Through a Divorce - Part 1

This podcast tackles the stigma of divorce, asserting that while marriages fail due to incompatibility or deep wounds, a core spiritual truth is a lack of God at the center. The host shares her testimony of obedience, where God instructed her to leave her marriage—which began on a flawed foundation (cohabitation, child, superficial love)—for peace.   Key to navigation is seeking God first (Matthew 6:33) and delighting in the Lord (Psalms 37:4). The host addresses the "Does God allow divorce?" question, arguing that the deeper brokenness is a covenant not centered on God. Jesus ushered in grace, and God repurposes even divorce for good and ministry (Genesis 50:20). The host believes God allowed her divorce for a greater purpose, promising restoration.   Confidential one-on-one coaching is available; email [email protected]. Join next Wednesday at 7:00 PM for Part 2.

    Weary in Well-doing

This podcast explores the biblical antidote to weariness and defeat: "not get weary in well doing, for if we faint not, we shall reap in due season" (Galatians 6:9). Weariness is a feeling; fainting is a choice to resist. The surrounding verses establish: personal duty (v. 5); supporting spiritual teachers (v. 6); the universal law of consequence, where one reaps what one sows (v. 7); and the choice between sowing to the "flesh" (corruption) or the "Spirit" (everlasting life) (v. 8). Verse 9 assures that perseverance in good deeds will be rewarded in God's perfect timing. For sustained resilience in life and marriage, the focus must be on God. Isaiah 26:3 promises "perfect peace" (Shalom) to those whose minds are fixed on Him and His promises.

  8. 11

    Trusting God In the Process

Trusting God, though difficult, is essential, distinct from mere belief or self-effort. God's command is "Fear not," with guidance in His Word.   The core of an abundant life is seeking God's Kingdom first (Matthew 6), bringing peace through His sovereignty. Romans 5:1-5 shows this peace is forged in experience: justification grants peace (v. 1), Jesus gives access and causes rejoicing (v. 2), trials build patience (v. 3), patience yields experience and hope (v. 4), and hope is secure by the Holy Spirit's love (v. 5).   God's power surpasses human effort; trust offers an incomparable treasure.   To build trust, unlearn rituals—human attempts to control or earn favor. True holiness is heart transformation.   Practical steps to strengthen faith: Pray consistently: Listen and surrender anxieties. Engage Scripture deeply: Meditate on promises. Practice Gratitude: Note blessings ("faith ledger"). Embrace Silence: Dismantle the need for control. Obey and Act in Faith: Build spiritual muscle and prove God's sufficiency. Bring all emotions to God; He delights in intimacy. Trust transforms life from anxious striving to peaceful reliance.

    Fasting for your Husband

Fasting is a powerful spiritual discipline, intentionally seeking God through faith-filled prayer and self-humbling. While couples should fast together, a wife may be called to intercede for her husband's spiritual well-being, standing in the gap as a source of support.   This denial of the flesh focuses the spirit, but expect intensified spiritual warfare. We are called to persistent prayer for our husbands' protection, wisdom, and growth—a vital spiritual responsibility that enables a "quiet and peaceable life."   When fasting for your husband, target prayers for: Refinement of Character: Gentleness, meekness, and integrity. Temperance: Victory over sin and healthy responses. Discernment: Spiritual insight in decisions. Soft Heart: Receptiveness to love and God's guidance. This intercession is spiritual warfare. God grants specific insights for targeted prayer concerning his unique battles. Trust God to answer; He actively hears, guides, and protects your marriage, rooting your union in His covenant and love.

  10. 9

    Meekness - Strength under Control

Meekness is disciplined strength under control, not weakness or passivity. True meekness is the deliberate, spiritual choice to use power with gentleness and self-restraint for God's glory; it is complete submission to God's will, requiring immense inner strength.   It is not manufactured but a byproduct of faith—the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) that purges pride. Genuine meekness requires God's intervention and enables us to receive His word (James 1:21), leading to inheritance (Matthew 5:5).   In marriage, meekness is powerful emotional intelligence, prioritizing peace over the need to be right, such as choosing to "let him fuss."   To cultivate it: Embrace Humility; Practice Patience; Submit to God's will; Seek Guidance; and Serve Others. Finally, surrender personal anger and the urge for retaliation to access God's superior, powerful defense.

  11. 8

    Vengeance in a Marriage

This podcast discusses how the human urge for vengeance, especially in marriage, must be surrendered to God. Marriage is a sacred covenant with God, making Him the sole arbiter of justice. Seeking revenge is a spiritual pride that usurps His authority.   Surrendering vengeance is not passive; it's an empowering act of faith. By going to God first, the Holy Spirit purifies motives, illuminates the best path, provides strength to speak the truth in love, and ensures perfect justice is administered. Holding onto "tit for tat" responses only damages the relationship.   Deuteronomy 32:35 declares, "Vengeance belongs exclusively to God," liberating the wounded spouse. Trusting God means maintaining one's character and peace, believing He will handle the situation. A praying couple should take hurt and anger to God, who can convict a spouse's heart more effectively than human argument. This active prayer invites God to step into the disagreement for restoration and justice, often with better outcomes than anticipated.   It is essential to diligently study and understand your husband's needs and emotional landscape. Your submission to your husband is obedience to God and the ultimate way to bring Him glory. When upset, immediately turn to God in prayer. Express your pain honestly, then trust God to defend and correct the situation. His correction is fair and may involve softening your spouse's heart or correcting an ungodly response in you. God is the God of restoration, and anchoring your marriage in faith provides the necessary patience, forgiveness, and perseverance for all challenges.

  12. 7

    The Fruit of the Spirit

A Spirit-led life fulfills the Law's intent (love for God and neighbor), bringing freedom from sin. The "works of the flesh" (Galatians 5:19-21)—including sexual, worship, relational, and other destructive sins—are the predictable result of a sinful nature. Paul warns that habitual practice of these excludes one from the Kingdom of God, emphasizing the need for God's intervention, not just willpower.   In contrast is the Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), nine virtues flowing from the Holy Spirit as a reward for obedience and dependence. These are: Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering (Patience), Gentleness, Goodness, Faith (Faithfulness), Meekness, and Temperance (Self-control). Against such virtues, "there is no law."   Believers have Crucified the Flesh (V. 24), decisively breaking the power of the old self. Therefore, our daily conduct must Walk in the Spirit (V. 25), an ongoing dependence that produces the Fruit. Paul warns against Avoiding Division (V. 26) caused by "vain glory," which leads to "provoking" and "envying" one another. The Fruit is the tangible evidence of Christ working within a believer who walks with Him.

How to Pray for your Husband? - Part 2

Once God confirms your future husband, your prayers must shift from general to targeted intercession for his specific journey. This is a secret trust that refines you into his future wife.   You may struggle to accept God’s choice, especially if he seems unavailable. Trust God; He is preparing you both. This revelation is a spiritual ignition switch, drawing you closer to God, but remember: praying for him primarily changes you. Surrender your agenda to withstand spiritual attacks.   If your husband is not spiritually engaged, first intensely pray for yourself. You cannot change or convict him; that is God's job. Focus on your own internal change, wisdom, and self-control. Avoid becoming a contentious woman. Be a living testimony of grace.   In a distressed marriage, prayer is your lifeline for healing and strength. While individual prayer is key, united prayer is the most powerful defense, forming an unbreakable threefold cord (Ecclesiastes 4:12). Commit to praying together.   For general prayer, intercede daily for his health, finances, relationships, and integrity. A wife’s prayer is a powerful covering. However, the essential instruction remains: Ask God directly. He holds the blueprint and will reveal specific areas to target.   The fundamental takeaway is that prayer fundamentally changes you. Cultivate an active prayer life, recognizing God as the ultimate source. Seek God first for guidance; He promises to answer. Make prayer your first response.

How to Pray for your Husband? - Part 1

Today's teaching, split into two parts for the weekly Wife Stewardship Podcast, focuses on the specific act of praying for your husband. Building on our previous lesson on the general nature of prayer, we now emphasize the unique prayers your husband needs from you.   Prayer is a life-altering force that works not only in the person being prayed for but also, and often more significantly, in the person praying. Therefore, praying for your husband will initiate a powerful process of change and refinement within you. Your personal transformation is often necessary before God pours out blessings on your spouse.   While praying together is important, cultivating your own intimate, solitary relationship with God is crucial for spiritual insight and effective intercession. As his wife, God will grant you specific, privileged insights into your husband's needs that are best shared only with God in private prayer.   A deeply rooted relationship with God is vital because it enables you to know His voice for clear direction and discernment, and to draw on Him as the ultimateSource of wisdom. This ensures your prayers are aligned with His perfect will.   This lesson on stewardship and prayer applies to all women, regardless of marital status, for their current or future spouse. Prayer is the most effective tool a woman has, and this teaching aims to equip you to wield it effectively by answering pressing questions about interceding for your man. You can only pray effectively for the man God has called to you, receiving unique insights into his life.
