004 : Little Troopers - Louise Fetigan

Welcome to the third story in the series. Today I'm talking to the wonderful Louise Fetigan from Little Troopers Little Troopers is a registered charity supporting some of the 130,000 children with one or both parents serving in the British Armed Forces, regular or reserve. They provide fundamental resources, initiatives and events to ease and aid repeated separation periods aiming to keep parent and child connected and bonded even when miles apart. Louise herself served in the British Army and saw active service in Kosovo. Her husband is a serving soldier who has undertaken six operational tours of duty since their daughter was born in 2003. Louise is passionate about helping all the Little Troopers at home through the anxiety of deployment and also the stress of a long course or exercise having experienced first hand the impact it can have on the family. She now runs the charity from her married quarter in Windsor and is moving in the summer. I loved talking to Louise today. Her passion for the charity and the work that she puts in can only be admired - she is quite literally the busiest person I have interviewed so far!
