I read “Visions Beyond the Veil” at a time when the Holy spirit was doing unprecedented (so I thought at the time) things with the youth in the youth group I was a volunteer youth pastor for. The book VBV recounted similar but more significant moves the Holy Spirit activated among orphans in China in the 1900’s. It is an account of the Holy Spirit showing orphans in China visions of the death burial and resurrection of jesus and more. Many of these kids had not yet been exposed to teaching on the things that they were shown in the visions. After/during the visions they could share with resolute accuracy the exact things confirmed by the bible. This book rocked my world. I hope it rocks yours. We were each created for exhilaration of full abandonment unto God. Whether we realize it or not, we crave wholeheartedness and naturally despise the feeling of being lukewarm. The abandonment God is looking for is reachable today even before we arrive at full maturity. We can love God in a way that He deems "radical" even in the context of our everyday lives and our present-tense circumstances
