01. My Inspiration for Starting this Podcast

from The CompassionRX · host Kristen Jardine PA-C, Lifestyle Medicine PA and Christian Mindset Coach

Welcome to TheCompassionRX a podcast inspired by my personal experience with burnout and witness to the desperate need for more compassion and humanity in the healthcare system.   Are you a PA who is:  has achieved much, yet feel like something is missing?  You've tried so many strategies, but deep down you feel empty inside?  Show the world a masque that everything is "ok" yet secretly struggle with inner turmoil? Maybe you desire a purposeful and meaningful life, yet are uncertain of your next step? My name is Kristen Jardine. A Lifestyle Medicine PA-C for many years, I learned the hard way how sneaky and unexpected burnout can be, along with the devastating impacts it can have on your life. In this episode, I share my personal experience of burnout, including:  The slow, gradual process that resulted in compassion fatigue, cynicism, and apathy for my PA calling to practice medicine. How walking away from the PA profession was not the answer I thought it would be.   The transformative life changing belief that when combined with neuroscience helped me to master my mindset and put burnout to rest; permanently.   This same belief helped me reclaim my passion for medicine and successfully return to clinical practice with a renewed sense of purpose and hope.    Hint: it's not what you think it is.  May this episode bless you!    ❤️You. Are. Loved.❤️  Kristen   Did this episode inspire you?  I’d love to hear from you! Connect with me at: [email protected]
