003: Ladies in the Wilderness
from Glamp Queens Hosted by Glamp Queens
Episode Summary: Hike up those skirts ladies! We’re diving back into history to learn more about some amazing wilderness women! In this episode we take a look at how it all began and question why more girls and women alike aren’t encouraged to get outdoors and stay outdoors. We’ll explore the amazing life of Dr. Anne LaBastille: ecologist, photographer, and journalist. And for all you Girl Scouts out there, we’ll talk about Juliette Gordon Low, founder of the Girl Scouts of America. “It gives me tranquility, a closeness of nature and wildlife, good health and fitness, a sense of security, the opportunity for resourcefulness, reflection, and creative thinking.” - Dr. Anne LaBastille. Let’s Get to Know Each Other! Curious about camping for the very first time but don’t know where to start? Is there a topic or question you want us to learn more about?
