Following the previous week with guest minister Pastor Israel, Pastor Chris returns back to flesh out "The Lord of the Harvest" where he extends on the ideas found in Matthew 9 & 10. Pastor Chris highlights that Christians should be sober of the times we are in, should be diligent in our approach to the nations, and our hearts should move with compassion to Israel just as it did with Christ. Pastor Chris also highlights how the promises at the end of chapter 9 and throughout all of chapter 10 are not realities that took place during the time of the apostles, but were instead prophecies of thing to come in the last days; a culmination of God's divine plan where he will bring salvation back to its origin. On this Sunday Pastor Chris Rue delivered us a message surrounding the theme of Matthew 9 and the imagery of the harvest which reflects the language used in the Book of Revelation where Jesus will return for his harvest. Pastor Chris walks us through the scriptures from the OT and the NT reflecting on God's heart that is moved by a people (harvest) which is unafraid to step forward and intercede for those in need, that like Jesus who was moved with compassion when seeing a people that was weary we should also partake in this heart posture when we interact with believers and unbelievers. Let your daily prayer be that Jesus will come and be formed in you, making you more like him. God be with you all.
